I owe it to Cafe Josie to congratulate them on an amazing dining experience! The one price choose the small plates you want and eat the most divine food - totally works for me. Every dish we tried was delicious and the service was friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this place for a group outing so you can try all the dishes!

Food was delicious. We did "the experience" which was $35 for an unlimited tasting menu, so a good value. We sat on the patio which was lovely. Good service too.

We have eaten at Cafe Josie's on a number of occasions, and always enjoy the creativity of the food,
and the service is always good. On this particular visit, the room we ate in was very cold, and we asked
if the room could be warmed up a little. Our server said she would check on it and see what she could
do. Later in the meal, she said the temp. had been set at 68 degrees, and that someone told her they
would warm it up. We never could tell that it got warmer, and it made the meal less than relaxing. My
wife had a coat in the car that I went and got for her, which helped some, but I didn't have anything to
put on over my shirt. I can't imaging we were the only ones in that room that felt the cold as well.

Great brunch experience, even with toddlers! Very accommodating to gluten allergies. They custom price kids meals based on what the child eats which is pretty awesome! We’ll be back!

Awesome selection of tapas plates, meats, fishes, starches, could use a few veggie plates. Excellent service, and very cost effective for the quality and quantity of food served. Will definitely return!

I had not been there for two years, I think. Since my last visit, they've gone to a tapas-style endless dinner and it was simply perfect. My guests included the owner of another hot restaurant and she was beyond pleased, too. A+

This was my first time visiting Cafe Josie and I must say that "The Experience" was great. Being able to enjoy the dishes of your choice with a peaceful and a relaxing atmosphere truly made my time here very extraordinary. Next time, I will bring in a friend so I can share "The Experience" with.

My fiancee and I came here for our anniversary and couldn't be happier! We parked in front of a restaurant on the same block and made our way to the front door. It was a Saturday so they only had "The Experience" available to order but that's what we wanted. Every dish we ordered was amazing and there was a variety available, including the two specials. My favorite dish was the Korean Fried Chicken and her favorite dish was the Scallop Ceviche. I would highly recommend this restaurant

We were there on a Friday, our only choice was the experience at $45 a head. All the options were too rich and appetizer like. A more tapas experience is what we were expecting. I would only recommend on an a la carte basis.

We came to celebrate our anniversary, ready to eat a lot and enjoy the "experience"! But after only receiving two plates within our first 45 minutes, it soon became clear they intentionally don't bring your food fast in an effort to get you to eat less. Huge let down in that respect. I would be much more forgiving if they seemed understaffed or crowded, but that wasn't the case that night. In our hungry wait for tiny plates of food, we were also brought three plates that we did not order. One of which was put down so fast we didn't even get the chance to say it wasn't something we ordered but we were so hungry we just ate it anyway. After over two hours, we had only eaten about 5 1/2 plates each but were honestly more bored of the wait than full. Our waitress was very nice to offer dessert on the house because of our anniversary which was very tasty, possibly the best plate we ate. The food experience was a let down, nothing screamed high class food or blew our minds. It was all just okay, some dishes good. But I was definitely expecting more for such a huge price.

Café Josie was spectacular. Very minimal decor. Small, intimate space so you focus on the food. We tried everything on The Experience menu, with the exception of 3 things (there’s 15!) just because we had no more room in our stomachs! And we did go for a second round of the Brussels Sprouts... I could eat them morning, noon and night!

This is a great place for a special date... no kids. Nice bar selection.

Can’t wait to go again when we come back to Austin!

Great experience 1st time visiting Cafe Josie. Their $45 deal where you can try everything on the menu is unique, fun, and delicious We sat at the bar, shared a bottle of wine and a bunch of these small plates. Pork belly was yummy, there was a steak dish perfectly cooked. The shrimp
On top of a delicious yucca-tot was a Kurt’s over cooked. Mac and cheese. Wow. Chicken liver Pate mousse was tasty good. And the little gem lettuce refreshing. Love the concept and totally joined the experience.

We were only a party of 2 but ate enough for 4! I had not been here for years & brought my daughter for her birthday. They have a pre fixe menu for dinner that is fabulous called the “experience “ and rightly so!
We shared 8 small plates of amazing food and loved everyone of them. On Tuesday they offer a special discount cocktail menu that we enjoyed as well.
Honestly one of the best meals I have had in Austin for a long time. The service was great, the food delicious & although we were so full we had to try dessert too! It’s a perfect spot for any size party but 3 or more would be better than 2 so you could possibly try everything on the menu.
We will be back soon with friends!

Everything was over- or under-seasoned. The scallops tasted metallic. The salmon was overshadowed by a very intense broth. A lot of the dishes were VERY salty. Every dish was very sweet, which is a bit of an issue for my diabetic boyfriend.

Our waitress was lovely. I love the concept of the restaurant, i just feel the execution is lacking.

Amazing display of culinary creativity and skill. At most restaurants, you have a salad or appetizer and a main course. Pretty boring--no matter how well the food is prepared. At Cafe Josie, the whole meal is based on trying as many small expertly prepared mini meals you have appetite and energy. The chef takes you on a culinary quest for as far as you're willing to go.
