It was wonderful. The size of our party increased unexpectedly, but the staff could not have been more accommodating. Bravo!
excellent always...service impeccable and of course menu
Great old New York vibe. (Though could benefit from a fresh paint job).
Gracious service. Delicious food.
This place is truly wonderful. From the moment my wife and I entered the restaurant, the hostess and other staff members greeted us. The hostess was aware of my special request on OpenTable, too. The waitress wished my wife a Happy Birthday as well. The food was excellent, and the wine selection was very good. I will definitely return to Cafe Luxembourg.
Classic NY restaurant always busy!
Awesome restaurant. Great service. We had to wait a bit but the staff was wonderful. The food is always good!!
Service and food was good. Was very loud for Sunday brunch. Will go for lunch next time.
Super good brunch! Interesting menu with different options- wonderful atmosphere with a semi-casual setting
We had only arrived in New York for the first time a couple of hours earlier and rolled up here to be greeted with smiles and great service. There was a real energy and buzz about the restaurant and the food was really good. The perfect way to start our New York adventure and definitely a place we would return to when we go back.
I have been here many times. The food is delicious. Great buzz. Always busy but you never feel rushed. Very service oriented. I just wish it was a tad quieter
Great atmosphere of an old time but up to date brasserie
Withstands the test of time. Always excellent service and reliable cuisine.
Very welcoming warm embiance great service and good food without pretension. We will definately come back.
Kieran and the other hosts are fantastic as is wait staff.
Came here with my husband and aunt for lunch during a NY vacation. Great, prompt service, and very yummy food. I had French onion soup and the other two each had a tuna burger. Wished I had been hungrier because the dessert menu looked delicious.
Outstanding service and great food. A real NYC vibe...!
Birthday but I❤️ this long standing neighborhood spot. 😎
A glorious brasserie, with seasonal updates and changing menus. I hesitate to write this review because I'd like to have the Lux all to myself. The service is prompt and friendly, but not rushed. The food is straightforward French fare -- delicious and attractive, but not embellished. The wine list complements the menu nicely and its offerings, while comprehensive, are not over-the-top. A most friendly, welcoming and tasty experience, every time we go.
This is one of the better places to eat in the West 70s, and quite crowded at lunchtime. I waited about 15-20 minutes with a reservation, but wasn't in a hurry, as my lunch companion hadn't arrived yet. The service was good. We both had tuna burgers which were quite good, as were the fries. It is a good spot for a lunch that is more upscale food wise than most other UWS places.
Always reliable for quality & service . In fact I think the food quality has only gone up !
Very lively, great food.
A bit too noisy for business lunch though...
Always love Cafe Luxembourg - great food, great service and fun for small groups. Celebrated my birthday and everything was super delicious.
Always enjoyable. My hamburgers are always the way I ask for it. Veggies are fresh. No complaints ever!
Very enjoyable...food and service...as usual!
Perfect to eat after Opera. Excellent steak tartare; mediocre omelette; very good French fries. Reasonable wine list
As always, the food was great, the service also. The sound level a bit high but the patrons all seem happy to be there so really no complaints about the enthusiasm.
Cafe Luxembourg just keeps getting better - always a perfect balance between comfortingly classic and temptingly inventive. Think Classic-French-Bistro-With-a-Twist
The moules frites were very tasty. Loved the broth!
Neighborhood classic that is always consistent and delicious.
Reliable and so pleasant.
Everything was great. Although, water was spilled on my table as someone was sitting down st the table next to me. The water flooded my plate, I was surprised the waiter did nit offer me a new dish,
Love this neighborhood gem,! Always cozy, great service, and with all the building around Lincoln Center, a tru treasure to us.
Service was poor . Food not as good as usual. Chicken was dry. Onion soup was as always very good.
Great food and amazing service!!!
Have been many times, but this was the only bad experience. The cut of meat for the steak frites was very poor. Thin and high fat. Maybe a steak frites I would expect at L'Express or a Marriott hotel, but not here. Also, even though it was 10:30pm on a Monday night, we were asked repeatedly to sign the check during a business dinner, even though we were clearly still working and there were 8 available tables. Cafe Cluny is still very strong (sister restaurant) but this restaurant seems struggling. One more experience like this and I would say you should not go here unless both people know it, because it does not impress the way it used to. Also, the waiter did not know what sauce was on the chicken without looking at the menu and was not familiar with their Chateauneuf-du-Pape, which is odd for a French place and pretty embarrassing in front of a client.
A wonderful, long-term attraction for the upper westside. Always the Best!
always a great place for brunch especially having the Ricotta pancakes-
I find the service terrific and everyone is so helpful especially finding me the back table by the window which is my favorite.
Wonderful brunch-fantastic service. We’ll be back!!
Always a fun time at our favorite neighborhood restaurant. Best wines by the glass, friendly but outstanding service, and they r good about getting you out for your curtain!
