French Onion Soup
Cream of Crab Soup
wonderful dinner celebrating my parents' anniversary, look forward to our next visit
Awesome food! Seemed to be understaffed; service was very brusque and rushed
Cafe Normandie is one of our favorite restaurants and we went there this time to celebrate our daughter's birthday. As always the food was very good...so many wonderful choices it was hard to decide what to order. We loved the booth we requested by the fireplace. The outdoor ambience with the lights and space heaters looked lovely too. We will be back again soon!
Server Melbourne was great
Love the esthetic of the restaurant. The food is delicious and authentic. Great wine. Café Normandie consistently over delivers for an amazing value.
Celebrated 35th Wedding Anniversary on Oct 12, 2020. We wanted French food and took the recommendation of a friend to try here. Probably the best recommendation I have ever received. Escargot, French Onion Soup, Chef Jean Louis Special, Crepe Normandie and Brandy soaked Cherries over Vanilla Ice Cream. Great bottle of wine and glass of champagne for a toast to 35 more years. The food was cooked perfectly and the service was impeccable. If you do not eat here, you are missing a wonderful experience. My wife and I give it 5 stars all the way around.
We loved everything we ate and the portion sizes were very generous! Our server was busy, so she wasn't as attentive as we would have liked, but overall we very much enjoyed ourselves and will be back next time we are in Annapolis.
A fabulous menu of delicious french-inspired food! Difficult to choose which appetizers or entrees to order since they all look wonderful. A real pleasure :)
My boyfriend and I came here for a date night and this place did not disappoint. The steak my boyfriend had was delicious and my scalloped linguine was perfectly splendid! Will definitely come back here the next time we visit Annapolis!
Always outstanding. One of my favorite restaurants
Cannot day enough! Amazing meal!
I’ve been to this restaurant a few times with friends, so I suggested it to my boyfriend as a nice spot for date night. I didn’t expect them to be that busy on a Wednesday night so I neglected to make a reservation, although it seems it wouldn’t have mattered if I had anyway, given the experience we had. We arrived at 6:30 and were told all the tables inside were full (Covid 50% capacity) and we could wait for a table to dine outside. I declined because I was chilly and asked if we could wait to dine inside, and was told the tables were all reserved for the night. I assumed some of those tables were ones posted here on Open Table waiting to actually be reserved, so I checked my app and reserved one available for 7:30. We left and waited the hour, and arrived back to be told our table wasn’t available yet because people were having dessert. The hostess suggested sitting at the bar “to get started” and we agreed. Several minutes passed sitting at the bar (directly in front of the open kitchen) watching waitstaff frantically run around and we hadn’t even been asked a drink order. All of this could’ve been overlooked, had we been seated within 20 minutes or so, but we sat at the bar until 8:15 until I finally said something. At this point, we only had waters, no bread, food and drink orders had been taken, no soup yet. We saw a table near the bar finish and get cleaned off so we wondered about that table for us. The hostess explained she “did not know” when our table would be available and that particular table was “already reserved”. But how is that possible if our table was reserved for 7:30 and it’s nearly 8:30 now? I also ordered a drink, but was told they were missing two ingredients. So I order another, missing the main ingredient in that as well. I settled with what my server suggested and eventually we were sat and had everything brought to us at once. This was the first time I’ve had such a negative experience here and my boyfriend and I were both disappointed
Delicious food, great service, I go for the escargot 🐌
Waitress was great and explained everything . We didn’t have a bite leftover
My absolute favorite restaurant in Annapolis. Food & menu choices, service, atmosphere & prices are worth many times visits. I've enjoyed breakfast, lunch & dinner & Cafe Normandie does not disappoint.
Delicious fresh food, outstanding service. It was half-price wine day so we also enjoyed a full bottle of French wine for $27. Lovely.. highly recommended
Wonderful food and service
Lovely food experience
Superb French cuisine and a very European atmosphere sitting outside.
Food here is absolutely amazing. Everything is presented perfectly looks and tastes amazing. Food was hot and perfectly prepared. This restaurant is my favorite at any price.
Fast and friendly service coupled with fantastic food - beef bourguignon and lobster ravioli!!!
Glad we decided to sit inside. Some of the cars going by on Main had custom exhaust systems. Food was great as always. Half price wine on Mondays!
As always we had a delightful dining experience at Cafe Normandie. The service and the food met all of our expectations. The only drawback (and this is NOT a complaint) is that it was a bit hard to understand our server through her mask. She was very sweet about it and repeated herself until we understood what she was saying. This will not stop us from going back!
Nice day exploring Annapolis. Walked by Cafe Normandie and thought it looked good, and we weren’t disappointed. Totally impromptu visit and glad we stopped in
Food and staff were tremendous. Highly recommend.
We were able to dine outdoors during covid. Cafe Normandie exercised additional precautions, like adding planters so people couldn’t walk between the tables. We felt super safe and they added adorable touches to make it feel like we weren’t just eating in the street. The food and service was wonderful, as always.
Cafe Normandie is a fantastic french cuisine dining option that is practically our primary goto when in Annapolis. We enjoyed a fantastic brunch enjoying an incredibly priced bottle french sparkling rose'. Always on our list to visit again whenever we are in town.
We always enjoy our dining experience here, escargot, veal & quail. All is delicious. We were to full for desert.
I love the relaxed feel and I definitely will return. The Halibut was amazing and showing up for 1/2 price wine night was a real treat ! We both enjoyed our meal, however, I would not order the grilled artichoke again. Service was great
Wonderful experience and exceptional wait staff! Going back again and again
Excellent food. Good service. very nice location.
The restaurant has always been a favorite. The food and service are consistently excellent. I visit family in northeastern France regularly, and the meals at cafe Normandie always take me right back.
I do think that the artificial floral decoration looks a bit dated. The exposed timber & plaster could be beautiful on its own.
Also... maybe have a good hard cider on tap? I’ve never been to a restaurant in Normandy that didn’t offer carafes of cider for the table.
The experience was good, but not memorable. I would eat here again, but it is not at the top of my list. This is a very similar restaurant and atmosphere to La Chaumiere in Washington, DC, but that’s where the comparison stops.
Fabulous meal! The lamb chops were cooked to perfection as was the Ossobuco. I strongly recommend Café Normandie for a special night out.
Very enjoyable evening with no rush from the staff.
I was in Annapolis for the weekend and kept hearing about this place. It was fantastic. I will come back when in Annapolis.
We had just gotten engaged that day and wanted to go somewhere nice, with good food.
Everything from the way we were greeted to the absolutely delectable appetizers and meal were way above the bar. I was extremely impressed. I was not surprised by what we experienced based on the wonderful reviews by everyone we spoke to before we dined ourselves. Our evening could not have been better. The only thing that I can critique is the eclair that was tasty but kind of soggy like it was previously frozen. Great restaurant. I will be recommending it widely to anyone And everyone coming through Annapolis!!!! Thanks!
We love this place! Service is so friendly and food is outstanding.
