Treat Mom to a Special Buffet of Culinary Delights!
Plus a Rose and Chocolate Gift for Mom

For a hotel restaurant food was good and service staff works hard. Manhattan I ordered was disappointing.
Options Galore! Everyone gets to have what they want. Flowing mimosas and live jazz music helped tune out the other guests. Loved it.
Had to watch an incident unfold. Patron fell and hit her head. Lots of staff standing around. Staff did not seem to ne moving expeditiously to handle the issue. Ruined ambiance. When it was almost time for last call for champagne, the waiter came through and the table requested one more round. He said he was coming back to pour, however, when he returned he said it was too late for more champagne. Manager was called.
Pre Mother’s Day
Made resv. for Easter Sun. brunch. on 2-12-18. Over priced at $60 per person. Got call in March that it would be $75. Celebrating Daughter's Baptism. No senior discounts. Was stuck back in a room not the dining room. Had to have help with plate being too far away from our table. Not worth the money.
Have been here a number of times and must say that the value for a holiday meal is off! The Price regularly is $58.95 and on a holiday day like Easter, etc they raise it to $75.00 per person and they add nothing extra. As a matter of fact they don’t serve the caviar on holidays like they do on other Sundays. Yes it is a buffet with various crab legs, oysters, prime rib, lamb, salads, desserts, udon and sushi but on a holiday don’t expect good service. If they cleaned the dirty plates from the table and took your silverware, don’t expect them to replace the items. For some reason no waiter looks-up. They all just look in the direction they are going so you cant catch their eye.
A nice touch for dessert is their flavored cotton candy. Also note that they have a cold-stone type of ice cream as well as a soft serve. The soft serve is located by the Asian food on its own little island.
The food quality is good as it should be for the price, but try it for a regular Sunday brunch before you try the Holiday brunch, or you may not return.
Great selection. Taste and food quality was good. Not overly impressive for the price.
The price was so expensive about $65 per person. The food was so so. The line is too long it's not even worth it to Fe the food as it wraps around the dessert, sushi and meats/lobster thermidor. They used to be faster and the thermidor didn't have to be limited to one. They used to just sit there and anyone can grab them and in however much they want. Poor setup, quality, selection and price not consistent.
Very much well worth it. Great selection, extensive selection, staff was very attentive.
Awesome buffet!!! I’ve been here many times with my family, relatives and friends. Excellent food and service!!! 👍👍👍
Not much Chinese, American food to eat, just crabs and lobster are the main menu.Overall it's 8 out of 10. I love King crabs so I will go again.
The lobster was over cooked and and the selection of food was slim..
Not worth $60.00 a pop.
I would consider returning if the items that I like was cooked to perfection...
I'm usually not a person that write bad review's, but this time I felt the need to allow them a chance to improve.
We were disappointed. The selection was limited, there wasn’t much of a salad bar, the seating was tight and not relaxing at all and it was far too expensive given the limited selection
As usual the food was delicious, the service was outstanding, very relaxed atmosphere. Nice place for a large or small group.
Amazing brunch! The variety of food was incredible -- something for everyone. We left fat and happy!
Celebrated my birthday and was so happy with the variety of food specially the lobster
It was pretty awful. Although they had Alaskian King Crab legs, they were impossible to crack. No scissors; just a nutcracker. They had steamed lobster but it wasn't good quality as a few of those lobsters were mushy.
I loved the variety of food and the ambiance
Went for Sunday brunch. The food selection is very good and they have lots of options. Overall it is good but not great.
Few issues, service is very lacking. Even though it's a buffet the wait staff clearly wasn't very good.
Another issue was cleanliness. Glasses and utensils were not clean. I can even understand spots on glasses (which honestly there shouldn't be) but they were outright dirty. Asked the waiter to replace water glasses ave he got new ones that were just as dirty. For the price they charge they really ought to give clean glasses and utensils.
Large groups should avoid this place and try other brunch buffets. The noise level is ridiculously high because they seat too many people. They have live music, but might as well not have it since you can't hear any of it even if sitting near the band.
Overall 3 stars for this place
The food was great but the service was slow.. it takes 30mins to get our drink, even water refill
My family is always here for a special occasion. The newly updated interior makes the room more spacious. Service is excellent all the time and waiters and waitresses are polite. Food is good but it would be great if they can serve Mediterranean dish koz it's common for a Chinese/Japanese /American foods...although we enjoyed coming here for their unlimited lobsters! ;-) Lobster Thermidore is a bomb! My kids love the food as well as the dessert station.
Lovely; updated decor. Also light & airy. Seafood buffet is excellent. Numerous other buffet choices which are also excellent. Buffets often just have loads of food which is mediocre however the food is first rate. A very good place for a special occasion brunch.
Food are great, many choices, flesh, seafood are awesome, and dessert are beautiful and teasing so good, our server Amy is so friendly and nice, she made our dinner more enjoyable, especially it was our 49th Anniversary, we felt we made the right choice to go there. Thank you! We will be back.
Good food, friendly atmosphere, professional staff, excellent menue for any test
We usually visit on Special days ie: Mothers Day, Fathers Day, but this time we went for a Birthday, it was fantastic, nice and quiet, food was fantastic, service was superb. If you are looking for a great place for Sunday Brunch, this is our favorite in the Valley.
Overall, I truly enjoyed and would highly recommend their Sunday Brunch
My wife and I were celebrating our 35th anniversary while staying at the Hilton Universal. We had planned on dining outside of the hotel, but after a long day at Universal Studios we decided to dine-in at the Cafe Sierra. We were very glad we did.
The restaurant was almost empty on a Wednesday night during low tourist season. So we enjoyed the quietness and ability to spend our romantic evening in virtual solitude .
For dinner M-Th, diners are presented with a choice of prime rib buffet or menu options. The buffet presented a wide variety prepared food. Soups, salads, variety of vegetable, meat and fish dishes, and....dessert options that were beyond tempting. Various cheese cakes, pastries, pies and select fruit dishes. A chocolate lovers joy, too!
The food was well presented and the cook staff engaging and able to respond to questions. The wait staff, Maria and Julio, provided outstanding and prompt service.
Though we had expected to spend our 35th anniversary at some fancy restaurant in LA, my wife and I were very glad we chose to dine-in and relax at Cafe Sierra.
A totally wonderful place for a spectacular Sunday Brunch. It's a little pricey and then you need to pay a lot for parking. But...if that doesn't bother you, the selection is huge and quality is fantastic. Includes champaign. Fresh seafood, caviar, carving station, asian selection, fresh crab, soup station, stir fry to order, lots of desserts!
Best in the West!!!
Sea food quality is second to none.
Great food, great service, we always go to this restaurant for a fun filled evening.
The choices were great. The food seafood tasted fresh and there were lots of choices. Loved the sushi and hand roll station. I did not see any bread and vegies were not abundant unless you do salad. Otherwise, loved it and would go back!
Great sea food buffet. Quality of the food is great. Service was very good the waiter new it was my moms birthday and he rushed to get a cake with a plate that said happy birthday they sang to her and she loved it
Went for a Prime rib and Lobster buffet.. Lobster was ok.. Prime rib was cold and bland.. dessert was good.
The Sunday brunch was a bit pricey, but had a big selection of good food and desserts. The placement of the carving station outside of the dining area was a little weird, but the prime rib was excellent. The live band was pleasant to listen to while eating. The service at other tables seemed good at other tables, but my waiter was not very good.
We came here for my husband's birthday, he loves seafood, and he was happy with the selection. We had lobster, sashimi, poke, crab, even grabbed some tacos and crepes! It's a good spot for seafood lovers and people that loves to eat different things.
Stayed at the hotel for a couple of days and each time the same dish was prepped differently. Kids ordered Shirley Temples, no cherries. I ordered a Bloody Mary, no garnish at all. Ordered fries along with my sandwich and they were greasy, not crisp and I had basically the ends of the potatoes in tiny slivers, more like shredded potatoes, not fries. Horrible experience. Adjacent bar has the same menu and the service and ironically the same food was better. Go figure!
Charged $45 for the buffet. Very disappointed with their food selection. There may be 20 items max on the menu. We are talking about a buffet at the Hilton. Didn't think they prepared enough food either. The guy in charge of the taco/Mongolian BBQ station didn't even know how to cook. Definitely would not go again.
Food was good, service was great. Price was expensive.
Universal Hilton has changed and NOT for the better, I have been having brunch and recommending the Universal Hilton for many years (20) and I won't be doing so again. The remodel has made the selections fewer, and the seating far less comfortable and inviting. Many favorites are gone now. I cannot imagine what they added to make this worth $65 per adult ( Holiday Flair) for New Years Brunch. The email and poster said they began at 10:30, food wasn't ready until 11:20... we were seated at a very dirty table, and the floors were still littered with sausage links, napkins, and various breakfast refuse ...
The shining star? ALLEN, our server made this all more palatable. Thank goodness they hired Allen who was a very attentive server and a bright spot in very disappointing and expensive morning.
Overpriced for a mediocre meal. Specifically, the buffet. My daughter, 12, was charged as an adult. She had a small serving of Caesar Salad, 2 steak tacos and half of a slice of chocolate cake. Not worth the price.
