such a great restaurant!! i would be back soon for brunch!
Everything was perfect, Natasha was our server and she was simply brilliant!!! Definitely going back!!!
THE BEST FOOD IN AUSTIN!!! The service was incredible, atmosphere was amazing, and this is my top recommendation for brunch, lunch or dinner in Austin!
Thank you SO MUCH for the great review, Addie!
Lots of hype and unfriendly servers. There were very few reservations available so we were grateful to finally get a one. Upon arrival we were surprised to see only 15% of tables occupied. Plus the server was arrogant and unfriendly. We opted to forgo ordering dinner and left after one round of cocktails.
Had the best time with my girlfriend! Great food
Thank you for choosing Cafe No Se for such a special night with your girlfriend! Come back and see us soon!
I had the crawfish beignets, the hanger steak, and the butterscotch lava cremeux. One if the best dinners ever. 10/10
Thank you so much for your review, Tabetha! We are thrilled to hear you had a wonderful time! Come back and see us soon!
Great flavors for Valentine’s Day.
Food was great. Service was extremely slow. My biggest complaint is the bathroom sink. The sink was clogged and it was a low profile style which didn’t leave much room between the bottom of the sink (and even less because it was clogged) and the faucet. Made it hard to wash my hands and not touch the dirty clogged sink water. Yuck.
Big portions, nice environment
We always have an AMAZING experience at Cafe No Se. it’s one of our favor day date spots. The service is always personal and individualized. The food is healthy and delicious! Our puppy, Lucy also love this spot because they have pup-sicles:) thanks for always being amazing!
I was not particularly impressed with the food. We had avocado toast and the cowboy breakfast. The toast was decent. I disliked the pork on the cowboy as it was sweet. The beans had a decent flavor but the sunny side up eggs we cooked through with no yolk. I ordered coffee but it was lukewarm. Just expected fantastic based on the reviews and $35 price tag. Probably not going back.
Best brunch in Austin. Wonderful location for work, dates, or catching up with a friend. The service is second to none.
Thanks for the five stars, Scott!
We had a great dinner but had an issue with the table we were given. The hostess was quick to move us, but you really should inform your guests they will be seated at a high top table beforehand, we could have let them know that wouldn’t work. My mother has a back problem and can’t sit in a higher chair.
Overall loved the food and will be back, wanted to let you know about our experience. Thank you!
So happy to hear you enjoyed your experience with us! We are always happy to accommodate specific requests for seating preferences - simply add a note in your reservation to let us know ahead of time! Thanks again for stopping in, and we hope you'll be back soon!
We got the laffa bread to share, which was delicious, and the warm olives, which were disappointing. The hanger steak was great. Cocktail sizes were pretty small, too much ice, better to get wine or beer.
Surprisingly less crowded Austin on South Congress option for a date night. Great vegetarian options plus something for all (burger and fries or shellfish Paella). My Crispy cauliflower was delicious. The space feels tucked away from the Congress Street bustle and multiple parking options were available. Waitstaff was helpful with our drink order (paleta in your drink description means frozen treat)- we enjoyed the Salty Bee. Reasonable pricing and a nice atmosphere. Will return.
Thanks for the great review, Kathleen! We hope you'll be back soon.
Location is great. Food was meh. Service was meh. Drinks were meh. If I’m paying that much money I expect all of the above to be waaaay better.
Great food. Great service.
My boyfriend and I came here for an early NYE dinner and were blown away by the food, value, and service. Most restaurants were charging and arm and a leg for prefixe (sp?) NYE menus and we were getting discouraged with out search. We then found a reservation at Cafe No Se and the food was absolutely delicious. I have always had a pleasant experience here and highly recommend!
This is always my go to spot for breakfast. The place is cute, the food is great, and it’s usually not as crowded in the morning time. I would definitely recommend this spot!
We came with high expectations based on the reviews and scarcity of open reservations and were disappointed on almost every front. Our meal was during off-peak hours and service was still snails pace. The eggs were over-cooked, the bacon was what you’d expect from a hotel continental breakfast, you’d have to get 3 drinks before you felt a buzz (despite having empty stomachs from the slow service). Two stars for the artwork alone. Maybe they intentionally starve you so you spend ample time observing the space rather than eating. Enjoy.
Thanksgiving lunch/brunch
Brunch was delicious! We sampled quite a few of the pastries! Everything we tried was delicious!
Love this place- delicious food and bev, and great service
Thanks for joining us! We are thrilled to hear we hit all of the marks for you. We look forward to having you back soon!
We were here for Austin Restaurant Weeks and are from their special menu. It was amazing and I look forward to going back again for their regular menu items.
Waiter didn’t seem like he wanted be there, but the food was excellent.
We ordered the restaurant week menu. The food was all complex and very delicious. The desserts were especially wonderful. All in a lovely setting.
We went on a Monday evening and it was pretty empty. There were about 5 tables and 3 servers. It took us 30 minutes to just get drinks and the whole dining experience was 2 hours for apps, entree and dessert. We did the kale salad and crawfish beignet. The salad was covered in dressing and there was only one small beignet. The steak had 5 small bites and it was over cooked and tough. The chicken was fine, but nothing amazing. We ordered the peanut butter and the rhubarb desserts. They were fine, but not great. 2 hours and $130 later, we finally left.
This year, I have eaten in Dallas for restaurant week and in Austin. This was, by far, my favorite meal. Now, I did not understand all the items on the menu, but the server explained them well.
The crayfish beignet was awesome! My friend's chilled cucumber soup with avocados and pickled (something) was subtle and flavorful. Try the hanger steak, wonderfully cooked with a little kick to it. No need for a steak knife. I think my favorite was the butter cake with rhubarb, sorrel sorbet and cream. Oh my gosh, each bite with all the combinations was a true treat and beautiful to look at.
Terrible experience. Had a reservation to celebrate a birthday and took 10-15 minutes to get greeted. Tables all around us were getting service and we were completely ignored. When the waiter finally came up he was beyond rude and didn’t give us attention. Decided to leave and go else where.
It was ok but felt like it was just trying too hard to be different and unique. Some
Of the flavors overwhelmed others and some weird combinations just didn’t work.
We were seated against the wall and the air conditioning was quite chilly. Food and Service was very good with a unique menu.
There some very creative and delicious items on the menu.
We lived our experience. Our reservation was at 5:00, so it was quiet, and we were not rushed at all. The food was exquisite and delightful, as though the chef really enjoyed preparing it! Fun, nurturing food adventure.
It was very good
Service was ok, not fantastic. Shrimp was over cooked in the paella.
I love Cafe No Se. This place has a clean and sophisticated dining experience but won't break the bank. All the food is freshly sourced and the waiters are all very nice and great at their job. If you're looking for a place on South Congress for a delicious brunch or a calming early dinner, this is your spot.
Great salad with Gravlax!
Menu is static.
Service was great but the food was less than average. Super disappointed since I had heard good things about this restaurant.
Friday night after a holiday was a little quiet, and great for us as locals not having to deal a lot of other people. The food was very good, and a small substitution was not a problem, and the service was top notch. Value was in line with other restaurants along S Congress. Great experience.
