Mom and Daughter special night out after touring Georgetown- great dining experience... the veal/spinach ravioli was divine!!!!
Outstanding food, wonderful service
We ordered the calamari, and it was burned to the point we couldn’t eat it. The server took it off our bill which was very nice of him. The food was overpriced for the quality in my opinion. I wouldn’t go back.
Well the brunch menu on your site is incorrect . They no longer offer the buffet +entree for $60. They now only have an a-la-Carte brunch menu.
Selections are limited. Our meal was good but again choices were limited.
My youngest daughter, my wife and I all have March BDays....and our oldest daughter lives in Arlington, VA. So we met this past weekend for dinner and quite luckily found Cafe Milano while viewing Georgetown restaurants on Open Table. We hit the jackpot. Everything was over-the-top excellent. Particularly the service....everyone was so attentive and we were never rushed. The ladies each had different pasta dishes that were amazing and I had a dinner special...black bass with lobster risotto...which was amazing. And the desserts with the birthday sparklers were a hit. Clearly one of the top spots in Georgetown. Hope to make it back during the summer...the outside dining looked very inviting.
Great food and ambiance.
Our server was quite arrogant. It was too loud to hear each other. The food was slightly above average. The wine recommendation was poor.
Exquisite food. The only complaint was our waiter who was over zealous and bothered us even during intimate moments. He came 8-10 times to bother us and then his squeaky voice really was irritating at that point....he needs training. We were only there for less than 90 min. The restaurant was quite empty so I don’t know why he bothered us so much and pushed us.
Food is outstanding, solid wine list with world-class people watching.
excellent services , the food was very good as always
We took out-of-town friends here and they loved the ambiance and the food. One had the veal, two had the veal raviolis and I had the pumpkin tortellini...all were great. The servers were very attentive and the atmosphere was great, but a little too noisy for easy conversation. Will definitely continue to take guests here or go for special occasions.
It was my second time in this restaurant this year, my first one was back in 2016. Being Russian i can say im very spoilt with high end cuisine in Moscow.
What is really good about the restaurant is the service, all staff is extremely attentive and polite, unfortnately I cant say that offered meals could have been named or tasted italian, I would say its a variation on the Italian cuisine.
In any case I enjoyed the visit
Interesting place to have dinner. Food is good but a little expensive for the quality.
Even we made a reservation, we waited for almost half an hour. Nobody offer us something, besides we were there to celebrate one birthday.
Overall, I would say it's OK but have patience!
Very friendly. Amazing knowledge of menu. Great food. Nice portions. Nice buzz for a Monday night.
Excellent as always. Food is superb and waiter was excellent.
Best meal I’ve had in a long time.
Overall the Food was very good. However, it was loud and a bit overpriced.
Pasta with lobster was very good! Family enjoyed evening !
I absolutely loved the four cheese pizza. Of course, it was too much, and I took one-half home. My husband, who is extremely discerning, thoroughly enjoyed it and ate it first for a snack and then lunch the following day. Truly a resounding endorsement!
Everything was fantastic as always. It was a beautiful day so I requested outdoor dining. I just wish I had been told there was construction going on nearby and guys measuring for a new awning right by our table. It was very disruptive to our lunch. The food as always was fantastic.
Cafe Milano was a delight to dine in. Having been to Milan, Italy before, I looked forward to having some of that great cuisine once again and I was not dissapointed. This place is famously known as a gem, and for good reason.
Very disappointed in the uneven service on Saturday night.
Being italian and cooking italian food, I was not satisfacted with the food quality . Too American! ( untasty, too fast Service, few fresh foods, and no latin care of the guests)
We were triying to eat european food and found, again, it adapted to american clients.
This tends toward a traditional Italian restaurant, not Italian-American. As such, the flavors are strong, and tend toward the savory/bitter. The olive oil was of a high quality and the bread was some of the better restaurant bread I've had in DC. The tiramisu was also tasty, and less bitter than some of the other things we ate, but the cappuccino was quite strong. Note that portion sizes are on the European side as well.
Great as always
The food’s always great, the service is always excellent and a lively crowd. My favorite place to dine in Georgetown!
The food and service are Wonderful. This lace never misses a beat. It’s a happening and exciting place to go. Lots of fun!!!!
10+ years ago this was a good restaurant. Now it should be retired. Noisy, wobbly table and chairs, mediocre service -- we had to share a bottle of olive oil with the couple sitting next to us -- pretty tasteless food with seemingly no attempt to make it look attractive. All housed in an unpleasant chaotic atmosphere. The opposite of intimate...more like a cafeteria or an airport restaurant. What else can I say?
The food was delicious and the service was great. The dining room was a bit too dimmed so I would only recommend more lighting.
Very lively seems to be a local crowd as everyone hugging everyone. We were sat at a table at a very busy corner, Food was lovely and service amazing. They will take good care of you. Wine list on the very spendy side. Two of us bill was almost $200.
Overrated Italian cuisine. Very accommodating in moving our reservation up by 2 hours. That is when the service turn poor. The waiter asked us 3 times in 5 minutes to get the food order in. Simply to turn the tables. The calamari was actually undercooked and had a glassine look and taste. I’m a serious cook & I know how to rapidly cook calamari. Ugh.... The veal Milanese and seafood black ink Pasta was excellent. The glass of $25 Cabernet was so poor; one could choke on it.
Overall, this restaurant is overrated and for the extremely poor service overpriced. We will never go back. Too many better DC restaurants to enjoy.
Excellent food, service and very nice environment!
Always love it.
Great places for dinner
Very lively and fun ambiance. Food good but portions a little small. Definitely a fun choice but maybe not a an all-star.
I thought the food was OK. Tomatoes on the Tomato & Mozzarella were not very fresh, but, the mozzarella was really good. The portion of the Risotto was smaller than I would have preferred. The Lemon & White Chocolate Cake needed more lemon zest.
The restaurant was pretty loud and difficult to hear your guests conversation even though we arrived early.
Overall not the best experience, but, with a 20-40 group of diners might be a lot of fun.
Cafe Milano has a great atmosphere and excellent service, but there food frankly isn’t worth the price tag. It was not bad, but there was limited wow factor and for a three figure meal, it left me wishing for more.
Our waiter and staff were excellent. Tasted wine and they read my face immediately and knew I needed a new bottle and another selection. The food was delish! Great suggestions from our waiter and it was a hit!
Had the special red snapper and shrimp. Unbelievably wonderful. I’m very particular about my red snapper. This was very light and flavorful.
My husband had the ravioli which was fantastic and filling for him. I was quite surprised myself.
Overall experience was warm, inviting and comforting with wait staff and food. Will definitely be back.
Be prepared for an attentive staff that is there to serve your every need with a mere polite glance in their direction.
They are very professional and anticipate your dinning needs and desires.
This level of service makes one feel as if you are a regular customer with great importance in town where "everyone is important " 😎
It was an enjoyable dining experience !
The wine list is very good but comes with a premium price.
Great ambience, great food — very “happening” DC insider spot.
