A Classic French Bistro in the heart of Edison Park has been a dream of Executive Chef and owner Joe Calabrese for several years. Joe was professionally trained at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America located in Hyde Park, New York. Before opening his other restaurant, Zia’s Trattoria (located one block west of Café Touché at 6699 N. Northwest Highway) in 1997, he was sharpening his professional – and knife – skills at several well-respected Chicago dining establishments including Ambria, Spiagia, Un Grand Cafe and the Park Hyatt. Joe lives in Park Ridge, a few short miles from the restaurants, so expet to see him in both restaurants assuring a quality experience for his customers. On days off, Joe can be found at home with his wife, Mary Kay and their 3 boys. Reservations by phone: 773-775-0909.     Great food and service! The cocktails are terrific. We love the open-air windows and vibe of the restaurant too. One of our favorite ones in this neighborhood.

    It was my friend’s 40th birthday. It was her first time here. (I love your restaurant) Carlos was our fantastic server. Then Greg (your fantastic manager) brought out a dessert and candle for us to celebrate. It truly was a perfect brunch with great drinks, food, the atmosphere outside (heaters were fantastic), and the service, conversation. I could not have asked for a better day for my friend. Thank you for having a great team!

    Had dinner with two friends, and as always, everything was delicious and service was great. When we arrived the hostess showed us to our table, and the waitress came by immediately. We were brought water and a very warm and lovely baguette. The restaurant was not too busy at that point but that changed very quickly. It soon became very lively, but the server and busboy did not skip a beat. They were friendly, helpful and very efficient the whole time. Our appetizer, meals and beverages arrived in a timely manner and all were amazing. Will be back next week.

    Cafe Touche is on of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. The delicious dishes, welcoming staff and delightful decor are a winning combination. A special shout-out to our server Janet who never fails to remember our names or favorite drinks. Big thanks! Brava!
