We made a reservation through open table, but when we got to the restaurant, we found out it has been closed.

We made a reservation for dinner but we were seated in the bar with two huge TV's that were really distracting. The restaurant had a separate dining room that we discovered after we had ordered. We had the octopus tacos for a starter. It was like chewing rubber. Steak was OK for the price even though is was a butt end strip with gristle running through the middle.

We probably won't be back

Made reservation so my wife and I could have a nice anniversary dinner. Arrived to a nice restaurant with live music and well dressed staff. Looked over all the options on the menu and became very excited and ordered. The ceviche was good and just spicy but the mojito we ordered with less sugar was double sweet. Its ok, we don't send food or drinks back. Then dinner arrives and how tasty but my wife's plate cold, not cool.

So not the way to make a first impression.

I had the filet and it was excellent, as were the wasabi mashed potatoes. Their pistachio cake was also amazing. The servers were very attentive and polite. We will definitely go back.

Menu items seem to have changed. Prime Rib was tough, potatoes cold, and they were out of dressing for house salad. However, server was very attentive.

Great customer service and good food. I was disappointed with the asparagus that came with my salmon.
The cocktails were good.
The chicken was value for the money.

The food was fantastic. We had Seanad to beet salad. Delicious! The music was a little loud for business meeting. Food was great, I will be back for sure.

Overall, my husband and I had a nice dinner. We started with the Shisito peppers appetizer which was very good. Their house salad was very tasty as well. We regretted however, ordering our steaks on the up sell salt block. Your meal arrives sizzling on a large slab of salt that is several hundred degrees. The concept is that your steak will stay warm while you eat. The problem is that is also continues to cook! They also include on the block any sides you have ordered. In addition to vegetables that burned up on the block, so did the 4 shrimp I paid extra for. They were inedible rubber! We did have good service even though we were disappointed with the sell job. The pistachio cake was delish!

It was very enjoyable. The food was delicious and presented very well. The salmon on the salad was a bit small. The server was ok. I asked about specials and he didn't know. He had to ask. I had seen it was 5.00 Martinis on the website but he had no idea. Other than that it was very nice.

The amount you pay is not worth the amount of food you get. $28 for a prime rib that came with no sides. No potatoes, no fries, nothing. On top of that, the prime rib looked like a 7 bone steak you could buy at Vista Market. Wife had a salmon plate that had a tiny piece of salmon with 4 pieces of asparagus.... 4... cmon! Not worth the drive to west side much less the 60$ for two plates.

Great furnishings, atmosphere, lighting and service. Menu was imaginative and the ceviche appetizer was especially great. The salmon was among the best I've had in El Paso considering distance from fresh source. Made reservations however when we arrived that there was no one at the greeting desk and we had to go thru the restaurant to find some staff member to seat us and recognize that we had in fact made reservations. Outside architecture and lighting looks very inviting a restaurant.

Pros:
Clean, nice ambiance, quality, flavor profiles, service, attentiveness by management, clean restroom

Cons:
May be a bit overbearing if you're sensitive to loud noise, I asked for my burger medium but instead it came out well done (although in their defense it was still incredibly juicy), and the tuna was a bit underwhelming (maybe just a bad day but this particular one tasted like any piece of tuna from any grocery store, but again in their defense el paso is not a coastal city so getting quality seafood is at a price point many customers would not want to pay for)

The two people who handled our table were great! I've had him on previous visits and he is the best! Food was sooo good. I think Café Grill has the best salmon in El Paso. Good experience for our friend's birthday, too!

Hardly any beverage in the expensive alcoholic drinks. Shrimp was over-cooked. Server was very good and attentive. Overall in no rush to go there again, thought the quality of food and drinks not worth the price.

Waited for an hour for half our order then another 10 minutes for the other half. Then we got the wrong check and paid it then got the "right" check so my credit card was double billed. I asked to talk with the manager and though she provided a hollow apology she was dismissive of our complaints, we are regular customers and all the waiters know us by name....can't believe how we were treated. I will never go back!

We celebrated a special occasion. The table was set up and ready when I arrived. The manager Roberto was very accommodating when taking my reservation, due to a miscommunication of a new hostess. During this visit the food was inconsistent. The french dip sandwiches are delicious, but one of the sandwiches that was served at the table had very little meat, compared to the others that were brought to the table. The issue was brought to the attention of management and a satisfactory resolution was given. The service was a little slow but it was a big group. Several of my guests wanted to order sushi, but we were told that it is no longer available, and we were looking at an outdated menu. In closing I have a few suggestions: 1. Serve sandwiches on a plate not a thick slab of wood. 2. Stay open past 7pm on Sundays, 3. Update your menus, remove items that you don't serve. Overall I would come back and recommend Cafe Grill to my friends and family.

This is the second time we have dined there on a Monday, and both times the service has been less than desireable.
The restaurant was not slow, but the wait staff and the bar seem to be running around without direction. Food tasted good, but food comes out at different times and staff seem to have a problem getting orders correct.
Think we will avoid going on a Monday again.

Excellent food and a great venue. I've been coming here since it opened And the food is consistently very good. The service, however, is lacking. There seems to be new wait faces every time I go. They generally aren't familiar with the menu and you can wait forever when the meal is done for your check. What the service lacks is more than the out-weighed by the food. Overall, I recommend it.
