Cafe La Buca
Ben and his staff are #1. This is by far the best Italian restaurant in the south Florida region. You are missing out if you don't regular visit Cafe La Buca!
We went to this restaurant last night for my birthday. We had been there before so we were looking forward to a nice evening. There were four of us. From the time we walked into the restaurant until we left we had to yell to each other to be heard over the birthday party that consisted of 20 people or so. We believe it might have been the owners wife. They should have closed the restaurant for the evening instead of allowing outsiders in. The meatball appetizer was cold and the entrees were so-so. The chef was obviously to busy with the large party to worry about other guests. We yelled for one of the waiters 4 times before we could get their attention for something that we wanted. Definitely not the birthday dinner I expected or deserved from this restaurant.
Excellent Food and service. As good as any upscale restaurant.
Food and wine were excellent.
A true find. Food is fresh, delicious, plentiful. Very friendly service - can be hectic and terribly noisy at times. Can’t wait to go back!!
The best pizza on the planet and steak too! Fabulous wine selections, pasta, Italian specialties! La Bucca has it all along with great service and dessert! Exceptional!!
Fantastic fare and great service.
Love everything about this restaurant
Wonderful family Italian restaurant - no menus - they just tell you what they have that night. A little annoying if you are wondering about the bill but food is excellent and it's a very friendly atmosphere.
Always fresh. Always on point. Had a lovely night and will do it again soon.
It’s so good I’d like to keep this place a secret.
Outstanding dinner once again. Been there several times with different groups of friends, and we've all been thoroughly impressed.
As we usually do, we just have the owner, Ben, cook us up whatever he suggests for that evening. Last night we had everything from meatballs, the egg plan to five different pastas, bone in veal, fresh fish, and an outrageous dessert that he made for us.
Look forward to going back there, but this time with my poker buddies soon......
Small but very friendly with other patrons. kept looking at all the dishes coming out of the kitchen trying to make up our mind as what to order next
Always the best meal in the area, forget the high end steak house chains , this is the best Italian restaurant in Florida. ❤
Delicious- cramped quarters - but, who cares? Always have a wonderful time. The menu is filled with scrumptious choices. Never had a bad meal!!
Amazing place. Food was fabulous. I wish they were in the Boston area so I could become a regular. We will be back soon.
I cannot stop raving about your restaurant. The pizza was a gourmet delight like the show Billions! The steak and pasta were the very best! Loved the wine. Five stars!!! Joy Marks
Over the years I have heard some good things about Cafe La Buca so I wanted to try it. The restaurant is very over priced for the quality and atmosphere. First there is no menu or price list so you go into it blind, not 5-star as far as the table setting, like paper napkins and not even a piece of bread. Server did not indicate that the appetizers might be large enough to share, we brought half of two of them home. Ordered veal chop and although tasty and a nice cut they split it in half making it overdone for someone who prefers medium rare, which they never asked. When I got the bill I had to clean my glasses, it was exorbitant and more than many fine restaurants in the area......so not worth it.
I could not recommend this restaurant.
Small little gem of a find.
Wwe come here often even though it’s a 35+ minute drive. Food is homemade, always delicious! Servers are pleasant, helpful and not pushy. You can bring, and almost everyone does, their own wine. No corkage charge! Not fancy, neighborhood restaurant ambience. Try it!
Second time here. the food was outstanding. we had 6 people and from the appetizers to desert everyones meal was wonderful
Great food as always !
Excellent service. Excellent food. Perfect for any occasion. Can’t wait to go back.
The only reason I did not give Café La Buca 5 stars in all categories was due to the ambience. Paper napkin holders on formica tables with patio chairs don't equate to a 5 star restaurant with 5 star prices. The food was excellent....eggplant caprese; octopus with salad, (a bit overdressed); pasta Bolognese; lamb lollypops were all top notch. Even though they do offer wine, we brought our own as their selection is limited/average. Definitely going back again!
Thought it was a small pizza joint until we got inside and realized what it was all about. It’s a hidden treasure
New owners but the food was outstanding. pasta"s were homemade and wonderful.
This place is a hidden secret off the beaten path. Everyone is great there!
Delicious! Nothing more needs to be said.
Best restaurant!!!! Hidden treasure! Good spectacular!
One of the finest meals I've had and I regularly eat at fine Italian restaurants in Boston and Providence
Pasta with mushrooms and truffle oil was better than that I've had in Piemonte
Grilled octups. A great app choice but eggplant
was outstanding also
No true menu as options change nightly and a little pricey but if you love Italian food this is a must stop
Only a dozen tables and 2 seating s so would reserve
Had a stuffed veal chop( below ) that was outstanding; my wife had a filet with Gorgonzola sauce that wax also great!
Food is homemade and always delicious. Staff is friendly; they don’t rush you. No charge to bring your own wine. Almost everybody in the restaurant brings their own! Not cheap but always great!
This place is always great.
It’s not on the cheap side, but you get what you pay for.
It was recommended by a friend. From start to finish everything was excellent. Will definitely be back
Everyone is friendly. You talk to neighbors. Ben sits and talks to you. Always wonderful food.
Our second visit within two weeks. Our first recent visit was great. The quality of the food is so deceptive for a storefront restaurant in a strip mall. There is no menu, but your server lets you know the daily “fare”, starter, pasta, main and desert. Your server help you determine how much to order of each selection. The food is served family style. When you finish your first bite, you’re hooked. You immediately realize this food is special. This is not a romantic date night restaurant, but for people who both love and appreciate really good food and the decor is unimportant.
What a find! The food is fabulous. You are offered what the chef makes that day. Not fancy but great.
Excellent as always
No menu/prices. Your server tells you what’s available that evening. We split two appetizers (stuffed meatballs and crispy eggplant caprese) and one portion of pasta (gnocchi bolognese) plus one glass of wine and one Diet Coke. Water not complimentary, nor bread. $90.00. Very tasty and well-prepared food. But too much money for amount of food and setting setting (pizza shop next door to Publix).
The food was out of this world! The meat dishes are a little pricey but delicious !!! I can’t wait to go back!
