Service was fantastic, food was very good, ambiance was great, overall a very enjoyable experience. I recommend them.
Great food, casual atmosphere, great service, cocktails done well, prices good too.
Fantastic Restaurant. Very friendly, good service. It was a really nice place. Fantastic food.
So many great vegan options on this menu. Best Vegan Mac and Cheese IN ALL OF SEATTLE!!
All four of us thought our meals and drinks were absolutely delicious!
Most recent visit here was pretty poor - the food was very lacklustre. The lamb ragu was just ground meat, and the gnocchi was like fried potatoes (no sauce - really dry). Not sure if it's a new chef, but a real disappointment after some great meals in the past.
Great find. The food is extremely well prepared and delicious. If it were in my City, I would be there frequently. Very relaxed.
We went for restaurant week and their prix fixe menu was a trifecta - the endive citrus salad, baked salmon entree and chocolate flourless cake dessert were all delicious. Our server was fun and engaged and I thought the space itself was adorable - soft lighting and soft wood surfaces made for a quiet, relaxed, comfy atmosphere.
Was there for Restaurant Week. Had very limited wine selections left and it was very noisy. Liked the food, though.
Excellent kale Caesar. Good mussels, fine steak, outstanding cocktails. Reasonably priced for the area.
Great vibe, beautiful interior, friendly staff, knowledgeable Bartender, delicious dinner & all accompanied by a DJ (on 6/30/17) that knows and spins grooves that I'm used to hearing in New York, NOT Seattle, I loved it all!
Why I will come back...All of the above! I especially dig that my Bartender knew how to mix up craft cocktails from a bygone era, The Last Word and a Bijou. Both beautiful on the palette. The Bijou at this joint was superior in taste than all other Bijou cocktails that I have previously sipped. What a great late date place!
The ambiance and service are always good at Pettirosso, but I went with a group of friends over Pride weekend and they had a pared down menu and served beverages in plastic cups. I would have been okay with that if what I'd ordered had been cooked well (brisket sliders), but the meat was over-cooked/charred/dry.
Service was slow, our waitress never smiled and seemed very unfriendly. Food was delicious, I recommend the Jodi burger and chicken dish. Aside from the not so nice waitress, the atmosphere and food was good.
First time at this Cafe. The food was outstanding. A cranberry orange scone was perfectly prepared. The eggs, chicken chorizo, red potato hash and toast were perfect for brunch. Their coffee bar drinks are outstanding! I loved the cardamom latte and a dining companion enjoyed the Mexican chocolate latte. All in all, an excellent dining experience. Putting this place on my return to list for brunch!
Fantastic place with impeccable food and service! Great options for vegans. The mac n cheese is the best!
Lovely, quirky, cozy spot for lunch with friends or colleagues. Comfort food with a wholesome, healthy tone.
I have been going to Pettirosso since it was a tiny cafe tucked into the wall many years ago and all along the way as it grew into the delightful restaurant it is today; I can't recommend it highly enough. Just do yourself a favor and go.
A perfect little bistro. The steak frites was quite magnificent. The duck confit croquettes were superb. Ling cod was perfectly cooked. The service was friendly and perfectly paced. We've discovered a local gem
The tofu scramble was out of this world! I also loved the cardamon latte. Our server was a bit smug, but friendly enough not to deter from my overall enjoyment. I will be back!!
Our waiter didn't even try to hide the fact that he didn't want to wait on us. The service was incredibly slow. When I tried to wave him down to place our food order, he looked at me and then decided to ignore us. He wasn't even discreet about it. We got through dinner with little attention from him. When it came to getting the check, he brought us the check without asking how/if we wanted to split it. When we asked him to, he angrily grabbed it and rolled his eyes so hard I thought his eyeballs were going to fall out of their sockets. The restaurant had ok ambience but completely ruined by the bad attitude.
Nice ambiance and varied menu offers lots of flavor choices.
The food was nothing special. We were expecting something more as menu variety and quality of the food. We would not reccomand this place.
It was such a great find. The food was great and the cocktails where very creative. Loved the decor and the playfulness of the place. Also the waiter ensured everything was amazing. Highly recommended
Love, love, love this place. It's a neighborhood treasure in an area filled with restaurants and bars, and it feels so cozy and welcoming. Food is great, too.
What a hidden gem this place is! I was in town with two colleagues for meetings and was searching for a place for dinner on our last night. I didn't do a lot of research so I didn't really have a sense of what we'd be getting--this place simply met my criteria of being within walking distance of our hotel, being reasonably priced, and having good reviews on Open Table. Boy did we hit the jackpot. The food was so incredibly tasty and nourishing, and it was filled with subtle flourishes. For example, the touch of lime in the brisket sliders was such an unexpected and delicious addition. We loved everything we got, and the nice quiet atmosphere and friendly, un-fussy service was exactly what we wanted after a long day of meetings. I highly recommend it.
The menu has changed the last several times I've dined here for lunch. They always offer a great assortment of options for a business meal, especially for guests who are vegan or vegetarian.
I love to go here when I am headed to Capitol Hill!
We love the ambiance of Cafe Pettirosso but we both found our entrees to be bland (risotto and roasted chicken). Desserts and drinks were great though!
We love this place and decided go for NYE dinner. We were pleasantly surprised that they had a whole NYE event planned with a dance floor, DJ, and champagne. It was not super crowded and we ended up have a wonderful dinner and an awesome NYE celebration. This place is truly a neighborhood gem.
Amazing food and drinks. Really creative and yummy. Will definitely return.
I had been to Cafe Pettirosso for brunch before and had an excellent experience, so we decided to come back here with my family for Christmas eve dinner. I had made a reservation; we were seated right near the kitchen entrance and when we asked to be moved to one of the several empty tables, the staff person assisting us made a big deal about this and came up with numerous reasons why that wasn't possible. She ended up moving us, which we were very grateful for. Our servers came across as curt, disinterested and impatient; I was there with my parents who don't live here, so sometimes they have a hard time making decisions about what to eat and have questions as they are less familiar with the food items -- it would have helped if our server could have been a bit warmer and more patient with them. The food was disappointing; the cheese plate was excellent, but in the entrees the burger and chicken were below average. For the deviled eggs, you get 1.5 eggs for $10.50, that doesn't seem like great value. Overall, I was disappointed with this dining experience, especially since I had had such a positive experience during brunch. The restaurant and overall experience felt like the opposite of festive, both with the ambience and staff. I do love this restaurant, but I wouldn't recommend this place for dinner or for a special occasion.
Christmas Eve dinner: Roast Chicken, normally excellent, but this time, not being crispy outside, seemed day-old; reheated. The Bolognese was disappointing. Just seemed to be ground beef; some vegetables, and lacked a beautiful wine-infused sauce. Pretty sure we will not be back for awhile given all the restaurant choices in Seattle.
Great service and options in the menu, I enjoyed their wine and beer selection!
I was very disappointed with our dinner service this weekend. I've come here numerous times without issue, but this was an experience that sadly outdoes the positives, and I most likely won't return. I ordered the risotto (which is SEVERELY overpriced), and it was undercooked to a point where it was inedible. I actually tried to eat it, but had to stop and ended up getting a slice of pizza after "eating dinner" because I was so hungry. The parsnips add absolutely nothing except bitterness to the dish, and the entire plate needed to be seasoned! It tasted like cardboard. I wish I wouldn't have had to pay for it, as my server noticed I barely touched it.
Excellent place to grab lunch while catching up with a friend. The charming ambiance pairs well with the fresh take on lunch menu embodying the essence of a cafe. I opted for tuna off the entrees and my friend chose a breakfast/brunch item, which is always great. The coffee was delicious too.
This was an overall ok experience. The majority of employees were pleasant but our waiter really seemed to try and rush us out of there. It wasn't particularly busy, especially for a Friday night, so it was odd how quickly he wanted to turn our table. Food was fine, nothing special about the experience in general. It was all just 'fine.' For a restaurant int he heart of Cap Hill there is a lot of competition, so I would up feeling like I should have just picked one of my usual places, or tried somewhere else new.
Amazing food, great ambience and lovely, humorous waiter. 😊
Excellent choice for a business meal over breakfast or lunch. For lunch, the tuna melt is unlike anything I've ever tasted under this name; and it was an excellent t choice.
Really enjoyed the food, the location, and especially the vibe. Will be back!
