Cafe Luxembourg
Cafe Luxembourg has newly installed Merv13 filters, installed in all ducts. The filters trap 98% of airborne particles as small as .3 microns The air is not recycled but forced fresh air. For indoor diners we require a temperature check, guests must sign-in for contact tracing. Wearing masks is requested when not eating or drinking. Staff take a daily temperature check, are trained in safety protocols, wear masks and gloves. Managers oversee hourly sanitization of common areas. Hand sanitizer stations are available with easy access to staff and guests. Menus are single use and chairs are sanitized between guests. In the dining room, tables are socially distanced with dividers. Outdoor dining is available whenever possible. We provide awnings, electric and propane heaters and plexiglass dividers. Single use blankets are available. We’re doing everything we can to protect you. Thank you for your patronage!

Warm hospitality continues along with professional service in sub freezing temperatures. We are hoping the beef bourguignon shows up on the menu soon ! That wonderfully rich winter dish is needed for these cold months now that we are dining outdoors.

Their heaters over the outside tables didn't provide much heat. I think they are too high. Ask for some extra condiments and never received them
We had a virtual birthday party for a friend who couldn’t travel to New York. The staff and the patrons were absolutely amazing and got into the spirit! Café luxe never disappoints.

Food was great as always. Felt like a different heat source could have worked better. We both ate in our coats. NY is always expensive, but I think asking $6 for a piece of toast toes the line a bit. The Salmon Benedict was wonderful, however.
Cafe Luxembourg is one of the very, very few places where I feel completely safe dining outside. The ventilation is excellent; the wait staff is always masked and keep a good distance away unless putting your food on the table. The menu is not large, but the food is always excellent--and they restaurant is taking reservations again.
It was freezing and the heaters are very minimal at Luxembourg. The wait staff also seem bothered that they even have to serve you. My particular waiter had such a puss on and was rushing us even though the place wasn’t even full. Disappointing experience!
It was freezing at outdoor dining but they provided emergency blankets which was really nice!

They are doing a great job in the circumstances. Outdoor setting is very nice with a 3 sided wooden structure, raised flooring off the street and tables divided by plexiglass. The plexiglass could be larger - given we are relying on that to separate us from close neighboring tables. We were seated under a heater but not all tables have their own heater so be aware of that too. Food and service was great as usual. Looking forward to coming back when we can take a seat at the bar!

We love Cafe Luxembourg but we were disappointed to find that they took the omelet off the dinner menu. We also miss the salmon tartare.

They made it feel like New Year's eve! Super safe with table partitions and excellent heaters. Outdoor dining with background music and a mirrored ball to set the mood. Such professional service and delicious food.
Café Luxembourg has been consistently serving up the best food, drinks, ambiance, and service for decades and the pandemic hasn’t slowed them down. The outdoor dining is safe and comfortable and the heat lamps are a great addition in the cold weather.
Their outdoor seating under the circumstances is good.
They now take reservations too which is great.

A lovely outdoor Christmas Eve dinner at my favorite neighborhood haunt made spending this 2020 holiday alone bearable. Roast rack of lamb was wonderful and my espresso martini for dessert was perfect. The staff always makes me feel welcome and service is great. It’s not the bar, but the outdoor seating is still sociable while feeling safe. And warm.
Our favorite outdoor dining spot on the upper westside this winter. Safe outdoor dining with one side fully-opened to the fresh air and plexi partions between each table, attentive waitstaff, and great heaters overhead.

Best French bistro in NYC! I love bistro style French food - onion soup, mule frites, coq au vin, etc. This place does everything right. Cozy ambience, kind and attentive staff, and savory dishes with a nice selection of wines by the glass. French onion soup and half chicken was superb but be sure to leave room for dessert - the mini doughnuts are a must as well.
Years have passed since last dining at this venerable establishment where greats of music and opera once held court. It's grown a bit shabbier, but then it always had a lot of character - shabby elegance! Cuisine remains (even in Covid) very fine, service outstanding and friendly. I hope it's around for another 75+ years. I'll be back sooner than last time!
