I had the chicken, got a tiny thigh for 30+ dollars. There was no Chardonnay under $65. My husband got pasta when he ordered salmon. They packed up the salmon and it will most likely die a sad refrigerator death.
Loved being outside though. The server was very pleasant.
Beautiful setting. Very gracious and pleasant wait staff. Good, nice food and wine. Wonderful mini donuts
Great birthday meal.
Our server, Cole, was outstanding!! Super solicitous and helpful.
Wonderful preparation of the sea bass and salmon. The cauliflower was incredible. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable.
Delicious food, staff was knowledgeable and attentive and the entire experience was enjoyable.
Korean bbq salmon is a blissful dish
Props to the chef
Scallops are amazing wish it’s prepped without pork product in the same dish.
Thank you for the great experience.
The only small issue we had was our table would wobble so it got a bit annoying. We had to keep our feet on it so it doesn’t wobble. Everything else was fabulous!
I can not say a negative thing about thus place. The waiter Noah was delightful, attentive friendly and helpful. We arrived early on Friday night at 5:15. It was a gorgeous, warm summer evening in Minneapolis across from Loring Park. We started with their featured drinks. They were refreshing and delicious. We then ordered a small plate of sliced warm focaccia bread with whipped butter and vinegar and balsamic dressing on the side. Noah was so attentive with the timing of our drinks, appetizers and entrees that our evening was easy, relaxing, fun and magical. The entrees were so delicious. I had the salmon with the ginger sauce on the side and it melted in my mouth. My partner had the beef filet which was tasty, tender and done to perfection! We shared the baby potatoes and roasted cauliflower. Both sides were fabulous. The potatoes were sweet and creamy inside and the cauliflower was roasted to a deep golden brown with clarified butter. Yum! Last but not least, we shared the vanilla Bundt cake with vanilla mousse on top with blackberries in the middle and candied pistachios sprinkled on top. Our glasses of Ice water were never empty. Our two hour dining experience was pure bliss. We absolutely will be returning.
this is one of the best Mpls has to offer. Consistently delicious. Main dining room was closed due to lack of staff which has been a ubiquitous problem this summer for all service industries. We loved sitting in the bar area however, at a great table by the windows overlooking the great outdoor patio and watching the beautiful sunset as we ate. The service was wonderful as always. Like most restaurants in the country today Lurcat has faced many obstacles to staying open and relevant. They have succeeded on both counts. My Korean BBQ Salmon was cooked to perfection. The miso black Cod was also amazing. The one comment we had from our California guests was the pricing was higher than similar restaurants in Los Angeles. Prices all over Twin Cities have been raised. This is no exception. Support local businesses and eat at Cafe Lurcat.
We had a really good experience last night. The food was delicious. Everyone loved the apple salad. One thought, would be nice to get bread, since the food is expensive, and that should be automatic.
Had guests from Chicago and took them to Lurcat for restaurant week. Absolutely enjoyed the food and dining experience.
We liked the place, but the atmosphere was kind of cold at the room in front of the show kitchen where we were seated.
Amazing and delicious food! Definitely plan to go again and recommend to others.
I really feel like this place has changed since opening back up. I miss the old Lurcat.
Cafe Lurcat was amazing. Everything about it. Wonderfully creative menu and fabulous wait staff.
It was lovely!
Loved the ambiance. Beautiful building and location. Chef made a special accommodation on our Amish chicken plate and substituted the croquette for zucchini noodles. We are so grateful keto diets are welcome here.
Excellent food and service
We love the place and were glad to get back for a happy hour post close down. The food and service was, as always, very good!! The issue is that you used to have a very attractive happy hour reduced price menu and drinks - now all gone!! With each of us having two drinks and some apps - bill was $145.00 - just over the top - can't and won't do that again. Part of this was the 22% service charge - most of which does not go to our server -not good and I bet you have or will loose many of the great staff you have. I want to tip my server! You need to figure out how to better compensate the back of the house staff - all of which are important - but current approach is not working well.
So bottom line, no happy hour specials, very expensive apps and plates, 22% fee, etc. We will unfortunately, not be back - very sad but that is the fact!
Seems silly to rate every aspect of Lurcat 5 stars, I tried to find one area I could rate 4 stars so it'd be believable, but am unable. Consistency across the board, I don't know how they do it, from friendly phone to warm greeting at the door, to delish cocktails, superior waitstaff, perfectly timed courses, attentive but not lurking water/busing service, gorgeous ambience and oh, the food. Everything I've ever had at Lurcat was out of the park. There, I said it. Fini.
Great place for a meet up to catch up
Fantastic all around. Great patio area!
Wine by the glass very limited and rather low end. Otherwise a truly great place for a special dinner
We had a lovely dinner outside at Cafe Lurcat. It has been a long time since we last were here, but it lived up to every expectation. The food was better than ever--especially the miso black cod! We took both my elderly parents and out 12 year old son and everyone enjoyed what they had as well as the evening overall.
One of the greatest restaurants in Minneapolis. The miso sea bass is gone but the miso black cod is every bit as good.
Very nice atmosphere. Enjoyed the quality of the food. Service was supreme.
Wonderful service, wonderful food! Celebrated a birthday here and would absolutely do it again!
Everything on the menu will taste exceptionally wonderful! It is one of my favorite restaurants ever , food, ambiance , service, absolutely phenomenal! This time we had the octopus and fried rice for appetizers, salmon and beef for entrees, cocktails were great, the fries and mini doughnuts are a must. Beautiful restaurant and first class service and atmosphere!
So nice to be back. Food and service are as good as ever.
We celebrated our 41st wedding anniversary! Exceptional experience - great food, great ambiance, great service. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly! Thank you!
The fish entrees were mediocre. Black cod very soft with weak structure. Salmon overcooked and dry. Cauliflower was ordinary.
Steak tartar was excellent.
Great to be back to Lurcat. The food is fabulous - love the Miso Black Cod. Drinks are well done and good size. Happy to see the outdoor courtyard. Sorry to see how poorly people dress
The restaurant was not like it was pre pandemic. The menu was very limited and food quality was just ok. They have now added a 22% service charge to apparently help their employees. Our server gave us donuts for dessert, saying they were complimentary, but then charged us for them! We pointed this out and she removed the charge saying it was a mistake. Really?!
We went early for dinner. Seated indoors, by window. Food and service were great. Noise levels increased as more people got in, my only criticism. We were shouting by the end. Price reflects the quality of food. Risotto, chicken and fish were all great. Crab small plate fantastic!
Have been here many times and always been very satisfied. It was a different story last night. Food service was very very slow. Waiter was unremarkable in his attentiveness. I am sad to say I will have to think really hard about returning to a once favorite spot.
Beautiful location with thoughtful service. Food was outstanding as usual, as were the drinks.
