Unfortunately, Covid has dampened the pleasures of dining out here. At Lurçat, in the name of Covid, there is no bread, candles, condiments, and we were seated in the drab middle room, due to mechanical issues elsewhere. While tables are distanced, the party seated next to us emanated a putrefying level of perfume - ugh. With the 20% service fee, I’ll be waiting awhile before returning.
Very good about my allergy!
We had an amazing dinner. Excellent service and Ben and Ross were great!
So happy to be able to once again dine at Lurcat. As always...it did not disappoint!
Always great food and service. Ambiance is superb and it is always a great experience
This very well may be the me of the best restaurants in the twin cities. It is not the cheapest place you’ll ever go. But everything is fantastic.
Christina was o it server; a completely delightful human! The entire team was in point with safety and service. We can’t eat in for awhile so PLEASE get take out for now. Much love!
Great place for a family birthday celebration. Although I must admit, my 11 and 14 year olds were the only young ones around.
We are quite familiar with Cafe Lurcat from many visits over the years. They did a great job of adjusting to the COVID regality by reducing the number of tables in dining rooms, limiting staff visiting your table to one person, and changing meal presentations to minimize contact duration between staff and visitors. Our meals were fantastic, and our server was amazing. It was rather cold in the dining room, but they had portable heaters set up. That made things more comfortable for my wife. They now have a 22% charge on your ticket for labor or tips or something. I'd rather see them increase the price of our meals. We still left what I thought was a generous tip because our server was excellent. We'll be back as soon as they reopen from this latest round of COVID shutdowns.
Excellent place. We had various small plates to try it out. The Apple & Cheese salad was recommended and it top notch.
Relaxing, romantic, clean, great food and great service.
Wonderful service and the food was sublime. Recommend the steak tartare.
I always enjoy time at Lurcat!! So glad to see them open . . . let's do everything we can to support them through the winter!!
Great food with great service--attentive without being over bearing. It's not a cheap place to eat, but it was a wonderful.
Wonderful cozy venue and attentive staff. Menu has a wide variety of options.
Good food, cool location, great date night
We wanted one last delicious patio meal before the weather changes, and this was the perfect spot - beautiful patio, delicious food, and yummy cocktails and mocktails. This is one of the only restaurants I’ve been to during COVID where the experience wasn’t compromised in comparison to pre-pandemic times. Our server, Michael, was genuinely friendly and professional, and we were so impressed by him that we asked to speak with a manager to convey the compliment. Ross was great and shared very honestly about how dedicated he and his chef are to preserving the integrity of the food and experience at Lurcat while maintaining the safety of the staff and guests. Very highly recommended - we can’t wait to return.
I feel this place is overrated. When you sign up for a dinning experience at that price you expect the food to stand up from other place, but it does not. I tried other restaurants at similar reviews and prices and they definitely give you the food experience you’re expecting (St. Genevieve and Spoon and Table). Nothing we tried was considered something we could not prepare at home or even bought it at a good grocery store. I had the vegetarian risotto, the flavor was neutral, the oyster mushrooms too salty and over cook and the other mushrooms were common. The dish has nothing special. My friend tried the risotto with chicken and he complained that the chicken was dried. Definitely overrated for the price. It seems to be a popular place, but I won’t personally will come back.
Our wait person Leah is terrific! The experience at Lurcat is always the best.
Very nice atmosphere, old building tall ceilings. A bit confused wich door to use.
Great food and wonderful customer service. Would of been nice if the would of talked to the loud table next to us.
Great idea of taking down the old drapes that hung in the bar. Awesome view of Loring Park.
Their burgers are amazing! Love this place!
Lurcat is always a great experience. It felt safe and the staff did everything to make our experience terrific.
We went for the sea bass, but they changed from sea bass to cod. We ordered the cod, but they had just sold out. Those things happen, so we ordered the sea scallops, but couldn't taste anything but the dark sauce they were drenched in. This appeared to be the same sauce put on the chicken dish. The side dish of risotto was very good.
Service was touch-and-go despite the restaurant being only 40% full. We had to go to the bar once for drinks after failing to catch the attention of a server for 10 minutes.
That said, I hope they survive the pandemic and Minneapolis violence (we even witnessed a near violent road rage incident in front of the restaurant). Good luck.
Amazing service and food. Everything was perfect as always!!!!!
I can’t rave about Cafe Lurcat enough. I dined during restaurant week (my second time as a guest) and truly wish I could dine there every day. The Apple, cheese and chive salad is impeccable. Our server, I wish I had caught her name, was incredibly kind and recommended the best wine and cocktails. The ambiance is perfect and I love being able to see the kitchen staff work their magic from my table. Such a great place to eat and enjoy the company of others. Bravo!
Went there fir restaurant week but also supplemented the menu with the octopus tonnato. Fabulous as usual. Covid protocol was outstanding.
Our waiter was excellent and we enjoyed the food. Will be going again
Still our favorite restaurant in the twin cities. So glad that they have been able to make it through all the lockdown. This is our second time back. Once for a birthday and once for restaurant week. Some of the staples have not made it back yet but the quality of the ingredients the preparation and the care are outstanding. The drinks are always great and the staff is super professional and personable.
Our server was amazing and very accommodating! She help me fine a great wine to go with dinner, which took a few tries and she was very friendly. The only downfall was they were insistent on wearing a mask, which I hate.
Great place - would definitely go again
Feels like a little slice of Paris in Minneapolis. Loved the menu and the ambiance. Will definitely be returning.
Great ambience but poor quality desserts. Good for a wine date night.
Everything about my first time at Cafe Lucrat was outstanding except for our Server... she did not greet us, give us any information on the meal options, etc. She was not friendly nor polite... however all other contact with Restaurant staff was exceptional
If I could give a 6 for service, I would!! We had Ken.
Went there for restaraunt week and absolutely loved it! The atmosphere was great. Service was excellent. We loved our server Mitch. The food was AMAZING! I got the salmon and my husband got a flat iron steak and they were phenomenal! We would definitely come back and recommend this place!!
We took advantage of restaurant week for our first time and it was truly magnificent. The building is gorgeous, the service was phenomenal and the food was delectable. It might’ve been our first visit but it won’t be our last!
Emma was an amazing waitress! Can’t wait to come back and request her once again.
Food is amazing as ever. Service is outstanding! Lucrat is all around fantastic!!
Amazing food & service! I would highly recommend for a nice night out with loved ones.
