Haven’t eaten here in over 7 years as the last time was not very good. Gave it a try since we heard it had a new owner since then. Very very good in all respects now.
Veal chops we beautiful and delicious. Grouper dish was wonderful. Service was spot on and we had an outstanding evening. Prices were very reasonable.
Robby was our server and he couldn’t have been any nicer and very attentive. I had surf and turf, delicious! Husband had their veal chop and also delicious. And it’s his favorite for veal chops.
The food and the staff are wonderful. 6 years since we moved here from a great restaurant area, we both agree, Cafe G is by far some of the best Food, Wine and Service in the area, hands down.
Food and service very good. It was a bit pricy for Italian but it is a resort town so expected. Would absolutely recommend.
Superb food, best Branzino anywhere. Pasta is also terrific. We go there regularly
Celebrated our 25th anniversary. The service, meal and evening were perfect.
Great meal!wonderful atmosphere .No complaints.will definitely return 🙂
The lasagna was delicious and the service was outstanding. The wine choices were unlimited. We will return again, with friends from our community.
This is the fourth time I have eaten there and I have also had a great experience. The staff is friendly and they are beginning to remember me. I love the atmosphere and the food is fresh and delicious.
Outstanding restaurant, the food was delicious, atmosphere was perfect and the service was great. We highly recommend going.
Had a wonderful birthday experience! Food was exceptional.
Amazing dinner , celebrating an anniversary. One couple was gluten free and the restaurant could not have been more accommodating. Delicious food and great service. If the Parrot fish is available it was an amazing.... a rare treat :)
Once again, a wonderful dining experience at Cafe Gabbiano. Great cocktails, superb bread.
My wife's veal was fork tender, and lovingly prepared. My tortellini with peas, ham and mushrooms somehow managed to be insanely rich while still remaining light and delicious. Excellent service in the cozy wine cellar made for a perfect evening. Bravo!
The food here is amazing! Our server was Nick and was wonderful! Paid attention to every detail. Will definitely be back!!
Always enjoy a delicious meal here when in town. We had the Calamari which was excellent. My Lobster Ravioli was fabulous as always.
My Husband ordered the Veal Chop which was tough.
Desserts were excellent. The service is Top Notch.
Cafe Gabbiano made our Bachelorette party dinner so special! We had a table in a private wine room with fresh flowers, photo props, and a hand written congratulations note when we arrived. Our waiter, Robbie, was such a delight! The lobster ravioli was phenomenal and the service was out of this world. I can't say enough about our experience.
Thank you Robbie and Cafe Gabbiano :)
Our first time. It was perfect. Service was excellent. Food portion were huge!
The food was, as always, terrific! Our son was ,visiting from out of town and we wanted to share with him a tremendous dining experience of which we were quite successful at. The back room "wine cellar" was a real treat as well.
Great food, great service and great atmosphere!! What more could you ask for. Oh and exceptional wine!
This was our second time at Cafe Gabbiano after being there for their great happy hour the day before. If you are unsure of this place, do the happy hour where you get great wine for five dollars and either half price or five dollar apps that you can make a meal out of. After that you’ll be back for dinner, guaranteed.
Kimmy at the front desk was fantastic, even calling us after we left my wife’s shawl there and Louis was our very personable and excellent waiter along with the rest of the staff. All in all a very nice place to have great food, an enjoyable time and wines from a very comprehensive wine list.
All of the food was subpart with minimal flavor. The spaghetti pasta had way too much egg and was yellow/could taste the excess egg. The eggplant parmesan was not fresh, likely frozen and reheated/ had a funny taste, smell to it.
The bar area smelled like mildew my husband had a sneezing attack because of it.
They put the two of us in the wine cellar which is a beautiful ambience but the only people in the whole restaurant were in there which made it rather noisy.
The food unfortunately was very disappointing for my last visit the rack of lamb was a fatty and tasteless I should’ve gone with my first choice maybe the scallopini.
Doubt that will go back it was a long drive from Bradenton for us😢😢😢😢😢
The food and service was excellent. Can’t really say more than that. Will certainly be there again.
I wanted to like Cafe Gabbiano, and I did. But I expected a great experience, and several thing fell a bit short of that. Still, on balance it's a good option and we'll be going there again in the future.
My favorite dish was the Branzino. It was excellent in concept and execution. Nothing unusual, but very nicely done. The pasta dishes were also solid, if not at the "great" level that I was hoping for.
At the other end of the range, the salads were just OK. Really should have been better if you're wanting to be top of list. And the chocolate "souffle" was not a souffle at all. They just lied and called a chocolate cake a souffle, which it is not. And the canned Hersey's chocolate sauce that they pour over the top takes it from a 5 to a 4, and not from a 5 to a 6 as they may hope. My daughter liked the dish, so I'm not complaining as much about the taste, but when I order a "fresh baked" souffle it should take 30 min and be a souffle, and not take 5 min and be a chocolate pudding cake or whatever it was.
Overall though, we enjoyed it and will go back. Service was good throughout.
Good food and chill environment!
Overall happy and would come again
My wife and I both had veal. That night we had stomach issues. We are leftovers next Day with same results.I think the Veal was Bad.
Great service, big selection.. food was delicious!
Overall excellent food, service and wine. They also have great gelato and coffee for dessert. The location is great if you want to walk to the beach afterwards.
Server was nice. Decor old and tired. Food was terrible. Bland and flavorless and waaaaaaaay overpriced.
The table was very small and we were having difficulty with size of table, water, wine, etc...
Fish special was good but homemade Gnocchi was amazing.
Great Italian food & wine. We go there every time we are in Siesta Key. Just great food
Place was nice and located downtown. Ate outside. It’s in a strip mall. Had a guy playing guitar and singing. Food was overall good. Bruschetta was very good and on home made bread. Also had veal chop, chicken cacciatore and lasagna. Red sauce was sweet on the lasagna.
We love Cafe Gabbiano. We go there every time we visit here.
Our favorite restaurant on Siesta Key!
Food and service was amazing. Highly recommend for a great meal!
High end in price, but everything was outstanding so we didn't mind.
Highest quality food, and best wine list on Siesta Key. This place has successfully committed to fresh, accurately and carefully prepared meals, and shunned the table turning, basically bar food scene that surrounds them in the SK downtown. While certainly kid friendly, this is THE place for a couples or small group dinner. And definitely the place for a professional dinner or gathering.
Service and food was very good as always
