Cafe Nuovo Ratings and Reviews
As always, the food and the service were impeccable! Our server, John was attentive and friendly but not intrusive. The presentation was beautiful and the food was perfectly prepared. Bravo! We had a fabulous meal and the atmosphere was lively but not too loud. Thank you. I will be returning soon!
Food quality, taste and quantity were very poor. The waiter had the stand off-ish attitude. We dined out a lot and our friend told us to give us a try. We will definitely not be going back. I am a J &W graduate and have been a manager in the hospitality field . This place needs a lot of help in a very competitive market.
Haven't been in a while but won't be hurrying to get back. Food was average ... nothing remarkable. My veal chop was ordered medium but served medium-well and to make it worse was served warm. Other meals were all fine but disappointing overall vs. their reputation and price.
Though Cafe Nuovo is a bit pricy the atmosphere and the ambience is wonderful. The food is very good and the service is always good. For a romantic special occasion Cafe Nuovo definitely fills the bill. Thank you to the staff for their friendliness and great customer service.
I had the swordfish grill with polenta and spinach as my sides. The Swordfish was grilled to perfection and the polenta was the best I've ever had. The spinach was great too. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed their meals as well as the service. Our waiter, also a sommelier, was able to recommend a wonderful wine to accompany dinner. Sean is always awesome.
SUPERB food, genuinely attentive service, and a GREAT location! We enjoyed a lunch on Monday with a view of the river. We both had specials and an excellent bottle of wine. Keith was a pleasure as a server -- he knew the menu and had pro-level table manners (even with our 5-star expectations!)
This place is working hard to maintain their level of excellence. The food is still great as is the outstanding service. Had one of the best veal chops I have had in quite a while and the polenta was spot on. My wife’s tenderloin tips over risotto was prepared perfectly. Solid apps as well. Need to work on the dessert selection and add some tarts or soufflés of some sort to elevate a bit. Wonderful wait staff. Will go again.
The food was excellent. The service was very good. My only disappointment was that despite the fact that we were celebrating two birthdays and two anniversaries the restaurant did not comp a single dessert. Most restaurants of this caliber know enough that it would have made great business sense to do so. Other than that, a very good experience.
Excellent food and service. Found the prices very reasonable. Took advantage of the valet parking. We called ahead to request a quiet table (a pet peeve of my wife) so the 4 of us could easily talk - and they accommodated us when we arrived - turns out neither the restaurant nor the bar were noisy anyways. Definitely go back.
Our party of six had a fabulous dinner. The menu offerings were plentiful and everyone found delicious dishes that met their various dietary needs. The seasonal offerings were very festive and creatively presented. We will definitely be coming back and hope to catch a river fire evening as the restaurant has a beautiful water view.
Very decent place for lunch, nice light dishes.
Service was impeccable.
The place was quiet on a Tuesday lunchtime so lacked a bit of ambiance, and the salad we had for lunch was a bit basic. The crispy sushi starter is excellent.
Good wine list.
Meal for 3 with wine was ~$ 150
Our experience was delightful and memorable. We had hoped for a window table overlooking the Waterfire lighting but due to the chilly weather, all the outside table customers were driven inside! No matter - the food was exquisite, creative and delicious. The waiter was attentive and made excellent recommendations. The herbed chicken was moist and flavorful; the shrimp snd scallops over spaghetti squash was delectable; sundae dessert just decadent enough! Cafe Nuovo definitely will be on our future Waterfire must do list!
