I love this place, yet the service can be inconsistent depending on who your server is for the night. Surprising for a pricey establishment. The bar staff are always superlative and often times I prefer sitting at the bar and eating. Cocktails are top nothch. I felt badly for the coat check on this snowy day as people were getting the wrong coats back. The food is always outstanding.
Impeccable service and amazing atmosphere. Would recommend to couples, girlfriends and families.
I had the soup of the day, a clam chowder, and the steak tartare. Both well made. Cafe Luxembourg is reliably good and the servers are attentive.
Always on point! Great chef! The wait staff are very attentive at listening and get the order right every time. Really appreciate that. Thank you.
Been here many times after Lincoln Center events. Always good, relatively expensive like all good NYC restaurants but not overpriced. Service very professional, even when crowded. Great atmosphere
Very good food, but not too much options for lunch.
Great date night at a NY classic!
Fantastic authentic French bistro. Food. Great service
Excellent, as always.
fantastic as always!. I haven't been there in years and it's still the place I love.
One of the great restaurants in NYC! Consistently good food, great service and atmosphere. The cheeseburger is justifiably famous and worth the visit on its own. But there is lots more besides on a classic bistro menu.
Octopus was good,not frdher. Spose
Good service. Familiar comfortable and homey
They accommodated our group of 7 adults and a baby with no issues.
Great in every way! As always in my experience.
I am here at least twice a month with my family. I’m amazed by the consistentincy of the great food and service.
Delightful at breakfast and a sure bet for meeting someone for a business breakfast.
Excellent food and service and in the morning, very discreet. As the days goes on, the liveliness increases, but the food is always good.
Manhattan's UWS has no shortage of bistros and delis, bit Café Luxembourg is a neighborhood classic ... a fun mix of bagels and croques madam. Always jumpin' at Sunday brunch, you won't have to wait too long to be seated or be pushed out at the other end. A young waitstaff is
attentive, quick and professional. Steak frites are generous: Lobster roll at $35 is a bit light on the lobster. Well-priced drinks.
Very cute restaurant. Loved our brunch - quick but unobtrusive service. Simple brunch menu to please all palates. All dishes were enjoyed by our party of five. Would definitely be back for dinner.
Always consistent, with new dish seasonal additions and surprises. This time Greengage plums with goat cheese. Amazing.
Everything works here like clockwork . No idea how they manage it. A model of fun and professionalism
Cafe Luxemburg is virtually the perfect restaurant for any meal. Breakfast was excellent and far better than coffee shops. Service is always great. Drinks are supreme. The whole package makes for a wonderful dining experience.
Server was pushy, then cold shoulder. Person who brought the food was very nice. Food was ok. Had a steak, the meat was tough and fatty. Barolo was ok.
Friends from Denmark were visiting and they absolutely enjoy the restaurant. Thank you Cafe Luxembourg for always being a charming place to dine on the upper west.
Always welcoming and charming. Like a little neighborhood slice of Paris. Good food/ lovely atmosphere and very, very popular! Well done all!
Very good food and very good service. Brunch is superior.
Cafe Luxembourg is a favorite of ours. We like the menu, food, service and ambiance. We always find it a cozy and special place and it seems that so many others share those feelings. The staff is exceptional.
Super friendly and courteous : really impressed.
Good quality food but too expensive for what it was
But I would definitely go back.
This place is consistently great. That's all. Just consistently great. Always a buzz, always a scene, but the service and attentiveness of the staff is first-rate food never disappoints. I am quite glad this restaurant is here for us to visit when we want to feel special. I have celebrated several birthdays, anniversaries and other significant events here and always felt like it was the capstone to a terrific celebration.
Waiter was grumpy but hostesses v pleasant. Food delish.
As always.. a great time. Great food and really great service.
Service was very good and food was good but servings are on the smaller size.
A NYC staple. Good bistro food... outstanding service. For many years a favorite place.
this has become a favorite of mine for a relaxing dinner or brunch with friends because the people are lovely, accommodating and excellent food.
Food good but felt a bit rushed. Management and waiter hovered in an "are you getting up" manner, not in a "can I get you something" manner. We were there less than 1 1/2 hours. Arrived at 5 PM and had a 7 PM curtain.
Great for a pre opera dinner( in our case) or post opera (also have been done before).
The wait staff was very attentive to our time limitations, and made the experience enjoyable.
Great service with excellent food - as expected. Nice to see my go-to favorites, the French onion soup and the steak tartare have maintained their quality over the years.
Brought family in from out of town and from the moment we walked in it was a warm, welcoming experience with well executed comfort food standards and a great wine list. Can't wait to come back.
