A Classic French Bistro in the heart of Edison Park has been a dream of Executive Chef and owner Joe Calabrese for several years. Joe was professionally trained at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America located in Hyde Park, New York. Before opening his other restaurant, Zia’s Trattoria (located one block west of Café Touché at 6699 N. Northwest Highway) in 1997, he was sharpening his professional – and knife – skills at several well-respected Chicago dining establishments including Ambria, Spiagia, Un Grand Cafe and the Park Hyatt. Joe lives in Park Ridge, a few short miles from the restaurants, so expet to see him in both restaurants assuring a quality experience for his customers. On days off, Joe can be found at home with his wife, Mary Kay and their 3 boys. Reservations by phone: 773-775-0909. Cafe Touche is one of my neighborhood restaurants that always seems to fit the bill. Whether it’s lunch, dinner, or just appetizers and a drink, it rarely disappoints. Yesterday, I was there with two friends one of whom hadn’t been there, and they both raved about the French Martinis and the delicious food. Our waitress was professional and efficient, and did the perfect amount of “checking on us”.

Having experienced Cafe Touché several times in the past, I have to say they are as good as ever. Food, service, and ambiance are excellent. There are a lot of nice restaurants in Edison Park and Park Ridge but this is where you go if you want a really nice night out. Thanks as always!

Cafe Touche is a cute French restaurant. We've been for brunch a few times, but this was our first visit for dinner. We arrived about 10 minutes late, then needed to wait 15 minutes before being seated. We were finally seated around 7:30 (7:00 reservation). All of the windows and doors were open. We were seated directly next to the patio, open to the outside. It was pouring rain the entire meal. My husband was getting wet, and the table was wet. The open doors and rain made it very humid in the restaurant. By the time we left, my hair was sticking up all over the place, not too cute. Half price bottle of wine was great, portions were appropriate, and service was solid. Lots of fun food choices on the menu. Cafe Touche is definitely worth a visit.

Took my father to Cafe Touche for a Father's Day celebration. As usual, the food was outstanding and we had a wonderful time. Thanks to the service team for making this a special event for him!

Wonderful experience. Food is excellent especially their specials. Escargot appetizer is excellent. Menu is diverse, Italian, fish, chicken ala French bias. Bartender is very skilled and generous pours. Try it here, you will be back. Check their website, for no corkage fee, half price wine and Monday thru Friday happy hour.

Great food and service! The cocktails are terrific. We love the open-air windows and vibe of the restaurant too. One of our favorite ones in this neighborhood.

It was my friend’s 40th birthday. It was her first time here. (I love your restaurant) Carlos was our fantastic server. Then Greg (your fantastic manager) brought out a dessert and candle for us to celebrate. It truly was a perfect brunch with great drinks, food, the atmosphere outside (heaters were fantastic), and the service, conversation. I could not have asked for a better day for my friend. Thank you for having a great team!
