Friends recommended and we were not disappointed! Yummy. We had the flambé cheese and escargot to start... the hog snapper entree for both of us. The restaurant was not pretentious but still nice and the service top notch.

Busy night for a Tuesday. Service was okay. Very small pricey restaurant. I indicated that it was our wedding anniversary, but I guess they do not cater to celebrations. I usually don’t mind the price if I am being attended to. For example, if our table was serviced more often, I would have ordered more wine. Just was not as intimate as I believed it to be. However, the key lime pie was fabulous.

We read a number of reviews and was skeptical that so many we very positive, but the place delivered in a number of categories. The wine list was very extensive. We had both carpaccio apps and they were prepared very well. Entrees were very well done and different than many of the other places on the Island. The food was in the same league as Latitudes, in my opinion, just different in location and decor. Hogfish was great, and salmon was top notch. Service was top notch.

I would recommend this place anyone looking for something, not your typical Micheals or Latitudes, (which are my favorites) but great food in a unique atmosphere. Not Cheap, but well worth it in my opinion.

We had the Hogfish speciality and it was good, but not worthy of all the hype. The French Onion soup was off the hook, though!! It was the best we EVER had!! Nice fairly quiet table inside. Jason our waiter was great. Out of the way neighborhood, street parking really hard to find. We were two blocks away. It was good, not great, but interesting experience, nice romantic ambiance. A bit pricey.

This restaurant is a Key West classic! The food and service are always a delight. The restaurant has an intimate feel. Try the hogfish. It’s delicious. So is the duck. Wine selection is fabulous.

We arrived early for our reservations and had the option for three course dinner. Selections were ample and the food was wonderful! Our server was courteous and attentive. We left with full stomachs and happy hearts with the good wines by the glass. We would come back.

This was our first time we ate at Cafe Sole. We did not know it till we arrived that did a special 3 coarse meal special if you did not want to order off the menu but this was only between 5-6:30. The table started off with soups and the portabella soup was very good. Then everyone had the hogfish entree's, since it was their signature dish, and it was excellent. Then we all finished off with desserts which the key lime pie and the strawberrys in balsamic was perfect. The portions of the meal were just right that you did not feel stuffed when you finished. We will definitely plan to go back our next trip down.

We had a great meal. The hogfish special melted in your mouth. Wine reasonable. Key lime pie was very good. Tables are pretty close together but we enjoyed conversing with others.

This was our second time having dinner at Café Solé during our week long visit to Key West. There were some noticeable differences in the service and food between the two experiences. The signature dishes were memorable both times and definitely a great deal on the special price three course dinners available between 5 and 6:30 pm. We did not enjoy the additional appetizers we ordered on our second visit. The signature portabella soup was more flavorful than a weaker lobster bisque. The rice in the seafood risotto was slightly undercooked and was saved by the well prepared tasty scallops resting on top of the risotto. While the duck l'orange was well prepared we preferred the delicious hogfish entrée. The key west pie was very good both times, however the sugar in the very sweet topping on our second visit was granular and not adequately worked into the topping on our second visit. We preferred the key lime pie without this very sweet topping which is how it was served on our first visit. While we enjoyed both visits and definitely recommend the restaurant, we preferred the well deserved signature dishes.

"Angels on Horseback" were fantastic and are a must-try! Lovely venue with inspired cooking. The hog snapper is justifiably famous! Recommend the duck a l'orange too.

Excellent dining experience! A gem for food, service and ambiance. Had the best Hogfish and Key Lime pie in Key West. Located in a quiet residential area of town with free and easy street parking. A must for the discriminating traveler!

Special recognition needs to be extended to our waiter Jason. Jason is one of your superior waiters. He exudes the absolute best in outstanding customer service. Our service, his kindness, courteousness, efficiency and knowledge were noteworthy. Our experience was truly special.

Wonderful food and atmosphere. Where the locals Dine.The hog fish snapper is wonderful and comes with a nice assortment of vegetables. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is what you would expect for Key West. We come every time we visit and have never been disappointed

This was the top recommendation of the boutique hotel where we are staying. This was our first trip to KW so we followed their advice. I had read the reviews and saw a definite pattern of inconsistency. We dined there anyway on the strength of the referral. First, the restaurant was not full and they tried to seat us in a "jammed in' corner table where one could not move their chair away from the table without running into a side wall supporting beam - or even sit square to the table because of it. My wife asked to be moved and was accommodated while I was parking the car. The service was upbeat, polite and attentive for most of the evening. My wife's escargot came and was tepid - she asked if they served it piping hot as we have ALWAYS had it served - anywhere we have dined. The waiter said "No, the chef prepares it this way". We were dumfounded as he didn't ask if she wanted it heated up to her liking. Our soups were delicious and the entrees came promptly. Both her grouper and my hog snapper were delicious. Her vegetables were room temperature - mine were hot. we finished dining & I laid down my credit card & asked for the check when the waiter finally came. He said I'll be right out - stopped to clear another table and went into the kitchen. He finally came out of there, stayed in their service area and forgot to bring our bill. After several minutes I walked up and handed him my card and expressed my displeasure. He was nonchalant about it. I returned to my seat and he brought the bill without a word. I signed the receipt - left a pittance of a tip and left. We walked past 2 other employees who didn't so much as look at us, didn't say a kind word, nothing.
This restaurant has the "bones" to be a Five Star experience - yet they don't put forth enough effort to come even close. We were very disappointed as we are dedicated foodies and know what it takes to prepare gourmet quality meals from scratch. They didn't deliver for us and we won't dine there again.

We started with the garlic-stuffed dates wrapped in bacon (melt in your mouth delicious), then I had the stacked beet/goat cheese salad (excellent) and the Fruits of the Sea with pasta as the main dish. All was presented well and tasted superb. Very friendly and helpful waiter. Also had a bottle of wine -- decent wine list to chose from.
