Love Sunday night date nights at Cafe Lurcat! Such a great value for a wonderful meal!

New menu being introduced this week. A couple of favorites were missing but so many new dishes to try. Food is always prepared well and is tasty!

Gosh, we loved this experience. It is a spendy restaurant, but we were wowed by everything. My favorite was the Pavlova with wine soaked berries. It was sheer perfection. Our waiter was lovely. Next time we would probably aim for the happy hour/bar menu.

Everything about the night was exceptional. From the moment we walked in the door 45 minutes before our reservation, they promptly sat us, and we were greeted by a server who was not only extremely nice, but also knowledgeable regarding the restaurant and menu. Suggestions were spot on, the food was to die for. We had a couple apps/starters, 3 meals, and 2 desserts, and trying to choose the best would be like choosing your favorite child.

We were celebrating 75th and 70th birthday with family. The food all around was excellent especially the sea bass. We love the miso flavoring. Our survey was attentive even though he had a lot of tables. We appreciated the mini donuts with candles for the birthday celebration.

We had dinner at Cafe Lurcat before my son's confirmation at the Basilica. The prices are high for quick "grab a bite to eat" meal, but there aren't many options near the Basilica so we chose Cafe Lurcat in order to be close. We told the staff that we were a bit rushed and they were phenomenal with quick service both ordering and being ready to bring our bill when we were done. My teenager wanted a burger so they were also gracious about letting him order from the bar menu. The food were delicious. We had the sea bass, brussels sprouts, apple salad and crab cake. And the burgers and fries from the bar. :) My son said they were the best fries he'd ever had. I only regret that we were in a hurry and I would love to come back when we have time to really enjoy it.

The Sunday Date Night deal was a great value! I highly recommend it.

Entres & drinks were good but pricey. Sides were ok & a bit overpriced for just basic veggies. Bar area seemed more lively & bright than dining area. Will return for HH in bar or bar menu but probably not for dinner. Loretta was great for service.

The service was knowledgeable, friendly, and prompt. The food was excellent! We took advantage of the Easter dinner for two special so the value could not be better! Also the cinnamon doughnuts for desert are to die for! I would recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a charming quite date venue with excellent food.

The food, ambiance and service are outstanding but you pay for it. It’s a special occasion place for dining although the “ date night” special is a bargain.

This was for a special occasion: my birthday and Easter Sunday. We had to wait outside for a short while as they were cleaning up from an earlier setting? Then were treated so politely and attentively. And surprised me with a lovely chocolate birthday cake since it was also my birthday! What a lovely surprise.

Poor reception to start with host telling us to come back at our time because we were early vs telling us they would come get us at the bar when the table was r day. Food was rushed with no communication on how the brunch worked so started off with small portions for the entire table to serve ourselves. After first course, all of the food was delivered at once with not much room on the table. I understand the rush and nature of an Easter brunch but this was not done well. Food was fine but restaurant cleared out due to our late timing (only reservation time available) but it felt like we needed to leave as no one was left in our room. Trying to get coat out of coat check from more hosts who only seemed interested in the calls they were both on. Valet couldn’t figure out if someone was going to get the car. All in all, not worth going back again if service is going to be this poor.

I don’t write 5 star reviews very often. But this place was one of the better restaurants I’ve been to. The server was very knowledgeable about wines and gave great recommendations. Service was excellent and the sea bass was world class. Will definitely return next time I’m in Minneapolis.

Great place! Amazing fresh food.

Loved the looks of the bar as we entered. The dining room was very open and airy. Even though we didn't have a window seat, we had a great view of Loring Park. Service was top notch. Menu selections were nice and varied. 3 of us had a crab and shrimp pasta dish and cleaned our plates. The 4th had a tenderloin and enjoyed that as well. The apple slaw salad was a nice change of pace. One friend had the liver pate and raved about it. Not being a liver person, I did not try it. Presentation from the servers was fun. When the food came out from the kitchen, 4 servers came with one for each of us. It made it look well rehearsed and special.

John was our server, he was sweet, funny and really made the experience exceptional!

We had dinner on Sunday evening after evening mass at Basilica. We had the Date Night Special 3 picks for a couple for $50. It was a very nice evening. Have told Friends about it and will do it again.

They accommodated a special request to sit by a window which was very nice across from the park. Of the meals, the Crab Cake Appetizer was amazing as well as the Salmon. Our food did take a long time to come out, but the manager made it right by covering our tab without any complaining from us, so certainly kept us happy.

This is the 2nd time we've eaten here. The first time was mediocre so we thought we should give it one more shot. We did - and now we know for sure we will not be going back. Service was very good - and that's the only thing we can say positive. The remainder was horrible - especially the food.

The food was magnificent. Our server Ken was a real highlight of our night as well. Overall, this is a must try restaurant.

We had a great business dinner at Cafe Lurcat. The food was excellent and the service was perfect. They anticipated business conversations and were appropriately on hand when needed. All around great experience!

Everyone raves about the sea bass. The noise level, spacing, and ambience are great for tables of 6 or more. All food items were fantastic. Only issue was some inconsistency with the cocktails. In the end, his is a great dinner spot.

Best date night dinner around. Amazing service, best food I have ever had. Definitely will be back.

Fabulous experience and a great value. We came here on a Sunday with another couple and we found out that they have a date night special in Sundays. It was an outstanding value and the portions were quite large. We’ll definitely come back.

We love bar Lurcat. But I will say that the service was very slow that evening which was surprising based on the fact the restaurant was not that busy.

Great meal at Café Lurcat for our anniversary. The sea bass was excellent and my wife loved the pork tenderloin.

Enjoyed the beef tartare, Brie/apple salad, and steaks. Very well done meal, wonderful food. The steaks melted in your mouth! Overall wonderful experience!!

There's just nothing to complain about at bar lurcat, the food is perfect and inventive and special and the service is always excellent.
