As always I live Cafe Lucrat!! If you haven’t tried it... GO!

I found the entire dining experience to be extremely enjoyable. The food is delectable and waitstaff are professional & attentive. The spacing between tables allows for conversation without needing to raise one’s voice.

I went for restaurant week and the dining experience was fabulous as usual. I like the fact that their restaurant week menu gives you choices for the 3 course dinner. The pork chop entree was sublime.

We ate here to celebrate my 50th birthday. Cafe Lurcat is one of my favorite restaurants and I have been coming here since it was the Loring Bar/Cafe. Everything was great except there was no recognition of my birthday. It seemed strange as I had noted it in the reservation comments.

As usual, my favorite Twin Cities restaurant did not disappoint. My first dinner out since last March so was highly anticipated. We were celebrating a belated birthday.

I did not have an issue with the service charge being automatically charged to our bill, HOWEVER, when the tip is guaranteed, I felt that the service and friendly atmosphere was definitely lacking.

The host was most welcoming and acknowledged the fact that a birthday was being celebrated and did provide the requested window table. There was no acknowledgement of the occasion at the table - once again those little things are important to your clients and definitely usually a part of your quality service and atmosphere.

The meal was exquisite and can’t wait to return again soon....

We went during Restaurant Week and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and cocktails! We will be back!

The wait staff and the food were very very good. It was quiet also.

This is a go-to spot for special events. You can count on a flawless execution and a great experience.

Drinks did not have much taste. Service was excellent. Pork chop was dry, recommend you order it on more moderate rare side.

Came for restaurant week. Food and service was good, however when the bill came they had added a 21% covid surcharge to the bill. When we asked the waiter, he said it goes to all of the staff to be split equally. So we ended up tipping our server more money since the surcharge didn't go directly to him. I have never seen a covid surcharge that high. I will NEVER go there again!

Lurcat is one of my favorite restaurants in Minneapolis. The food is amazing, the Loring park views are fun and the vibe is super cool.

Couldn't have asked for better! We had a great Restaurant Week experience. Lurcat is doing everything right during COVID (and their food and service is outstanding, to boot). We enjoyed featured cocktails, well curated wine offerings and great menu options. Thanks for making our re-entry to the Mpls food scene so tasty and comfortable!

This was my second time at the Lurcat and I was very impressed. The staff was amazing and so accommodating. Our waiter was patient with us and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was perfect as well! There was nothing to complain about. I’ll definitely be back again!

The food and service never disappoint at Cafe Lurcat! We had a wonderful Restaurant Week dinner....

We made a reservation for restaurant week for 745 on a Tuesday. We didn’t sit at our table until 815pm... what was the point of a timed reservation? I had to ask for our meal to be rushed due to other engagements or I don’t think we would have started to eat until close to 9pm. I love you cafe lurcat but wow was service bad this night. I get we are all coming out of quarantine but restaurants have been open for a bit and restaurant week is always busy... we almost just walked out.

The quality of the food and the level of service are enjoyable. The French inspiration offers a distinct set of tastes. A bit more French-specific details could be added, such as included baskets of French bread, and a more diverse choice of wines (AOCs and VDQS for example). Additional menu items may also expand the level of immersion.

I am impressed every time we dine at Lurcat. Fabulous food, sensible safety precautions, excellent service, and beautiful ambiance. Can't wait to go back.

Overpriced

Doing a great job while implementing good Covid related measures. Would certainly go back. We had fantastic service.

Great ambiance. I had the BBQ salmon: great texture, taste, and presentation. My wife had the cod, which was outstanding taste, texture, and presentation. The apple, cheese and chive salad was also fantastic. They gave us a free desert for our anniversary. They were cinnamon doughnuts, which were fantastic, but they didn't contribute to the romantic vibe I was going for. We will definitely visit again.

Had an amazing Valentine's day dinner at Café Lurcat. Our server Ken was charming, helpful, and fun. Ken also made some excellent drink suggestions. They put on 90's romance songs (Kiss from a Rose, Boyz to Men, etc.) which was a ton of fun for a couple of millennials. The food is amazing!!! The Chef came out to talk with us twice and made us the most delicious desserts. That really made the night special. Truly the best restaurant in all of Minneapolis. It's pricey, but totally worth it.

Ok food for the price. I have try several times but have had same experience, I thought maybe since it was a special menu it would be better but just ok food, very well prepared and good quality but not at pair of other restaurants at the same price range or cheaper

Valentine’s date

I took my Girlfriend here for Valentine’s Day. The ambiance was very nice and a very romantic restaurant. The service was excellent!! The food experience is amazing! This was a magnificent experience! I will definitely be dining here again!

Been going here for years. Great spot. Get it’s covid time but.
Dirty windows. Dirty drum lights full of debris. Ratty carpets. Generally looking very tired. And long standing issue with exhaust in main dining room.
Going at some point D’amico clan spruces this great place up.

it was so cold that we had to keep our winter puffers on during the whole time. we asked for the temperature to be turned up, but the waiter said that nothing could be done about it. it was also extremely dark, and we could barely see our food. we asked for a candle or some more light, and the waiter again said that nothing could be done about the darkness. we asked for bread, but the waiter said that they weren’t serving any bread due to the pandemic. the food was delicious, but the atmosphere was seriously subpar for a supposedly fine dining existence!

We had not been in the dining room since Covid hit. Although it was 10 below zero the room was warm and it was encouraging to see so many people out celebrating their valentines. Lurcat has done a great job separating tables making it feel very safe. Of course the food was fantastic, the service excellent and we had a wonderful evening

To say we were looking forward to our Feb. 12 Friday pre-Valentine’s dinner with my sister and husband is an understatement. We arrived 10 min early to join them at the bar. When checking in we were discouraged to join our guests at the bar “ because they were keeping on a tight schedule” and we needed to be at our table in 7 min. Fine. We didn’t order at the bar. We sat down at our table and waited some time before our busy waiter appeared. Food was great! Service was fine. It was -17 outside and the room as cold. Our feet froze. We put our coats over our shoulders. 22% tip was part of our $700 bill, no one sat at our table after us. A different greeting and letting us order and enjoy the bar for 20 entire min would have set a very different tone. Seemed uptight and a bit snobby.
Too bad as it’s our go to restaurant. Oh well.
