Luxembourg is a long-time favorite and I eagerly await the day when it can reopen.
Love this place! Am going to miss goign to my local haunt during the shutdown.
Please support your local restaurant! Cafe Luxembourg has a great staff and always serves wonderful food.
Excellent food. Happy place!
In a word, Café Luxembourg was terrific. just the thing to ward off the COVID-19 blues. The maître d’hotel was able to honor our table request, so we were in a perfect location. The service was very good. There were interesting things on the specials menu, so we got to try a pan cooked halibut in a delicious green broth. I tried the special dessert, the passion fruit and raspberry pavlova, which is one of the best desserts I’ve had anywhere. We come here often and are never disappointed, be it at breakfast or dinner.
A lovely spot for dinner with a friend or a date.
We've dined there for 30+years. Last night's dinner may have been the best ever
Steak frites wonderful, as always. Meat perfectly done and fries delicious. I tried the endive salad for the first time, and it was crisp and refreshing. Coffee and the caramel infused mille feuille rounded out a wonderful post-concert meal.
We keep going back to this favorite. Food and service is consistently good. The prices not so much.
Always great food and service. We never feel rushed.
Should hsve some pretty fix lunch specials like they do for dinner.
Transports me to Paris! Excellent food. Still thinking about my shaved Brussels sprouts salad and salmon entre on top of root vegetable pure. And the piece if chocolate with the check was unlike anything ever ... need to find out what that is! Awesome. The got us in and out quickly before a concert.
I had a business lunch and I it was way to talk and be heard. The wait staff was very cordial and efficient. The food was good and the coffee was excellent .
We had a lovely luncheon to celebrate two friends birthdays. Service was most attentive, the food was excellent, and all of the special notations I had made in my online reservation were taken care of. This restaurant has been in the neighborhood for many years—deservedly so— while just about all the others have turned over multiple times. There are many good reasons for that. It’s a little too pricey for a casual weekday lunch, but worth every penny for special occasions.
A very pleasant lunch with family.
Been coming to Luxembourg for over 35 years. Never disappoints as a total package. Great vibe. Friendly, efficient service and food good to great. This time it was simply good. Presentation was a little prosaic.
It is a regular for us. Food and atmosphere are always good.
The best brunch spot in New York
The go to place for Sunday brunch.
Our waiter was polite but in the weeds as service items were a bit delayed.
Wonderful from the food to the atmosphere to the service
Always one of our faves in Lincoln Center area. Wait staff is exceptionally friendly.
Cafe Luxembourg is great, I am a regular. The burger is outstanding. Make sure to ask to add chevre to the greens. A+
Cafe Luxembourg went above and beyond to make my boyfriends special day amazing! It was my first time dining here and I can’t wait to go back :)
Always and forever a classic.
Grilled octopus is outstanding. Burger is also very tasty
Classic bistro, been there forever. Well chosen and tight wine list, excellent martini, and nice to dine alone or in a pair at the bar. I wish they still had hb eggs in a stand on that beautiful zinc bar but ‘tis a thing of the past...super moules frites, steak frites, truly tasty burger - salade lyonnaise, soups, and heartier fare like cassoulet and halibut. Perennial fave, close enough to Lincoln ctr for pre or post theater, when they also have total deal dinner prix fixe
For the most part, I dine here whenever I have business or pleasure on the upper West Side. I have never had a bad meal. Everything is consistent, atmosphere, staff, menu selection, etc... What's not to like? Cafe Lux has a very strong local patronage which should tell you everything you need to know. It is a gem of a restaurant and if you try it and don't enjoy it, then you should probably have your head examined.
Have loved Cafe Luxembourg for decades and so was shocked that the legendary Belgian Chocolate sundae has been “updated” with different sauce. PLEASE return to the perfect original!! Don’t worry. I’ll return too.
Always the place I take my friends to impress
Food good. Well rin
Going to Cafe Luxembourg is like visiting an old friend who has something new to show you. Long been a go to for our family on the West Side. We were especially enamored by the Beet Tartare. Raw shredded beets with a lovely spice reminiscent of Morocco. We really enjoyed the use of spice, cashew and orange in this dish. Tagine spiced lamb was a great way to extend the flavor profile. Steak frites always a favorite. Nice selection of wines by the glass to accompany our dinner.
We were celebrating our nephew’s 21st birthday, and the food was fabulous as always. The service was even better! They went above and beyond to make it a really special evening.
