My wife and I always come here for romantic celebrations, the atmosphere is very nice, low noise , and great food!
Always delicious food and service
Every time I go and have lunch or dinner I am welcomed with warm greetings by Mr. Joe or Mr. Perez. The food is always delicious and fresh.
I had the Cajun Roll and it was amazing and spicy, which I enjoy when eating sushi.
Excellent lunch menu. I have been going there for years, although I have to travel further now as I have moved. Still worth the trip. Food is very good. My only negative was ordering off the menu and being charged more than other dishes (and the price it used to be).
Food and service were great. Only issue was we had a reservation and were seated 20 min late.
The food and service were excellent. I highly recommend Cafe Ginger.
Have been eating at Cafe Ginger for many years, always is great
Cafe Ginger is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Houston. The ambience is lovely and service is great. I have enjoyed everything I have had there and highly recommend it for dinner or lunch!
Delicious! Great service
Great restaurant with good service and food. Nice ambiance.
Really enjoyed our meal. Service was great. Had seven in our party and no complaints. Our server went above and beyond what was expected.
Great food. Romantic atmosphere. Consistently exceptional.
I always receive an excellent prepared meal by the chef!!!
Always, always, always superb, considerate service at Cafe Ginger. The waitstaff is 5-star, making this a local staple for neighborhood dining. Great choices of food and wine. We particularly enjoy the sesame chicken. I would not, however, recommend the sweet and sour chicken. The pieces are small, and the sweet and sour sauce is saturated in the batter, making the meal seem soggy. Nonetheless, Cafe Ginger is a stellar, local choice for inner-loop Houstonians, providing a quiet ambiance imbued with Asian art.
Good as always. We like atmosphere at the other Cafe Ginger better but they did there best with the options Thayer were given.
This restaurant serves consistently good food for a great value. Love to eat here for lunch or dinner.
Cafe Ginger has some of the best Chinese food in Houston. Very consistent. Great atmosphere too.
Robin makes our dining experience the best!!! The food is so fresh, cooked to order and the staff takes care of our every need!
Love this place!!!
I have eaten here several times and the food (the duck especially) never disappoints.
Always a favorite place. Never dissatisfied.
I gave Café Ginger 4 stars for the food as my duck was dry and disappointing.
My husband's dinner, Shrimp & scallops Hunan was outstanding.
We started with the steamed dumplings which were offered on the "Happy Hour" menu. They were delicious
Every time I go there I’m treated as if I am part of their family. Management, posters, wait staff, and other staff always keep my glass of water or tea filled and periodically I’m constantly being checked on which I appreciate.
Food was excellent and not rushed. Noise level was a little high for a table conversation even in the back room. Will come back at an off-time so we can chat
Always delicious.. love all the staff...always trying to please!!!
We has had theshrimp tempora appetizer. Terriaki sauce watered down, no excuse for "cheaping out" kon an important part of the dish.
Sweat snd Tangy Shreaded Pork was good. Would choose this again.
Vermicelli with seafood just okay, rather bland.
Still tryimg this menu to find consistsntly good dishes. This was our third time. Still not sold on this place.
Dibe often at Gunger but food was off tonight. Selected sushi rolls as mains. Cajun roll did not taste fresh. Rainbow roll was smallest portion I've experienced to date.
In my opinion, the best Asian food in Houston. Service is terrific. Every dish we have every tried has been superb. The restaurant serves a large sushi menu as well as all traditional Chinese favorites.
Most Chinese dishes will cost about $15; this is perhaps somewhat higher than some, but the quality of the food is superb. Only firm white-meat chicken is used, and the beef is also very fresh and delicious.
Cafe Ginger has a good wine list, which should satisfy most people. The decorations are amazing and are well worth seeing.
Awesome quick service and great food.
This is one of my favorite places to eat at. The place is beautiful inside and the staff is really prompt and friendly. I enjoyed the food there especially the sushi as everything is fresh. I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner. I'm definitely going back.
Roast duck was pretty good. Prefer a bit crispier on the outside.
We always enjoy our meals and service is excellent
Consistently good food. My mu shu pork and my husband’s cajun were great, but our favorite is the seafood fried rice. Full of shrimp and scallops, this dish elevates fried rice to gourmet status!
Daily special was average.
This was my second visit to this restaurant. I come with intention to have Chinese food, but end up getting Japanese. The food is good, very fresh. Sushi is delicious and well presented. Happy hour is good, though certain items under HH menu have the same prices as the regular menu. Its misleading, so just check to see if you are getting a deal. I think we will be come regulars.
Food was good, uninspired. The drinks were horrid--worst cocktails I ever had
Great food. Excellent service.
Love Cafe Ginger - great place to catch up with friends.
While Decor is similar the lack of room separators makes much nosier than old location
One of best Asian restaurants outside of Chinatown!
I did not realize menu was identical to Qin but some items like shrimp tempura were much better as were steamed dumplings
I will frequent Qin because of noise!
went with a group of people, it was fairly quiet but we had great service. all dishes were great & very shareable. The veggie dumplings were delicious! The salt and pepper soft shell crab was amazing (probably best i've ever had). loved their tuna tartar. Will definitely be going back!
