Cafe Monte Ratings and Reviews
So Love Cafe Monte......Classy in every sense of the word!!!! Such ambience for any celebration. Was in there twice last week meeting friends for brunch and now again this week meeting my sister for brunch. All of these get together to celebrate the holidays. I can always depend on Cafe Monte for a wonderful experience!

We have eaten here numerous times and invited our French friends for their first time. They thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the ambience of a "Parisian Café". Typical French café menu fare and desserts & pastries worth saving room to enjoy! Reasonably priced.
I have been wanting to go to Cafe Monte for a long time. I absolutely love this place. I had a Lobster and Crab crepe. Becuase of my diet, I asked for the cream on the side and they did not have a problem with it. It was so delicious. My husband had a chicken salad sandwich and he loved it. My husband ordered a Negroni, Gin and Tonic, Mimosa and Bloody Mary, they were all excellent. Service was superb. Overall it is my a neighborhood gem and is definitely in my top 5 in Charlotte, I cannot wait to go back to jazz night.
The restaurant was not as busy as I have experienced and imagined it would be on a Sunday morning at 11. That being said there was plenty busy which is why the ladies at the front desk seemed a little frazzled in getting my party a table when we checked in with our reservation.
After receiving our table, our waitress while nice wasn’t the most attentive. Perhaps because she had been given an entire side of the restaurant to manage alone.
All this aside, I’ll definietly be back. The food is awesome here.
We had an enjoyable evening at Cafe' Monte. Our reservation for 4 persons was 6:00 PM. We arrived at 6:00 and were promptly escorted to our table. I chose the sirloin steak, while my wife selected the salmon. We were well attended by our waiter and received our dinners within 10 minutes. The food was very good, although I regret not telling our waiter to advise the chef to hold the salt before we ordered. Both my dinner and my wife's dinner were quite salty to the taste. We normally do not use salt on any of our food, which (I suppose) is why our dinner tasted overly salty to us. It probably would have been fine for anyone who typically salts their food. If you don't, I would suggest telling your waiter/waitress to advise the chef to pass on salting your entrees. Other than that, everyone was satisfied with their dinner selections. We had a pleasant evening together. There was a live band playing near the entrance, but the noise level was fairly low and was not electronically amplified. Nice spot for a cozy dinner. Great atmosphere and excellent service.
The visit was very good. We were seated immediately and the hostess was very friendly. The food was prepared very quickly and it came out very well presented. My food was ok, the Parisian omelet was tasty although a little dry and at times flavorless. The other two plates were excellent though. The overall stay was very pleasant.
You were especially busy on Friday so it took a bit longer than usual for us to be waited on.
All of your waiters and waitresses were working very hard. Our waitress continued to make eye contact with us saying that she would be with us shortly. She thanked us profusely for our patience.
We ordered 4 macarons for dessert. When she brought them to us she said- these are on me,
"Thanks so much for your patience and understanding"
It was a great dining experience for us all.
I wish that I could remember our server's name. I was very impressed.
