Took a friend for her Bday and it was really fantastic.
We were enjoying a girls night out and our waitress was so sweet! The drinks were delicious as well as the food!
Food was exceptionally poor quality. Soup was cool, risotto looked like burnt dried rice and had no taste. Chicken Kiev was tough. Dessert wasn’t offered. Very expensive meal. Could all this be why only two tables were occupied.
Me and my sister were celebrating my birthday with the free entree postcard that I received. The food was very and our server Edward was great! I will definitely go back and I will be asking for Edward.
I placed the reservation via the Internet. I received a call from the restaurant verifying my reservation and asking if I would like a table in the room with a music venue and I said yes. When I arrived I was told those tables were already reserved and we were placed in another location unable to enjoy the band . Poor customer service.
Our experience was very good. The food was good and the ambiance is excellent.
Went for Thanksgiving dinner. Both the meal & service were great. Management was on top of everything while personable and friendly. Reservation was honored in a very timely manner in a holiday.
The whole experience was top shelf all evening.
We've already made our reservation for Christmas night dinner.
Our waiter, Edward was very attentive, friendly and made it a nice experience. The filet mignon was very tender, but not a lot of flavor. We had a nice Thanksgiving dinner. The piano player made things very calm and enjoyable. Would return.
Been going there a long time. Found it to be consistently an excellent place to go for a special occasion.
what a find! a friend gave us a gift card and we went for my wife's birthday. beautiful setting. great service by Edward, really good food. we will be back!
Not up to prior standards. 1st the restaurant cancelled my reservations I had made for my mother’s 70th birthday, but she still wanted to go so we booked for a later date weeks later. Entrees for 3 of 4 of us came out barely warm. Then my mom’s crab cakes were largely filling with very little crab. Waiter also forget to bring out my dessert. Overall, food quality and service seem to have unfortunately gone downhill, perhaps because they are focused more on weddings and events.
Our Waiter, Edward was great. He was attentive and knowledgeable.
We are moving to the area in a few weeks so we wanted to try out this restaurant. It was amazing in every way. I had one of the best filets I've ever tasted and I have eaten at most of the "fancy" big city steakhouses. It was every bit as good but for a much more reasonable price. My husband had the lamb chops and loved them. We enjoyed the salad and bisque that we had also. Our server, TJ, and the bartender, Julie, were very personable and we enjoyed chatting with them both. We are are so excited to have found this place and will most definitely be back!
The food was poor. The temperature and taste were lacking. The server and manager were told about the salty cuisine or the cuisine that lacked in flavor also the majority of the food was lukewarm to cold temperatures. The taste of the meals under whelmed and disappointed. For $30 entrees, the experience didn't match the reviews or expectations.
This was our second time dining at Cafe Madison. The first time was absolutely exceptional, so we were very excited to try their Fall Restaurant Week! This quickly went downhill. We had 7:30pm reservations, and we were not seated until after 7:40pm. We were seated in a corner by the hostess who even remarked "I'm sorry, I know you're just kind've put in the corner". Took 25 minutes to get drinks and actually order our food. When we finally saw our waitress, Kim, she was great - very pleasant. Wrong soup was brought out, but quickly corrected. Food was very good, with exception of the 'crispy duck breast' which was not at all crispy. The manager did take our drinks off the bill which was very kind, however overall the entire experience was pretty disappointing.
Was Restaurant Week with the price-fix menu which i was unaware of since it wasn't listed on their website.
Meal was okay, seriously understaffed due Wedding in the next room according to the server. Live Music and atmosphere was very nice. Might give it another try, but probably not.
Food was good, it was restaurant week so menu was limited. Loved the appetizers and salad. Didnt care for the filet had a gamy flavor. Dessert was delicious.
We went for fall restaurant week. It was amazing . I had the kona crusted filet tips so tender and delicious. The pumpkin bisque was perfect. My dinner entree pecan crusted chicken was perfectly crusted and so moist and flavorful. My husband had the seafood pastry and lobster bisque and a veg pot pie were all just as great. Service was so attentive. The only complaint was the host stand was on the complete other side of the room from the front door. Very strange otherwise a perfect dinner.
They had a prefix menu with a variety of options. The food was very good!
Great food. All adult diners. So relaxing and we enjoyed the 2 piece combo music. Often go here for special occasions.
We went to celebrate my husband’s birthday. It was a great value because it was restaurant week. The menu was a bit limiting so I wished that they still allowed a few selections from the regular menu, but what we had was delicious. The service was fantastic.
It was a pleasant surprise to have a special menu. All of my dishes were delicious. I particularly enjoyed the bacon horseradish jam which was served with my petite filet. The berries on my creme brulee were perfect. The service was impeccable, and the owner introduced herself.
Always a pleasure dining here. Food and selection is very good. Service is outstanding. What we appreciate the most is the quiet setting.
`Good food, good service. Quiet on Thursday at 5pm which I prefer. It's nice to be able to talk in a conversational voice to your dinner partner. I would like a non-alcoholic beer selection. I prefer Beck;s I realize that this is a low demand item but perhaps "if you build it they will come"? Eva is delightful.
Pretty expensive and not a lot of food options.. probably not a good place for kids. The food was good though and there was beautiful live music being played throughout the night ! Cute place to go for a date night.
Great food and awesome music on the piano, violin and guitar. We will go again
Love Cafe Madison although I must say I was not that enthused by menu changes.
The food was delicious and delivered in a timely fashion. One of the best kept secrets in Burlington County.
The martini offerings were slow to arrive (seated at the bar) but creative and delicious. The waitress was very attentive and even checked about a GF request. The food was delicious. I really enjoyed the Tortilini and lobster. The lobster meat was in large chunks and cooked just right.
It was a great dinner that i enjoyed with my husband. We were celebrating our 3rd year Anniversary!
Not the same dinning experience as previous years. Food was overpriced for the quality. Shabby needs a good cleaning.
Cafe Madison has great ambiance. A musician was playing which gave a wonderful backdrop. Service was great, food tremendous. We want everyone to know what a gem this restaurant is as our only concern was that it was not packed with people. It is definitely a hidden gem.
It was my husband’s 50th Birthday! We celebrate our birthdays at Cafe Madison each year. This year funds were very low, but our Birthday Club reward was an absolute blessing!!! Our waitress, Eva, was great! We are grateful for the opportunity to dine at this facility!
After years of enjoying Café Madison and having special family celebrations here, my husband and I were extremely disappointed in the dramatic change of food quality, preparation and value. It was quite obvious to us that the changes in chef management are a far cry from the quality, presentation and excellence of this restaurant we have long enjoyed and recommended to many over the years. We both ordered the filet mignon which was satisfactorily cooked. However, the mashed potatoes and untrimmed green beans appeared more like a diner-served entrée rather than the quality upscale restaurant we had come to love. We are saddened and quite uncertain that we will be encouraged to return to Café Madison in the future.
Good food, good service and nice atmosphere. Had a drink at the bar first. Excellent bartender.
A little disappointing considering the upscale Madison restaurant. The food was very good which allowed me to overlook the sub par service considering the bartenders had to double as waitress's
Second visit to restaurant it was outstanding service and food were great try the rack of lamb and the crab cakes
Great steaks and the veal Milanese was excellent as well service is outstanding too
I found this restaurant on open table and we went here for a date. The tables are small and very close together but we got there at 530 so there weren't many people in the restaurant. The live music practiced for a few mins but was good once started. Our food was fantastic. We had the tuna app as well as a special app, I had the halibut and my husband had the steak. Everything was delicious and well worth the money. We had strawberry shortcake for dessert that was good but not as good as our apps/entrees. Definitely will be returning.
My mom loves this place and we often take her for her birthday or mother’s day...the food is pretty good and nice atmosphere!
