About
Great place!
Maybe it was an off night, but I did not enjoy the food.
If you need a German fix this is the place!
Loved the grocery selection too
It was ok, a nice local, quiet place to meet and talk. I would go again for a casual lunch.
Had a Sauerbraten Entree with Bread & Butter, and a chocolate torte for dessert. All the food was good, portions generous and service attentive. I was impressed with the authentic selection of German dishes.
Excellent food. Authentic German cuisine Service was top notch. Quiet and cozy. Will definitely return in our next visit to Washington.
Amazing pork chops
As always food and service was impeccable.
Awesome food and they even had a live piano playing in the background!
Our hotel recommended this place. It was so nice because instead of the loud German mucus everywhere else this was the place for adults. The service was fantastic and the food was fabulous. It is a bit more spendy then other places but totally worth it.
Pleasant environment with someone playing the piano. Good service and hearty food. Sound levels low so easy to talk. Gemuetlich!
This was my first time dining at Cafe Mozart on Easter Sunday. I ordered a mixed drink & it came in a tall glass & mostly club soda. Reordered & asked for a short glass...the drink came back in a shot glass!! The house wine was mediocre. The chicken schnitzel was very good, applesauce good & cucumber salad ok. Prices are a little high, but overall very nice restaurant.
Cafe Mozart turns out to be the PERFECT place for Sunday brunch!! Quiet, lovely, and the food is incredibly good! It's a great place to eat any day of the week, of course!
I would like to give this place 5 🌟 but the price of the schnitzel is too high for the quality. I loved the potato pancakes, my nephew had Goulash, which also was very tasty.
The decor is very nice, the service was also kind.
Great meal, simple dishes well executed, with live piano in the background.
Our waiter was nice and friendly, but service got 2 stars because we were 5 and when she brought the check she just said " Ok, I can get only 3 cards." and turned around. And also the tip had 20% already included. If the service doesn't allow to split the check in more than 3 cards, can I at least select the tip amount, please?
Great find in the middle of downtown DC for solid, German food. A highlight was the the Bavarian accordion player who was really talented and delightful to talk with. Go, have a bratwurst with red cabbage and get transported to a small village in Germany.
The setting was good with live music. The food was okay but not at all impressive, especially for the price. Overall, it was pretty good but too expensive for what you get.
They have great food and beers selection one of my go to spots for sausage
Quaint, neighborhood gem. Not fussy. Comfortable. Better than average food. Service is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The live piano music was an added delight.
Unbelievably delicious and wonderful service. Can’t wait to return!
Very authentic restaurant . Great value. Cafe Mozart is one of my favorite restaurants in DC
Great food thanks
If you want something out of the ordinary that transports you from Washington DC to Germany/Austria in a brief few minutes, try Cafe Mozart. What a gem! I took my daughter and her three high-schooler's here for a treat and treated they were. They were fascinated by the music, the food and the friendly staff. We had a "family plan" feast that included three entrees, three sides and dessert. The food was authentic, properly cooked and more than sufficient for our group. The desserts were full sized and added a great finish to our experience. I would highly recommend it.
A hidden downtown gem for the DC locals. It is not on the typical visitor plan.
Great food and beer, nice atmosphere.
The food was delicious. It was like being back in Ramstein Germany. I'm ready to go back again 😋😋
We went on Friday night with a party of 8 for my husband’s birthday. They have an excellent menu of authentic food with gluten free and dairy free options. Our waiter was awesome & the live pianist made the evening even more special!
This cafe is a charming little bit of middle Europe in downtown DC. It’s not fancy but it feels like a slightly old fashioned neighborhood restaurant in an older part of Vienna. There is a pianist playing Mozart in a friendly way. The waiter was attentive, polite and pleasant. The food is genuinely germanic but not ridiculously heavy. We recommend the sausages, schnitzel, red cabbage, and strudel with good quality vanilla ice cream.
Good German food in a friendly restaurant with great prices.
The food was large portions and was pretty good. Its good comfort food.
Best snitzel in town. No doubt at all. Love this place.
We met visiting high school classmates and Cafe Mozart was the perfect spot for a reunion. Big tables, German comfort food, friendly service, not took loud at all. Great hidden gem, we’ll be back soon!
The piano was way too loud. Really ruined the entire dining experience. Was not able to communicate with my date without shouting. The rouladen was just okay. While the beef was tender and while the portion was generous, it lacked flavor. I doubt I will choose to dine here again.
Outstanding find. We were traveling for the weekend and were pleasantly surprised. Delicious food, great personal service, and even a pianist! Great value as well. We will be back!
Our server was excellent. We felt the piano music was a little too loud. The food was very good.
Went on Valentines. Was a grwat place for dinner. Food was good. Server excellent. And a great German Lady playing electric accordian and singing.
Great German food, good service. left full & happy.
Decent lunch with enough selections selection variety to satisfy most appetites.
It was delicious and the people there were very friendly. The lady playing the accordion was delightful.
