Cafe Jardin at Sherman Gardens Ratings and Reviews
I love Sherman Library and Gardens for the sheer natural beauty of the surroundings. Unfortunately the day we visited the restaurant had a problem with its gas ovens and could not serve the quiche which I️ was looking forward to.
I did have a ceasar type salad topped with a poached egg. The salad was very tasty though not a large enough portion.
Beautiful setting delicious food and very reasonably priced for quality of food. My only complaint was service was so slow we had to get up 3 times to get someone’s attention , we had to get up to also pour our refills for water ? It’s a shame they obviously need more help and try to serve the whole restaurant with the manager and one server . Still we left very satisfied and enjoyed our meal tremendously!!
Outdoor café overlooking the beautiful Sherman Gardens. We found the food to be creative and
delicious. Started with the steamed beet salad and the pate , both unique and delicious. We had the trout and finished with the "thin apple tart". Would do it again in a heartbeat.
Just a lovely relaxing yummy lunch ( the bottle of champagne we ordered might have had something to do with that) with a pretty view of the gardens. We had the trout and while I usually eat very light, I appreciated preparation: the skin crisped in butter, potatoes and hericot vert.
Wonderful experience. Beautiful outdoor seating with excellent services . My friend and I had lunch and chose beet salad, salmon appetizer and crab cakes which we shared. We ended with the apple caramel tart. The food was perfect and the ambience made the afternoon pleasant and relaxing. You do need to save your pennies though, but worth every one.
I took my aunt and cousin here for Sunday brunch and auntie absolutely loved it! She was enchanted with the dahlias in bloom and enjoyed the food and ambiance as well. The food was cooked perfectly and we were all members of the clean plate club. Can't wait to go back!
Food OK for lunch. Setting=pleasant, nice breeze on patio. Ordered champagne, soup, quiche & salad. Served soup before champagne. Got the "here's your hat, what's your hurry" treatment and there were always empty tables. Would patronize again but request server space out courses just a little.
