The smoked salmon Benedict is divine. Wonderful service, great food and comfy spot.

We went there for Sunday brunch, were seated immediately on the reservation time. Service was excellent, and we both had the salmon eggs benedict which was excellent.

We enjoyed Cafe Monte and will definitely go back. I had the French Onion soup and the mussels as frites. The soup was outstanding and the mussels were very good. My wife had salmon and a house salad. The salmon was outstanding and the salad was good. She really liked the dressing. We’ve been to much better French restaurants, but Cafe Monte is great value for the $. Lisa W. was our server and was friendly and attentive without hovering. We’ll ask for her when we go back. Definitely recommend if you’re at the mall and want a good meal without spending a lot of money.

The back room had no charm, character or ambiance. But food delicious. Next time I’ll request main room.

I have always enjoyed this restaurant and have found the food and service to my liking and I am difficult to please at times. I always recommend this place to my friends and will continue to do so. Most diners adhere to the virus protocol which eases the discomfort of in-restaurant dining.

The BLT was fabulous, however the shrimp vegetable soup bland.
The Trout dish was also cooked to perfection.
Waiter was ok but had no enthusiasm......

Menu items individually were great, although several items were not available. I was looking for a real French flair and an awesome bakery as I thought your website offered.

Nice bistro atmosphere. Escargot was excellent. Endive salad was dry. Risotto had too much cream. Very dense and heavy. Chocolate mousse cake was wonderful. Felt rushed. Food came out exceedingly fast. We were done in 40 minutes.

Our waitress was so nice and attentive. Café Monte has service and a wide variety of options on the menu from appetizers to entrees to desserts.

Love the onion soup, seasonal risotto was very good.

Two sisters having a birthday celebration and we had 5 beignets, florentine quiche with side salad (each), and regular coffees. The food was OUTSTANDING! Our food cost about $42, which is a little steep; but, it was fine for a special occasion. Our waiter was also fabulous. The tables all had gorgeous real roses on them and everything was very clean. We got a large carafe of water, which is nice, since we both drink a lot of water. The carafe beats having to wait and ask for refills. We sat near the windows and it was a little cool, especially since it was a cool, rainy day; but, we enjoyed being near the natural light. The music was just a little too loud for my liking, since I enjoy conversation with my sister. But, I have trouble hearing, so it could just be me. Overall, the occasion was wonderful and memorable and we will return!

This was my first meal out in a very long time. It was a beautiful day so we were able to sit outside. The tables were set at a comfortable distance. The staff was super nice and followed Covid protocols. The food was amazing as always.

Great meal and my four year old granddaughter enjoyed the birthday brunch, too!

We had a great brunch at Cafe Monte! The ambiance and drink menu are the clear winners for us. The food was very good and we will be back!

Cafe Monte is consistently one of the best restaurants in Charlotte. I have been eating here for over 10 years and I’ve never been disappointed. If I were still living in Charlotte I wouldn’t think of sharing how great this place is, but since moving away I always book a reservation here on OT.

There's only one bad thing about dining at Cafe Monte ... trying to decide which of the fabulous meals to eat! I opted for the traditional steak frites this time and was not disappointed. A very knowledgeable gentleman (owner? manager?) helped us select wines and let us taste before deciding what we wanted. I only wish I had saved room for dessert!

Overall great food and great service!!! I definitely want to go back!

The service was well. It felts nice. It's like luxury for middle class. I would say that the menus should be laminated and the prices removed for a better experience. I think there should be cloth napkins & different utensils to provide a better experience when eating. I was eating steak with what cut like a butter knife. The food was great. Maybe for reserved tables have napkins and menus ready. Also for small parties have a place for the bags of women. The table is small & I didn't want to put my bag on the floor. I hope this review helps improve the quality of this fine private bakery.

Amazing experience great service

It was my daughter’s 18TH birthday and everything was wonderful. The restaurant is really well spaced out. Our server was incredibly friendly and helpful. This is one of our favorite places to go, whether it’s a special family night or just a date night.

My wife and I were able to get a babysitter for the day before Valentine’s Day and knew we wanted to go to Cafe Monte. The food and staff are always good at Cafe Monte so we go intending to try whatever is new. We will be back for a future date night.

They were careful about Covid and the food/service was excellent!
