The paid internship gives them the opportunity to exercise and practice their new skills while continuing to develop leadership, social, and vocational skills for as long as they choose to maintain involvement with Café Momentum. Additionally, Café Momentum works with the Dallas County Juvenile Justice Department to serve youth deemed highest risk for incarceration.

Very friendly and attentive service Reasonably priced appetizers and wines. Both entrees that we ordered were excellent. Great place to visit if you’re downtown Dallas
Modern, upscale atmosphere!
Quality of food and preparation defies the price of the meal! (Downtown Dallas, no less.)
Great experience. Great cause. Upscale food and very reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Will definitely return when I am in Dallas. Give it a try!
Delicious food and for a good cause. Always an enjoyable experience.
Great restaurant with incredible food and amazing mission! The kids who were there were so sweet and such hard workers!
Our new anniversary tradition!!!
Wonderful concept, wonderful people, wonderful food!
The dining experience far exceeded our expectations! We ordered the crawfish fritters and charcuterie platter for appetizers. Both were fantastic and the charcuterie platter was a very generous size. Picking an entree was difficult-you think you know what you want until you see something delivered to another table and you must know what it is. We each ordered a different entree and all 4 of us thought the food was outstanding and the dishes were visually beautiful.
Our server, DJ was very personable and attentive. We truly enjoyed talking to him and getting his entree recommendations.
I rated service as a 4 only because the lack of experience and knowledge was apparent when compared to other restaurants with similar quality food, but it in no way detracted from the evening. Overall the rating is a 5 due to factors not captured by the rating categories. Learning about the program and success is heartwarming and leaves quite the impression -you can’t stop thinking about it.
Dinner last night at Cafe Momentum in #dallas with Chef Patton Robertson was amazing. The theme is a very inspiring. A non profit restaurant teaching at-risk youth, who have spent time in juvenile facilities, all of the different positions in a restaurant while also being mentored by someone who truly cares about the well being of his staff. I had a great experience and highly recommend #cafemomentum 🔥🔥🔥
Just warms your heart to come here. Food is good, service is always a work in progress, but that's the whole point, right? I think it's all of our duty to support this establishment. Thanks to the founders.
I love everything about the restaurant! The cause, the food, and the amazing waiters/waitresses!
It was our first visit after reading about the restaurant's mission. The servers were consistently energetic and attentive. What a delightful evening, food was very good quality and well presented. I will be back.
Great food for a good cause. Some kinks to work out, but the kids are still learning.
Had trouble getting there due to construction but worth the effort. Great mission and kids are trying super hard.
Best collard greens I’ve ever had.
Great food, drinks and service! Interesting menu. Nice atmosphere. Pleasant wait staff.
The food was divine. From the coffee crusted steak to the fried chicken to the roasted baby carrots we loved every bite we had. The service was prompt and friendly. I highly recommend cafe momentum. Also, why not eat and drink for a good cause?
Phenomenal vibe. Food is great. But go to meet the most earnest proud teens!
excellent food, and wine .
and excellent service.
It was a hit! Would definitely come back if we were to come to town again!
I try to recommend Cafe Momentum any chance I get. Just this week I’ve recommended it to a co-worker, a business associate, and an Uber driver! Cafe Momentum is consistently named as one of the best restaurants in Dallas. Their food is off the charts! They always have vegan & GF options available and they’re just as good as anything else on the menu. The best part about Cafe Momentum, though, is what they’re doing for the community. They take nonviolent youth offenders from the juvenile justice center & give them something they don’t often get - a second chance to succeed in life. THAT is why this place is so great. I’d go there if all they served was pb&j (but luckily they don’t!). LOVE THIS PLACE!!
The amazing food alone should bring you in. But, there's more. The mission of this restaurant is the real draw. They're helping at-risk youth learn invaluable skills. They're employing kids who no one else will, giving them a chance at life. They're providing that opportunity and helping hand that these kids need to get a jump start on life when most of society would look the other way. Keep up the great work! Wait...did I mention the food was amazing!
Wonderful Food and Great personal service.
This is a great cause and an awesome place and everyone involved is so earnest. Good things happen here, not the least of which is you will enjoy some really great food. Do not miss the desserts... We tried four of the five and they were amazing. Especially the warm cookie and ice cream, the creme brulee, and some kind of a delicious cream puff that I can't recall exact details about other than it was amazing.
I used to think that Capital Grille had the best steak tartare but Cafe Momentum put theirs to shame. The portions are huge and everything was very well seasoned. And their motto is eat, drink and change lives. Check out their website Tremendous experience!!
This was our first time and we loved everything about our experience. Service was fantastic and food was incredible. Love supporting a program that helps the youth of our community!
Great food and staff! We will be back! Fried chicken, mashed potatoes and collard greens were outstanding!
Smoked Fried Chicken was excellent, and dessert was fantastic - strawberry cake surprised us with how excellent it was.
Went on a Friday night, 2 couples, fist time.
Menu selections were varied and each party had something different.
Great food! Better than I expected. The atmosphere was perfect. The young people working there and what the whole thing represents just made everything else that much better!
A dinner at Cafe Momentum with friends was my birthday gift to my brother, John Alexander. He and his wife, Jennifer, had heard of the Cafe but had never been. Jim and Carol Mason joined us and the Cafe was a complete surprise to them. They had never heard of it. Everyone was delighted with their dinner and our waiter gathered 3 friends and sang "Happy Birthday" to my brother. I had seen the write up in the Dallas Morning News and had passed it on to John and Jennifer. Wish the whole group could have heard Chad Houser's talk to the Topics and Trends group a week later. He is an inspirational speaker.
We took our 7 and 10 year old granddaughters for dinner before the Opera. They cleaned their plates!
Always the best; best food, best service. So great the simplicity of the menu with each item a taste winner
The staff are great and the interns are the best part of the evening, a genuine experience.
Wonderful food, inspiring stories, great cause.
Most everything was wonderful! The carrot app was tasty but the carrots were almost raw. Fish was overall very good but would have benefited from less salt. The presentation of the fish was superb and it had a nice crust. Momentum salad was one of the best salads we've ever had. Service great and value amazing!
It was outstanding! Our server, Marquin, was very attentive.
We are fortunate to have Cafe Momentum in our city! I suggest the scallops and asparagus salad - delicious- but everyone around me cleaned their plates too! Don’t miss the opportunity to visit and revisit!
Wonderful - great food and I love what their mission is.
Amazing concept and supports so many good things. Fried chicken, biscuit and potatoes were delicious. Not usually a fan of collards, but these were good. Charcuterie board was beautiful, and I'm adventurous with food, but some of the flavors were either odd, or just didn't meld well. The sausage was amazing, though! Cookie skillet was delicious and coffee was excellent.
We were greeted promptly and with a smile. Our table was ready and well located in the restaurant which I appreciated. The service was very attentive. The food was amazing. I had a risotto that I would love to eat every day!
Great food, Great Service, Great Mission.
This place provides substance, meaning and relationship to both sides of the conversation. This statement will make sense once you have experienced dining at Momentum.
This would be a top level restaurant based on the food alone but when you factor in the mission and the impact they have on the community, this is an outstanding place.
