We were seated by the kitchen, staff kept bunking into one of the people at our table. The maitre’d was extremely rude when we asked for a table change. Ultimately, we left after our salads since at this restaurant customers do not come first!!!
One of my favorite restaurants. The food is fabulous, but the noise level is always very high which sometimes makes it difficult to hear the people you were with.
My favorite Italian restaurant in Palm Beach. I love the milestone soup (which is huge) and they have the best ravioli with sage butter sauce. The wait staff are all over you to make sure everything is perfect. Can’t wait to go back.
Food service and wine excellent
Another delightful dinner. Hector was excellent and Paola and the staff were great
This was a strange mixed-bag experience. Our wait staff was very attentive when we sat down and answered questions from the wine list as well as the menu. He inadvertently spilled over a full glass of water on my brother. Not a problem. It was cleaned up. After we finished our delicious meal the same waiter spilled over my sister-in-law's glass of water which splashed onto her almost-finished plate then onto her pants. This time the waiter didn't seem very apologetic and I don't know why. We thought he might have gone out of his way to make amends but he actually didn't seem to care. We had to call over the manager as my SIL's pants were clearly stained. The manager came through with taking off a salad from the total bill but it was almost like pulling teeth. He offered free dessert but we are not dessert eaters. The food was EXCELLENT, but perhaps our seasoned waiter was very off that night. It ended strangely.
Anyway, BE CAREFUL.
The service has been a bit slow the last few times and orders didn't come out together. Food is always good and fresh.
Food and service were outstanding, however prior to finishing our meal the staff began setting up for next meal moving tables talking loudly with no consideration for us despite a hefty bill. When I complained to the manager who was drinking wine and flirting with the hostess he was indifferent , defensive and hostile. As a yearly visitor and frequent patron this experience was definitely denigrated by this inexcusable behavior. It appears to Mr that their losing a long time customer was of no interest to them. Palm beach has many other choices, I would avail myself of them rather than waste an evening where you are made to feel insignificant and unimportant.
No daily special. The same menu specials that have been on the preprinted menu for months. Are you kidding. Overpriced standard fare you can get at the local pizza place. The servers are terrible. Can’t take a basic drink order correctly. I will not return.
Authentic Italian food. Quality food and prepared the Italian way. Can't wait to return.
All I can say is.......OUTSTANDING!
I dine out quite often and being from NYC, I do know good Italian food. This was my 2nd time at Cafe Sapori, it will be my favorite when in this area.
Best restaurant in West Palm Beach!
Excellent service and always good food. Fish special was great.
As always the food here is delicious.
It's innovated Italian and well thought out.
We ate outside where we never had before and the noise level was less.
Upbeat and festive in feeling.
Getting into the Valet parking was an issue this time.
As always, Cafe Sapori was abuzz with conversation. Our meal was outstanding from the grilled octopus to the roast chicken. The vino smooth yet robust. A neighborhood favorite.
Too noisy. Service was OK, no more. Traffic around our table was absolutely horrific. The noise and the servers running around with glasses around our table made it impossible to enjoy. The food was average and disappointing.
noisy with poor service
bill needed adjustment
Noisy and disappointing.
I wish I had something nice to say.. the staff was unkind, the management poor, the noise level and acoustics were also bad. Most of the people we were with (6) DID NOT LIKE THE FOOD. Very pricey for nothing special. I hate writing bad reviews but this was necessary to share. Our experience was AWFUL
Wonderful meal. Bran Zuni was outstanding as usual
We go to Cafe Sapori quite often and enjoy the food, ambiance and service all of the time.
We've been coming to FL for the past 6 winters, and our meal at Cafe Sapori is the best we've had so far, in the Palm Beach area.
Our waiter disappeared. Eventually another waiter took over but the wait for service was annoying. Hopefully this was an unusual occurrence. The food was very good. The restaurant is quite noisy and we had some shouters at a nearby table
We received our drinks and food in good time.
When our food was served, our entrees were not given to the right person and it was done so quickly that we had to rearrange our entrees ourselves. Also, we were all drinking water and we had to ask twice if we could have some water. Also, I may be old fashion but I personally do not like a table cleared until everyone is finished.
Also, I ordered the clams and was not given a small fork or large spoon, I have had them before and always received the correct utensils.
Thank you for asking me about the service and hope we will have a better experience next time.
Below average in regards to the food
Authentic Italian cusine in a charming Palm Beach ambiance; and excellent customer service.
Great authentic italian food. Will definitely return and recommend. Best italian I have found In west palm.
We go there often. They packed it in very tightly. So loud you couldn’t hear the person next to you. Very disappointing.
One of the best, if not the best kitchen in Palm Beach
The food was superb as was the service on a very busy night with the Trump motorcade outside the door. This was the first time dined here. My pasta with octopus was excellent as was the chicken parmesan and the other specials my friends ordered. The wait staff is truly professional.
The service was rushed. We felt as if we needed to decide on our selections and eat fast so that another party could be seated. Not what we would expect for a $500 meal.
We went there for Valentine's Day and it was perfect. From the warm greeting at the door by Francesco to an enjoyable glass of wine at the bar and then a great table and perfect meal. The food, service and ambience were unbeatable. We will be back again soon. :-)
Valentines Day at Cafe Sapori was a nice idea, BUT it was packed and wait times were extensive. The waiter was good, and what the meal lacked in quantity was offset by taste. There were not many mid range priced wines by the bottle.
On a normal evening, we presume reservation times would be closer to time of actual seating.
We were there Valentine's Day evening. Our reservation was for 8.15 and when we arrived, the line to be seated went all the way out the door. We were seated at 9.00. It looked like they had over-booked - it may have been better if they had two seatings because the earlier diners did not seem to want to leave. In any case food was really very good once we were fed!
A bit busy parking and checking in for Valentine’s Day, and I think they were overwhelmed, but once we finally checked in, the drinks, food and service were terrific
Big crowd for Valentines night but they handled it well. Authentic high end Italian gourmet food!
We booked a reservation via OpenTable for Valentine's Day. Café Sapori had good reviews and we had attended functions here in the past.
When we arrived for our reservation, we quickly realized that the restaurant had significantly overbooked itself. This was surprising as the restaurant was showing available reservations up until the night before Valentine's Day.
There was a line out the door as we arrived, and even though we had a reservation it took about 15 minutes to get us seated. We were seated in the corner about 18 inches away from another table. It was clear that they had packed in extra tables and chairs and the entire floor was unbelievably crowded.
The service was awful. I asked the server what a "tortini" is and he told me that it's an omelette. This sounded odd so we ordered the Zucchini Fritte. I looked up "tortini" on my phone and discovered that it means "little cake". So basically the item on the menu (tortini di granchio) is crabcakes. I got up from my table and asked the server if we could change our appetizer. He stared at me deadpan and said "I already put in the order". It had been about one minute.
For the rest of the night, the service was incredibly slow. We waited from the time we ordered our appetizers to about 15 minutes after we were done with our appetizers to order our entrees. Another server had to come over to our table to take our order.
I had to ask 3 times to get a water refill.
I decided to order the Lasagna. This turned out to be an incredibly salty and very mediocre dish.
Perhaps the highlight of the night was the creme brulee. This was a decent dish. The chocolate cake tasted like something that came out of the freezer section at the grocery store.
When we got our checks, the server said "it's valentines day" as if to excuse himself from the bad service.
I don't put this on the wait staff (other than the rude server who refused to let me change my appetizer order). The ownership got greedy and overbooked V Day.
As always the food and service was outstanding, bit crowded and noisy, but one would expect that on Valentines Day. Excellent job by service staff as busy as they were, will be back.
