Diners at the 50-seat restaurant catch glimpses of kitchen theater behind a hand-painted trompe l'oeil wall. Specialties include Pan Seared Grouper with Blue Crab, Seared Swordfish with Truffled Wild Mushroom Risottto, Shrimp and Grits, and Beef Tenderloin with a Root Vegetable Gratin.
Based on seasonal availability, Chefs Graham Dailey and Jon Mitchell and their talented team of chefs select the finest seafood, meats and produce to design the menu. They present innovative interpretations of classic dishes nightly. A cozy bar is available for drinks, light bites, dessert and coffee or full meals. Friends and hotel guests meet at the bar prior to dinner and before or after the theater.
Was a great dinner and good service. Was happy with the dinner overall
The food was amazing! We got the beef tenderloin and grouper. So good! They ran out of pecan pie which we heard was the best but we got the beignets and they were divine!
We enjoyed our meal at Marquesa. The food was very good as was the service. I would recommend it. There were several drunken and noisy guests that evening who were very loud and as a result we were unable to carry on a conversation.
The food was amazing and you have to get the key lime pie!
What a nice evening. Dinner was delicious starting with the carpaccio and a nice Cabernet. The crispy hogfish was outstanding and the Florida lobster was delicious and tender. Wrapped up the meal with beignets. The server was attentive and not only will I be back, I will recommend to others!
Un lugar auténtico con excelente comoda y coltelería de alto nivel
Outstanding food and service
One of the best in Key West. Friendly service and masterfully prepared cocktails and food - Marquesa is everything that you would expect from a fine dining experience. We were celebrating our anniversary and just surprised to find our reserved table decorated to the occasion. If you looking for a nice cozy restaurant with great food and amazing cocktails - That's the place. We will be Back!
The beignets were undercooked. My salad came with eggs when I requested no eggs. Otherwise, it was a good meal in a beautiful restaurant. The wine list was excellent.
The food at Café Marquesa was superb as was the service. Every time we even thought we needed something there was a server to help us! Each course was delicious! We will be back!
Great food. It's a small place, but it packs comfort zone class and friendly service.
We celebrated our anniversary and valentine’s here. Special menu for the evening was delicious and I found it to be a great value for what you got. Thank you for such a great dining experience.
Valentines limited menu but very tasty
Valentine’s Day, very festive atmosphere.
Amazing food and perfect service! We had the hog fish and it was the best fish I have ever had!
Impeccable service and masterfully prepared cocktails and food - Marquesa is everything that you would expect from a fine dining experience, just a few blocks from the chaos of Duval Street. We had the she-crab soup, beef carpaccio, hogfish, and grouper and all were excellent. Our best meal in Key West.
The hogfish dinner was outstanding in flavor and presentation! I appreciated the table decorations for my birthday!
All amazing! We had the beet salad, crispy hog fish, beef tenderloin and beignets for dessert. We also had grey goose martinis and they were perfect. The best meal we had in key west!!!
Service was excellent. Lobster was not my favorite dish & the chocolate dessert was not as advertised. We were disappointed.
We went to Cafe Marquesa last year and had a great dinner. This year,
I had a fried oyster and spinach salad which was delicious. The wife had a little gem salad and loved it. Entrees (Beef Tenderloin, Florida Lobster) were nicely prepared. The Key Lime tart, a deconstructed attempt at the classic dessert, was a miss, though, lacking tart key lime flavor. Overall, though, a great meal.
Blondie still the best mixologist, have always enjoyed food here, menu has been shortened but the food is extremely flavourful and we left with clean plates
It was a wonderful Birthday celebration and they went above and beyond to make it a special night for me.
This is a very attractive restaurant. The wait staff was pleasant and attentive.
The food was attractively plated, and the portions were generous.
The problem was that the food was mediocre. The grouper was overcooked, therefore tough, slightly burned.
The oysters were not fresh, tasting quite fishy, not sweet and briny.
The touted hog fish had numerous bones, the flavor again quite fishy and overcooked. It was expensive for sub-par cuisine.
Having been rated number one restaurant in Key West, I strenuously disagree.
Perhaps it was an off night, perhaps this is the standard.
I do not recommend this restaurant at this time.
Fantastic shrimp and grits starter, complemented by outstanding beef carpaccio. Sat at the bar, where Blondel took very good care of me!
Fabulous! This pretty well sums it up...
Great food excellent service however small place tight quarters
Unreal food and service!!! A MUST in Key West!!!
food was wonderful, staff very attentive. We decided to go back even though we only had 5 dinners in key west, 2 were here.
Fabulous food but very heavy. You leave feeling overstuffed. The handcrafted cocktails are to die for. If you don't have time for dinner, at least stop at the bar for a drink.
The food and service was excellent! The beet salad and snapper were delicious! The wine list was fantastic!
Best meal in all of Key West and one of the best I've had overall anywhere.
We absolutley loved Cafe Marquesa. From the moment we were greeted at the door until we left for the theatre, we were pampered by a wonderfully, caring staff. We liked it so much we stop in after our play for a night cap. We will be back for sure.
Everything was great except it was extremely loud. Could not carry on a conversation with the person across from me. Felt like I was in a bar rather than a 5 star restaurant
Mike, our server, is the best, arguably better than the food. Well, the food is off the charts good and Mike made it a 5 star night!
Quiet restaurant a few blocks off Duval. Tables were a little tight but reasonable. Food was very good! Customers appeared to be about 75% locals. Not a touristy place. We will be back.
Whenever we are in Key West, we dine at Café Marquesa. The service and food is always on top.
Even though we had Hog Snapper at a different restaurant the night before, we all ordered the same and was just as delicious and prepared perfectly. Thank you for remaining one of our favorite restaurants in Key West for the past 7 years.
The food is exceptional. Even the desserts. I had beignets and they were just as good as the ines in New Orleans. In my opinion, the best food in KW, at least right now.
Excellent meal with first class service!
I love the intimate feel of this 50-seat restaurant with a view into the kitchen area. I definitely would return anytime we visit Key West in the future. The shrimp and grits appetizer was amazing, and the crispy hog fish entree was unbelievable. The pre-meal cocktail, a finely crafted Manhattan, was superb. Everyone at our table absolutely loved every aspect of this wonderful meal.
