Beautiful foods! Gracious, calming ambiance! excellent service! Thank you!
We've eaten there several times before. Their menu has some unique choices and we've never been disappointed.
Our favorite place to eat in Fort Worth. Even though yesterday was super busy, due to a film showing, the staff hustled and came through as they always do.
The quality of the food is passable, but certainly nothing out of the ordinary. Our waiter was very pleasant, but also forgetful. We had to ask more than once for sweetener. When I asked for my meal to be served without potatoes, he graciously offered fruit instead. When my meal was served, there were potatoes on the plate, no fruit
A favorite place to dine, we love the unique space, menu, and terrific service!
Fresh food carefully prepared and served. Clancy was our server, and she was friendly and attentive. Excellent meal and pleasant experience.
Awful service, bland food and very loud party made talking impossible. Very disappointed.
My wife and I took a guest from St. Petersburg, Russia for lunch at Cafe Modern after visiting the Monet exhibition at the Kimbell Art Museum. We always enjoyed the setting and the ambiance. In the past, the food and service have been outstanding. On this occasion, however, we were terribly disappointed. The food was inferior and the service was slow. It took ages to get the bill, making me late for my first afternoon appointment. We were all wanting the Moroccan Chicken Salad, but were informed that it is no longer like it used to be when Dena Shaskan was the executive chef. My wife and our guest ordered pasta pomodoro. We were told the chicken and shrimp would be served cold. This would have been fine if the pasta had been fresh and properly prepared. Instead it all stuck together in a cold glam with no hint of olive oil or tomato sauce as stated on the menu. My tiny chicken dish was in a bland, flavorless sauce overpowered by salt. The bread basket for three persons contained three stale, poor tasting "bites." In short, it was a disaster. We will never go back.
Two people split an entre but wait staff split a different (th wrong entre).
Always great food and service! We each ordered a different kind of Eggs Benedict (Oxymoron) and shared so we each had a Caprese and a Lox Salmon. Both were delicious.
Cafe Modern is one of our special places when making the trek from Big D to Cowtown. We love it!
We went to see the Monet exhibit first and then had a wonderful meal at the modern. All was great.
Such a lovely spot. We always enjoy dining here.
When we drive to Fort Worth for some museum time, Café Modern is always our first choice for a meal. We have brought many friends over the years and all have the same reaction. Imaginative menu, delightful surroundings and an all round pleasant experience.
great brunch/lunch option... view exceptional and good value!
Very special space with superior food & service. Can’t be beat!
The service was atttentive, and the salads were great! It was a bit noisy, but the view more than made up for it. Overall, a very nice experience!
Our table was waiting for us upon our arrival. Eventually they took our drinks order, which arrived pretty in an appropriate amount of time. The food was quite good, but the service was not acceptable. Basically we had to ask for a waitress to take our order. Then we waited and waited. After 30 minutes the food got there. We had to ask again for our check. The cafe was about half full, so I can’t imagine why we had to wait so long. So I don’t know that I would recommend it and I won’t be returning.
They never recognized our anniversary, like no dessert or “welcome happy anniversary”.. and service was painfully slow! Other than that it was great!!
My husband and I came to enjoy dinner and a movie at Cafe Modern and the Magnolia Theater. This season’s menu offered great, unique dishes. I thoroughly enjoyed the Coq au Vin with Riesling and my husband liked his Tofu Salad. The portions were perfect. I had a substantial enough plate without having to lug a bunch home. The charcuterie board was excellent as well. This is one of our favorite venues for a meal, overlooking the water behind the museum, and it sparkled with the light rain this evening. Love having this option for dinner now.
I love the Cafe Modern. The food is always outstanding. Great place to have lunch. Beautiful location and building.
Beautiful setting, consistently excellent food and a menu that changes with the seasons. Wish I lived closer!
Traveled from Austin to see Monet exhibit. Love Cafe Modern and miss it now that we no longer live in DFW area.
The Cafe Modern was very enjoyable but loud. There was a nice variety of dishes on the menu which included some unusual choices. The Beet Burger was mushy rather than crisp but came with a nice salad and good garnishes. Other choices we could see looked very nicely presented and my guest enjoyed her large salmon salad. The restaurant was a great temperature and our server was very pleasant and helpful.
My friend's iced tea went completely dry and I had to get up to refill my own water glass.
Greeted and taken to our table. Best waitress and food was amazing
We try to make it to Ft. Worth at least twice a year. We never go unless we first have brunch at Cafe Modern. The service yesterday was one of the best experiences we’ve ever encountered. The cocktails are first rate, along with a wonderful wine list. The menu is not extensive, but offers something for everyone. And, don’t miss the scones. You’ll be asking for more.
The venue overlooks a large shallow pond, reflecting on the amazing architecture of the world-class museum. Most of the two-tops are around the perimeter of the circular room. Make sure you have reservations!
Very good view and ambience at window seat. Food was pretty good. Would recommend
Great food but don’t expect great service. The wait for food it is long as well
I am NOT a send back patron, but I had to send back my scallop order Twice because they were cold in the center. My husband's entree was only barely warm but not cool enough to send back. When I finally got my dinner, he had finished his and it was extremely uncomfortable to dine like this...their compensation was a "splash" of the wine I was drinking. At the very least, I felt they should have compt my order but they didn't even offer. I have often recommended CM to friends, but this is the last time we will be dining at Cafe Modern.
I ordered the beet burger which was really hard to eat. The service was quite slow, but efficient. We stopped off enroute to the Monet exhibit, so it was hany.
Love the view and the atmosphere. Food is always good.
We enjoy their brunch menu before going over to the Kimbell. My Berry Salad with chicken was excellent! We toasted with Mimosas and shared a dessert - great start to a lovely Saturday afternoon...
Got there just before the lunch rush 11:30. Immediate pleasant service, interesting menu selections and delicious food. I highly recommend.
Took a friend here for a birthday brunch and it was perfect! The service, food, and all around environment were wonderful!
Last hurrah before the kids go back to college. Everything was just right - food and wine were delicious. The way the room is situated with the reflecting pond surrounding the dining room was such a lovely touch as the sun went down. Even the chairs are super comfortable. This is an off the beaten path gem.
I took my fiancee here before I proposed. I told the manager and he gave us the best table and looked after us for anything we needed. He even brought us champagne afterwards. Amazing, helpful staff. Great food, beautiful location.
Food was not as good as in the past. Selection options were limited. Not sure I'd go back or recommend unless menu changed.
Good not great. Food was not hot out of the kitchen. Service felt slow. Nice experience just not great.
The salmon on my avocado toast was very fishy - not fresh!!! Very disappointing.
