It was my wife’s Birthday and the food was amazing!
Consistently cozy, serving delicious food. Every dining guest is made to feel very special.
It was an amazing brunch! Very relaxing and perfect food.
Always impeccable service and food. My favorite place to go for my birthday. Sea bass is always outstanding
Service was impeccable. The halibut was delicious. Generous servings. Lovely setting. All well done!
We visited Café Pacific due to seeing it on the Food Network for their pecan ball dessert. We decided to visit to celebrate our 39th anniversary which was noted as part of the reservation. We were tucked into a small table in a very small area that was very loud. There were many open tables around us during the time we were dining. The salads and meals were excellent! The service was good, but not exceptional for an "upscale" restaurant. The signature dessert was good, but not exceptional either. As to a return trip, probably not.
We were celebrating 3 birthdays and they were very accommodating and helped us to celebrate them in a quiet but celebratory way.Service as always was excellent food the same and of course getting their signature dessert as a free one was wonderful.
This is our go-to restaurant for a really great meal. The service is the way you wish every restaurant were. We are never, ever disappointed.
Our 33rd anniversary!
They still make the best Ramos Gin Fiz. Fantastic Sunday brunch.
Chef Terry Cook is amazing, one of the best kept secrets in Dallas, TX.
Get together and friend’s birthday. The food is beautifully prepared and presented. The staff and service are what elevate this iconic restaurant above others that are comparable.
Because I'd eaten before at Cafe Pacific, I knew to expect very good food and excellent service. (It's nice that someplace in Dallas has trained staff!) But on this occasion, I had a particularly good experience because we sat upstairs and there was NO MUSIC! I loved it. We were able to converse at a comfortable level and the people around us we not talking in raised voices either. I hope that there can be no music upstairs in the future, to allow those of us with old ears and who value the arts of both conversation and dining to enjoy even more. In hopes that this was not a one-off, I will ask for upstairs again.
I’ve been eating at Cafe Oacific since the late 80’s. I thought it might be slipping the last couple of times I visited but thankfully I was wrong. During my most recent visit the service was impeccable, the food (salmon and peppercorn filet) was cooked to perfection and tasted fantastic. This will always be my go to restaurant in Dallas.
This restaurant is a classic. It is known for service and good food. It is a great place for special occasions and for just a nice visit with a friend or friends. You can get healthy options as well as just great food selections.
Great place with great food. And Mark is the best waiter in town!
The food, service, and ambience were all fantastic.
The service provided by professional waiter, Walter, is one of the main reasons that we keep coming back to Café Pacific.
His old world elegance is a rare thing, and we value his Focus to make sure that everything about the dining experience is excellent.
I highly recomend Café Pacific
It was a good experience. Unfortunately I didn't see the sticked dress code. Was in a nice button down shirt and dressy shorts. It was 110 deg out. They would not let us eat in the dinning area. It wouldn't have been a big deal to wear slacks but didn't see a notice about it on open table. Expensive meal for at the bar. All in all they where very polite about it and the service was good at the bar.
We have always enjoyed Cafe Pacific and it was my first choice to celebrate my birthday w/family! We LOVED it!
Consistently wonderful food with an emphasis on seafood this restaurant delivers great food, service and drinks, and where you are treated well!
This 39 year old gem is one of Dallas and Highland Parks best seafood restaurants. Several of the staff have been there over 30 years and their expertise shows it . The dessert was something my wife will talk about for weeks and the whole experience was outstanding. Our anniversary was extra special because of it .
Food was very good, as usual. Service was excellent with well trained and veteran wait staff personnel, Peter and Walter. Cafe Pacific has been an all time favorite of mine for the last 30 years! It was a very nice dining experience.
our meal was first rate. my wife started with champagne, and I started with a side car. then she had the ceviche, and I had the crab cake. then she had the short smoked salmon, and I had the pepper steak. she skipped on dessert, and I had the key lime tart. we had viader 2010 to drink. it was all first rate. furthermore, the service is excellent, and the ambiance is very pleasurable. café pacific is a very comfortable and pleasant place to dine.
Wonderful food, service, atmosphere!
Birthday lunch with a friend. Everything was perfect! I always know we will have a great time with great food at an affordable price.
The food, service, and ambience were all fantastic. I highly recomend this restaurant
Thanks to everyone for helping me walk because of my bad hip. All else was superb as usual
We were a party of 8 on a Friday evening. Our original reservation was for 6 at 8:15 pm. We changed our party to 8 people which caused a 45 minute delay. Semi-understandable.
The iffy serve started when we were finally shown to our table before the support staff had set up the table. We were chastised by this individual for trying to sit down before he was finished. This same individual took forever to serve water. I guess we were being punished. Next the waiter insisted that we hurry up and order before the kitchen closes. If you have a table for 8 expecting a fine dining experience this is not the first thing you want to hear from your waiter. Another extremely unfortunate thing was that the A/C was not working. I could go on but I think you get the idea. One high note the food was excellent. It’s a tough call whether or not I would go back.
Terrible. So sad. This is a Dallas establishment that has run its course. Server came to the table one time to take our order and then never again. Not even to refill water. Food was mediocre at best and had to ask host for someone to come over and clear and hour after we ordered. Time for new management, new servers or time to wrap it up!
It felt like we were mostly ignored because we weren’t “regulars”. Food was good but service was not great (for us - the waiters spent a lot of time socializing with people they knew). It would have been nice just to have more interaction.
I always go to CP to celebrate a friend’s birthday. It is perfect!
We have been going to Café Pacific since it opened in 1980. It is the best seafood venue in Dallas and ask for Peter as your server. He is excellent!!
The food, service, and ambience were all fantastic. I highly recomend this restaurant. Walter is a gracious and professional waiter. Truly one of the best in the business.
I simply love this restaurant. I travel to Dallas fro NYC, 3 or 4 times a year, and City Cafe is always a place I go for dinner. The staff are amazing, kind and helpful. And of course, the food is amazing too!
This place is always great! We come in about 2:00 PM for our final meal of the day and enjoy the quiet, uncrowded dining room. We've been coming for many years, celebrating birthdays, Father's and Mother's Days, and anytime , really. Great food, unmatched service, both professional and friendly.
We went to Sunday Brunch at Cafe Pacific and it was fabulous. The food was absolutely delicious and we had such an attentive waiter. We started with one of their $3 Bloody Marys, which was spiced just the way we like them, and such a great price for an upscale restaurant. I tried their huevos rancheros which their version is de-constructed and a vision on the plate. The steak, filet slices were cooked perfectly medium rare. My spouse had crab cakes Benedict and was over the moon with the rich taste. We finished our meal with one of the best cappuccinos I've had in the U.S. Truly this was a great brunch experience.
The food, service, and ambience were all fantastic. I highly recomend this restaurant. Walter is a gracious and professional waiter.
Great brunch. The service was even better than perfection.
Some things don’t change—and that can be a good thing! It had been 18 years since we had been to Cafe Pacific and it was as good as I remembered! Peter is an excellent waiter, friendly and attentive. Crab cake and lamb chops were perfect—you must have the pecan ice cream ball for dessert!!
Always wonderful food and terrific service, it is always a delight to dine here
