Cafe Luxembourg Ratings and Reviews
the lunch menu is very interesting havin a variety of salads, mains, as well as a delicious omlet.the service and ambiance are always lovely, and its a very pleasant place for brunch.or dinner.the dessert this time wasnt very tasty-a cobbler that seemed more like cereal-a lot of granola instead of a struesel topping, and not enough fruit.
otherwise everything was delicious-
We happened to find Cafe Luxembourg while searching for an after theater stop. What a find! The appearance from sidewalk to inside entranced me to stay. Our waiter definitely knew his business. Cocktails were exquisite -- Manhattan, Applejack, and Moscow Mule. What a pleasure to find an omelette in the menu. It was very good. Just can't wait to visit again on our next trip to the city.
So good! Went before a show at the Beacon (just a few blocks away); I had the Luxemburger with greens, my husband had the fish and chips. Both were simple and EXCELLENT. Topped it off with coffees and a delicious, crispy, caramel bread pudding that we shared. With drinks, under $100! Rare in NYC...
Arrived for an early dinner and was seated promptly. Hostess brought water immediately but I did not see wait staff for a solid twenty minutes. The restaurant was relatively empty when I arrived but filled quickly. The two tables on either side of me did not experience the same service gap. Food was great but service lacking.
Café Luxembourg should be a case study at restaurant school on how to stay the same while constantly becoming slightly more fabulous. The French bistro decor, one of New York's first has rightly remained the same and the menu is a perfect balance of bistro favorites and newer tweaks, executed perfectly. Trés délicieux
Been living on the UWS for 25 years and had no idea this place was so vibrant...most UWS places are done by 10 pm, this place was still going strong...loved it, will be back very soon, also just two blocks from movies on 68th Street. Great service, food and ambience.
I made a reservation for 7 on the afternoon that I proposed to my partner in Central Park. The staff was VERY accommodating to our group and flexible with the reservation as it was a surprise and I wasn't sure exactly when we (the newly engaged couple) would arrive. Staff had bottles of Prosecco waiting at the table and were very attentive and classy throughout our 2+ hour stay. Thank you, Cafe Luxembourg! We will be returning for years to come!!
Café Lux is our favorite when we're going to Lincoln Center. The host/hostess are always welcoming (and the crowd coming in and going out in that small space would put me in a less-than-smiling mood!), the classics on the menu don't change and they are always dependently good, the wait staff is efficient and professional. Always a pleasure to dine here.
We loved the Luxembourg Cafe, our favorite from a weekend of wonderful food in NYC. We went after a Met performance for dinner for our anniversary.
Food, service and especially ambiance were great, and we would definitely return and recommend it to friends.

We were extremely late and had a play tonmake. They were beyond accommodating. Tgey made what could've been a disaster a very enjoyable evening. Food was excellent, loved the ambiance, and the staff is excellent. The tables are close together if I had to nitpick. Would absolutely go here again for another show.
