Great atmosphere. Great food and great service. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great meal at a reasonable price.
Terrible bartender. Did not know how to make a simple martini.
Fish was overcooked. Noisy.
Amazing as always. Carson, out waitress was outstanding. It’s wonderful food and a great place to people watch.
Great food and huge portions. Our waiter was fantastic! Plus the view was outstanding!
Outstanding the chef is the real deal
Fabulous!!! Best chicken parm that I have ever had. Great service, great food, great experience. We highly recommend this restaurant.
The Red Snapper dish was excellent and the Chicken Parmesan was a very large serving.
We went to Valentine’s 2018. The food was superb and the service outstanding. I’m not crazy about the restaurant in itself but the food and service made it all worth it. We’ll be back!
Went here for Valentine’s Day. They had a very expensive set menu that I thought would be well prepared in preparation for the holiday. Ordered our food and the waiter kept apologizing for how long it was taking. Two other tables next to us got seated about 20 minutes after us and got their food well before we did. Finally we asked to get our food to go because it was just crazy. We ended up getting our food handed to us about an hour and 20 minutes after ordering. I couldn’t tell you how the food was because it was cold by the time we got home and we didn’t even eat it. Poor display of readiness for a major holiday that we paid an exorbitant amount for.
Awesome! We spent New Year's Eve here and what a great experience. The place had just reopened from Irma and is really nice. The surf and turf, and snapper were delicious. The staff is amazing and a top quality wine list. Unfortunately the vibe was a little subdued because the reopening was not widely advertised. We were the only ones in a beach restaurant at midnight. Didn't matter though. The staff still handed out the party favors and we alł celebrated the new year with some bubbly. We will be back!
Excellent food and service. A very special place by the ocean.
Our waiter was great! Very knowledgeable about the food, preparation and wine suggestions. I was disappointed with the food. My meal was to come with Brussels sprouts and I got broccoli. I had the gripper special and it was ok. Our friends both ordered the pasta special that came with a lobster tail on top. Our waiter came out and said something about a mishap in preparation. So they only had 1 lobster tail and would split it between both plates. They did add some scallops. The place was not busy the night we were there and it was not late, so I do not understand why only 1 lobster tail if it is your special. The view is beautiful!
A wonderful indoors or Outdoors eating Place directly across from the beach at the Deerfield Pier
Great food, great service and super ocean view. Always a great time at Cafe Med.
We will be back
Always my go to place. They also have gluten-free pasta which is spaghetti instead of ziti which most restaurants Carry and I prefer the spaghetti .
We were seated at a lovely oceanfront table outside on the terrace and enjoyed a large Italian charcuterie plate and mussels marinara with a beautiful cool bottle of Italian Rosato. Just what we needed on a hot summer night.
My server, Ron was very knowledgeable about every dish and clearly enjoyed his work.
Also, had a great sense of humor.
Food was great, the location is perfect right on the beach but being on the beach a little bit noisy but definitely will return
We enjoy sitting inside, but still have view of the water.
Food is good and staff willing to accommodate with any issue.
Since we frequent this restaurant, we a familiar with happy hour etc.
Food and service medi
After dining here a week before, my husband selected Cafe Med for his birthday. The Executive Chef at this hotel restaurant resets the high bar serving Med/Italian cuisine utilizing the best of South Florida. Local fish is regularly on the menu, the steak is superb, (try NY Strip with Barolo wine sauce), cioppinno rich, with a little heat, filled with seafood and HUGE.. Great gelato from the Gelateria next door a great finish. Wine selection very nice; we selected a super tuscan which was not available, and the substitution was very nice. Service very solicitous, and the entire staff is welcoming. The live music (classical guitarist) was a great touch, and managed to remain in the background so that we didn't need to raise our voices to speak. Well done, we will be back!
Food was unsatisfactory. Service was good as our waiter did try his best in serving us.
Food was terrible especially for the price aside from the French toast which was good. Husbands steak and eggs came out well done and when we told the server she claimed she would get the manager. Came back and asked if the manager ever came by we said no and she dropped the check and said the best she could do on her own was 20 percent. We'll never go back.
Dinner as usual was wonderful. Tried the seafood resotto for first time. Great choice. Well prepared . Resotto was perfectly al dente. Others In my party ordered the salmon and another chicken scaparelli. Both dishes were loved. We will be back.
I love this place, we live near by, location is great, food consistent but would like to see more variety and maybe pizza.
Love their happy hour
Portions are good
Valet needs additional help
This was my third time and it has been very good each time. Consistency is very important to me. The last thing you want is to be disappointed, especially in front of guests. The menu is nice, not boring, and food is nicely prepared and presented very well. My only comment to the restaurant is that your Facebook description has you as a "breakfast and lunch" place??????
Yum! Slow service all night, possibly a problem in the kitchen, not sure. Server had great knowledge regarding preparation and wines very professional. 6 people dined, 4 had 5 star meals and 2 said the meals were good. Hand crafted is so overused usually just another concoction. This bartender is 100% on his game! Can't wait to go back for martinis.
Bringing additional ambiance to the spectacular ocean view was a great solo guitarist and singer, each song choice was played beautifully. I requested a round with a good view for a birthday and they honored the request!!! Thanks for a great evening!
Wonderful view & good service. After dinner you can walk on the beach
Hostess said she didn't have our Reservations, even though I showed her my confirmation on my phone from open table... she apologized but we had to wait at the bar for 1 and 1/2 hours for dinner!
I have been here many times in the past and usually pretty good. Not this time . . . Service was VERY slow. Waiter was friendly but hardly present especially for how long it took for the food to arrive. Entree came with two pieces of chicken. One was good, the other was more tendon and cartilage than chicken; couldn't cut or chew. No water refill, no coffee refill, no cheese or pepper service with entrees. Usually much better. Another experience like this and I won't be back!
I have been to CafeMed before and I've always enjoyed this restaurant, but this time, they were out of Gluten Free pasta so I ordered the Salmon. The Salmon was fine, it just wasn't anything out of the ordinary.
Great al fresco option in Deerfield Beach. Great food, good service and you can't beat the views of the Atlantic and people watching on the street. Lots of great options in Deerfield Beach and this is one of them.
We've been to Café Med several times and this year we picked it for Valentine's Day. We always ask for Phil who is one of the best waiters in South Florida. And for us, they made sure that Phil was our guy. Typically, he makes some suggestions. But on Valentine's Day, I was surprised about the Priced Fixed 4 course menu. No one ever mentioned it ahead of time. Fortunately there were plenty of choices to make our selections, but we hardly ever eat four courses in one sitting. Valentine's Day felt a little bit like New Year's Eve. They were completely booked and we had a great table and we had Phil. But tonight, the kitchen was slammed. The quality was superb, but the delay in the kitchen was unfortunate. I guess it happens and since we were so pleased with this restaurant in the past, we just patiently waited. If we didn't know the place, or understand the circumstances, we might have left and never return. But I will not make a reservation on a Peak Holiday again at this restaurant.
The Butternut Squash soup was delicious. We enjoyed the Lamb Chops and the Chilean Bass. The Key Lime Pie and Chocolate Lava Cake made all the delays go away.
Outstanding food and service.
We thought the food was delicious, but the service was so bad that I won't go back.
We had a beautiful table with a view of the ocean and perfect setting for people watching. As this is obviously a dog friendly outdoor seating there was one dog that snapped and almost bit over 15 people in the hour or so we were there and the dogs owner did nothing about it nor did the staff. But other than that which didnt affect our dinner everything was great.
Service was absolutely terrible. Waited 30 minutes for cocktails from the bar. Had to ask the manager to get the drinks for us. Then waited another 30 minutes after ordering our entrees for our server to come out and offer us coffee and dessert when we haven't even received our entrees yet! Food was brought out right away then. The food overall was very good. But it was hard to enjoy when our service was so terrible. We then asked to have one of our meals leftovers boxed up. Well they ended up throwing it away instead of boxing it. The server offered to have the kitchen make a half portion fresh for us to take home (should of offered a whole new order to be boxed but not my call). The We just said no we don't want it now. All that was done was our drinks were comped, which was only one beer and a virgin fruity drink (maybe $10 worth of drinks). Very disappointed and most likely will not return to this place.
