A Classic French Bistro in the heart of Edison Park has been a dream of Executive Chef and owner Joe Calabrese for several years. Joe was professionally trained at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America located in Hyde Park, New York. Before opening his other restaurant, Zia’s Trattoria (located one block west of Café Touché at 6699 N. Northwest Highway) in 1997, he was sharpening his professional – and knife – skills at several well-respected Chicago dining establishments including Ambria, Spiagia, Un Grand Cafe and the Park Hyatt. Joe lives in Park Ridge, a few short miles from the restaurants, so expet to see him in both restaurants assuring a quality experience for his customers. Brunch was delicious! My Brennen eggs were cook perfectly and my daughter said her chorizo eggs were spicy and delicious! I loved the bottomless mimosas. The only thing that keeps me from rating a full 10, is there were basically no alcohol free options for my pregnant daughter except a Bloody Mary. It’s disappointing how many places do not offer mocktails 😟. Other than that everything was great!

The menu was very good as was the food. It was quite noisy due to live music and I had trouble hearing conversation with my friend. I will go back to enjoy the escargot and steak tartare. I enjoyed the ravioli, although it could have been hotter. Service was good and attentive.

On the positive end, the food and service were excellent. The only negatives relate to the fact that our dinner was on Mothers Day, which was rainy. The rain eliminated the availability of all outdoor seating. The restaurant seemed to compensate for the lost outdoor seats by squeezing extra tables inside. The natural result: no room to move, and noise through the roof. It’s still an excellent restaurant, but the overall dining experience that night was less than stellar.

We had a choice of sitting inside or outside. Since the weather was perfect, we sat outside. It was a good choice. We’ve dined here several times and love the ambiance and food but it is pretty noisy inside. Wait staff is very accommodating and friendly. Food is consistently good. A fun and busy atmosphere. Like a French bistro!

The crowd was large, had to wait for a table. Thursday was soft live jazz night so extra special. Food was very enjoyable along with the appetizers and salads. Overall a very enjoyable evening with good friends.

Great service! The food was very good , I’ll try the pancakes next time. It was very busy, but things ran smoothly. Al was our waiter, and he was top notch . It’s our first time for brunch, and we will return soon.

Wanted to love this brunch but we left feeling like all of the food was just fine. I had the lemon curd pancakes that only had a tiny bit of lemon curd on them and they tasted weirdly savory, like the butter in the curd had encountered something else on its way. The chicken on the chicken and waffles lacked flavor and the waffles were also just fine. Feels like there are a lot of missed opportunities with the food but the service was wonderful.

Outstanding evening as always! Cafe Touch has become one of our go to restaurants. Our party had 4 different entrees and all were delicious. We also had requested a quieter spot as one of the folks in our party is hard of hearing and they gave us the best table in the house. Love everything about this place!

We had never been to Cafe Touché before. Had a phenomenal dining experience. Ate outside on a beautiful spring night with a great musical duo in the background. Appetizers and meals and wine were all outstanding. Service was excellent!! We all agreed this was the best dining experience that we’d had in a long time. Will definitely be coming back!!

We ate outside while live music played. Our waiter was professional, welcoming and efficient. Our mussels and poulet roti were delicious. Possibly the best bread and butter are served here. The waiter even had the kitchen split our entree into two dishes for us. Delightful dinner experience. Everyone around us enjoyed the evening as well.

Always love the food and atmosphere, we are in the neighborhood so go often. Live music was nice but way too loud. Unfortunate because went w/ cousins we dont see often & hard to carry conversation. We sat in the front of restaurant.

We love Cafe Touche for Easter, Mother's Day and Father's Day, as well as for dinner occasionally, especially in the summer when we can sit outside. Easter was a beautiful day here and we were able to eat outside for brunch. The food is always good, as it was on Easter, however the service was very slow. We waited 15 minutes to even see a waiter outside and waited 25 minutes for drinks after we ordered them about 20 minutes in. It was frustrating to see tables near us who were seated after us or at the same time get served drinks and food before we did. Since it was a beautiful day, we decided to go with it, but it is good to know ahead of time that the service on holidays for brunch can be slow. Usually by 2 pm, which was our reservation time, the brunch traffic slows down, but it was still really busy when we arrived and when we left.

We went for Sunday brunch and the food and service were outstanding. I had the Bananas Fosters French Toast with bacon and it was DELICIOUS. Planning on going back to get the Lemon Curd Pancakes next time. Friendly and attentive service. A real neighborhood gem. Highly recommend!
