In 1983, Café Luxembourg opened its doors to become the quintessential neighborhood bistro of the Upper West Side. The dining room of this charming 90 seat restaurant glows in the warm light of the Jean Perzel fixtures and antique mirrors.

Located on 70th Street just west of Broadway, Café Luxembourg entertains New Yorkers and celebrities alike. The full service bar is home to many regulars. The lively buzz of the dining room is inviting and intimate. The frequency of dining customers is testament to the sincere efforts by the entire Café Luxembourg staff.

The menu changes seasonally as well as offering daily specials. The classic menu dishes maintain a level of cooking on par with the city’s best restaurants. Café Luxembourg offers beautifully prepared food with professional, yet unpretentious service at reasonable prices.

Service was horrible. Not very good garnishes- poor value . $18.00 country salad had little more than an egg and some frisée-.

This was our first meal at Cafe Luxembourg and we couldn’t have been more pleased. Great food, great service, and great ambience. I highly recommend the Three Naked Ladies cocktail - I had two. We look forward to dining at Cafe Luxembourg again.

I love this place!! Jamie is our favorite waiter and luckily, we were placed in his section. The Beef Bourgeon was spectacular!

Good French cuisine served in an interesting restaurant layout reminiscent of an American Diner. A little crowded on weekends but that is because the food is good.

I've been to Cafe Luxembourg many times, usually pre- Lincoln Center. never been disappointed. The staff are always accommodating, service always prompt, food always yummy. And they're used to concert goers, always get us out on time.

Attractive and convivial, the Cafe's lunch was just okay and a bit pricey. There aren't many good options in the area, so the Cafe is likely to remain busy, but I wish the food was better and the prices more reasonable.

Latest of over perhaps 20 meals at Cafe Lux, usually before Lincoln Center performances. We are big fans, and the restaurant has been delivering a consistently high dining experience for many years. Our latest trip was a little sub-par. The restaurant changed its computer system and lost our seating preference, which was a disappointment. Our waiter was willing but very inexperienced, generally not familiar with the menu or wine list. We both started with the octopus appetizer, which was very good. Then we had the salmon (very undercooked but no time to send back with the curtain looming) and the loup de mer (decent but not up to prior standards). The pre-theater prix fixe is a decent deal and we paid $84 pp, including coffee, 3 glasses of wine, tax and tip. We will return to Cafe Lux and trust that they will resume their reliably high standards.

I was mystified to get a report from you that I had "points" for

attending Cafe Lux. What are these for? How do I use them?

You don't explain anywhere. Why is that?
