    I have no bad things to say about Cafe Navarre. The food, service, and setting were marvelous and while it was fine dining, it was very comfortable and had a bit of a casual feel. I look forward to visiting again.

    Our overall experience was excellent. The Gnocchi was by far the best I have ever eaten. The Mediterranean Sea-bass was good but not great as the broth was not as hot as it could have been. Service was superb.

    We started with the scallops. They were wonderful. For dinner we ordered the filet and bone in pork chop, both medium. The steak was very well done but they did get us a new one. I felt the greens with the pork were a little bitter. For dessert, we had the lemon cake. It was very light and refreshing. It was a nice experience, I just wish the main course would have been as good as the starter and dessert.

    We always go to Cafe Navarre for our annual Notre Dame weekend. Always AMAZING. Our server, Autumn, was awesome. Great recommendations, great attitude and awesome service. Thank you!! Tony always stops by our table to say hello and chat about their latest wine and their new restaurant, Cascade, that is opening next year.

    This was our third or fourth visit to Cafe Navarre. The restaurant was extremely busy on this night before the Notre Dame vs. Ohio State game. The service was prompt and very polite but because they were so busy (and believe me, I am happy for them. Businesses in South Bend need this kind of success) I felt like we were being rushed a bit. My husband loved his wild mushroom soup. My scallop appetizer was excellent. My husband and daughter loved their lamb shank entrees. My walleye was just okay. My lemon cake dessert was good. It is the kind of place where you really need to linger a bit to enjoy it but because we had to hurry, we could not fully enjoy our dinner.

    The food was excellent: showed some creativity and well plated. Service was attentive without being overly so. We thought it was a bit costly, but not excessively. The restaurant is small, that is narrow with the bar taking up considerable space when you first enter.

    Our daughter was in town visiting, so we took her to Cafe Navarre for the first time. Everything was delicious, but we especially enjoyed the crab cake, the ricotta gnocchi, and the pork chop--all were outstanding.

    We had a special family gathering on a Saturday night and had a wonderful booth/table in a little alcove that was quiet and somewhat private. Food is delicious and our server, Autumn, was fantastic. Autumn even had the chef accommodate a special request for a béarnaise sauce for a steak. This is our go-to restaurant in South Bend. Love it!!!

    Food was amazing, server jordon great didn’t rush us and let us enjoy cocktails and talking,, before dinner! Was a little disappointed in the drinks not as good as the past and the sommelier recommendation of the cab franc terrible not a good wine at all

    Cafe Navarre has really stepped up their game recently. I have been dining here for years and was really impressed on my last visit. The portion sizes are much more generous, and the menu now offers a really nice complement of choices. The ricotta gnocchi small plate was outstanding and large enough to share. The Navarre salad was much larger than it used to be and still just as tasty. The walleye entree was a tad overdone, but had great flavors. The restaurant was full on a Wed evening, but the service was outstanding with the floor manager on the scene and helping. If you haven't been here in a while, go back as you will love it.

    My husband and I came for our 1st year married anniversary. When we arrived we were greeted right away and sent to a booth which had an anniversary card there! It was signed by all the staff. I actually forgot the card there which I didn’t realize until we got home. Anyways. The food, the service, everything was impeccable. Definitely worth the money. Thank you Café Navarre for making our night so special!

    We dined on small plates items this trip and enjoyed the variety. After watching several of the entrée dishes delivered top adjoining tables, we vowed to try those on our next visit. John was a very good server.

    I thought Cafe Navarre was better than ever! We sat upstairs where it was much quieter than downstairs. plenty of attention from our waiter and the sommelier. We both had fish dishes and both were perfectly executed. And we would come back just for the steak tartare and gnocchi appetizers! 5 out of 5 stars for us.

    What a fabulous dinner at Cafe Navarre—the food was amazing (the crab cake and gnocchi appetizers to start with the salmon and loupe de mer as our entrees), but we were equally impressed with the impeccable service we received from Ikraam. Highly recommend!
