Walking into Matisse's gorgeous patio transports you to a different space and time. The staff welcomes you and you immediately feel cared for. The menu offers plenty of choices and every plate surprises with a combination of flavors, textures and colors that make every bite a perfect one. Chef Greg puts his heart into it and it shows!

We had a lovely evening we ate in the outside garden area which was comfortable and very nicely decorated. The wait staff was very attentive and super friendly. The meal was amazing and beautiful plated. Chef Greg has done a wonderful job transitioning from the previous owner. We will definitely be back.

We chose this restaurant to celebrate a milestone anniversary after a lot of research. Food looked delicious and reviews were great! Unfortunately we had a terrible dining experience. I will list the highlights and lowlights below. Highlights: 1. Decor is cute 2. Staff is polite and attentive 3. The grilled octopus and beet salad was delicious (from first course) Lowlights: 1. The 4 course prix fixe menu was way too much food. I see on their website now that a 3 course option is available on the day we were there but this was never offered to us. 2. We all picked the burger for the 3rd course. It was so incredibly salty that none of us could finish it. It came with polenta fry which was tasteless. 3. I picked the brownie for dessert which is a favorite dessert of mine. But this was dry AND extremely sweet. I only took 2 bites and could not eat any more. 4. Food is WAY overpriced for its location and quality. I am sad we picked this restaurant for a special anniversary meal when we are spoilt for choices here. Definitely do not recommend this restaurant.

The presentation of the food was great Every plate came out looking like a million bucks.. The overall taste of food was disappointing. The food portions were large and plentiful. But the flavor was good but not more than that. They use corse salt on several dishes and bit from the salt was overwhelming. It was a nice meal but nothing special

We used to frequent Cafe Matisse, but hadn’t been back since before the change in name/ ownership. The restaurant looks the same and the service is still quite good. Unfortunately, we found the food to be disappointing; Our family left talking about the fishy crudo and overall bland combinations. We didn’t feel the experience was close to the older version of the restaurant in terms of interesting and delicious offerings or value.

Celebrated my anniversary with my husband and I could not have been more satisfied. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by gracious hosts and the service continued to be outstanding throughout the night. All of the courses were perfectly timed and were delivered hot. I highly recommend the octopus offered on the first course - it was cooked to perfection! We dined by the garden during the afternoon and all of the lighting and ivy added to a very romantic atmosphere for the occasion. Will be coming back!

My visit to Matisse was a tale of two experiences. While the overall meal was good, I must admit I had hoped for a more elevated culinary journey. The dishes were solid, but perhaps lacked that 'wow' factor or unique flair I'd been looking forward to and hearing about from other diners. We started off with the octopus and burrata, short rib tacos and crab cakes (YUM), burger and duck (served a bit tepid and I was hoping it would be hotter and less dry), and finished with the cheesecake and creme brûlée. The service at Matisse was utterly phenomenal. It was, without a doubt, the highlight of the evening. Every staff member we encountered was not just attentive, but genuinely wonderful – anticipating our needs, offering helpful suggestions, and ensuring our comfort with a level of professionalism and warmth that is rarely seen. They truly set a gold standard for hospitality.
