Went for dinner to celebrate two birthdays. It was a little warm inside as we sat by the carving station. The food was great, my family enjoyed the shellfish. I loves the mashed potatoes and beef selection along with the pasta station. I am not a big dessert person, but the desserts were AMAZING! There was a chocolate mousse cake and I think either a tres leches or tiramisu cake that was so yummy! The potstickers and dumplings were delish too, wish there was a sauce for them though. Jason was our server again(we had him for mother’s day) he was great! And all of the staff was lovely. I would go back, but maybe during brunch.

Thank you for celebrating with us! We're glad you enjoyed the food, especially the desserts. We appreciate the feedback about the temperature and sauce. Jason and our team are delighted you felt well taken care of. We hope to welcome you back for brunch! The Cafe Sierra Team

Michael was attentive and quick with his service! Great energy, friendly service, and overall just a great experience. The only issue I had was me calling in advance on 3 different occasions speaking to Jared, plus two different women to verify the team member discount. I asked if it is only covered for the amount of people on the room or the whole bill. I was told 3 times the whole bill will be 50% off as a team member with a room reservation. When we received the billed I was informed only 6 people are covered… so I think that is something that needs to be communicated to the team. Again, I called 3 different times and spoke to 3 different people giving me the same information. 50% off for AYCE seafood is still a great deal though. We will still be back and hoping to see Michael again! (:

Horrible buffet. Don’t waste your money here. The food was terrible and looks like it has been sitting out all day. The lobster thermador was salty and the color of the lobster meat was gray looking. For $109 per person you would think they provide better food. Never would I come back here. Very disappointed.

Overated for the price! Food was cold when needed to be hot, the cold food was semi-warm. Lobster was chewy. The mac n cheese was good. To bee very honest, ive had better food at other , not gonna name, buffet resturants. I assumed that it was going to be nice and intimate! Nope, it was regular and seats to close to others. It was the birthday persons choice because of the IG post, but they lied. We were all so excited to taste good food. The good thing that came from spending $1400.00 for 7 people was the company of the people in our group. Not worth it at this price.

We came in for an 8 pm reservation and it started off with a rude hostess who after verifying our reservation asked us if we realized how much the buffet cost… really? After confirming we know the cost she then seated us. Our waitress was great and explained the buffet and drink options including however we opted to order cocktails which were delivered quickly and tasted great so kudos to the bartender as well. Now for the food - my husband is the seafood fan and we are from Washington state which has great seafood. I am not a fan and was here for his experience and the non seafood dishes. The seafood- he started with a lobster (overcooked) and snow crab legs (excellent) also the melted butter had an off taste and had a bit of a brown tint and we assumed it had been sitting there all evening and had a burnt flavor. His seafood go went downhill from here with the cold seafood where everything was watery and overcooked. He finished main course with a prime rib slice from the meat station which was excellent and some overcooked king crab claws. On to dessert for him with a crème brûlée that obviously had been sitting for too long that the sugar on top was no longer crisp but a soggy mess and the custard was not good. Now to my experience- I grabbed a plate and picked up a small portion of multiple items to see what I wanted more of. The angry mac and cheese was average but was just slightly warm the pork belly was good and the Parker rolls were great. The carrots were really good and the only thing that I went back for seconds on. I was super excited to see the Asian choices but that ended pretty quick when I bit into a pot sticker and it was so dried out we wondered if it was from the day before. Everything else I tried from the main dishes had obviously been sitting for too long and should have been replaced with fresh servings. I also found the desserts old and unappealing.

Worth the money based on the seafood options! Some drinks also included in the price like sangria and champagne.

My husband and I went here for our once a month cheat meal on date night. You walk into music playing and greeted by Michael our server. This is a buffet so usually you only see server to refill drinks but not Michael. He was amazing always checking on us and such an amazing person. Food was delicious and Catalina at the sushi bar was great. Best date night by far between the service and food.

Thank you for your wonderful review! We're thrilled you and your husband enjoyed your date night. We're delighted Michael's exceptional service and Catalina's sushi impressed you. We'll be sure to share your kind words with them. We're glad you found our buffet and atmosphere perfect for your special occasion. We look forward to welcoming you back for another fantastic experience. The Cafe Sierra Team

We had such a great experience the first time we came, but this time it didn't seem to be worth it. Our waitress was very nice and attentive, the musician played a wonderful choice of music, but I was disappointed with the king crab legs. I had asked for a lobster and king crab legs, but the 2 tiny pieces of crab legs I was given was all dried up that I couldn't even get any meat out of it. I had to throw it away. Thr lobster, however, was really good.
Cafe Sierra at Hilton Universal CityResponded on March 3, 2025
Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry your second visit didn't meet your expectations, especially regarding the king crab legs. We apologize for the dried-out quality and the small portion size. This is not our standard, and we'll address this with our kitchen team to ensure better consistency. We're glad you enjoyed the lobster, waitress, and music. We appreciate your loyalty and hope you'll give us another chance to provide a truly exceptional experience. The Cafe Sierra Team.
