It was the birthday treat for my Mom & Myself, she enjoyed the food on the lighter fare menu the Chocolate Bar was wonderful, the ambiance MUSIC live quartet excellent, great way to spend our Saturday afternoon
The food was delicious and the service was perfect.
Birthday for our daughter
I went with two people for lunch and ordered light. Only drank water. The bill was close to $80 without tip! Really, for lunch in a hotel??? There is nothing special about it and the prices are 2x what they should be. Maybe they need to charge more money because nobody goes there. It was pretty empty during prime-time business lunch hours. There are too many other options in Boston and I would recommend people to STAY AWAY!
We had an absolute awesome time at the all you can eat chocolate, there was so much to choose from and it was delicious, the staff was fantastic and the girl at the crape station was
unbelievable. We are defiantly going back.
We went to the chocolate buffet.. this is our 4th time going, the 2nd for our 9 year old, and 1st for our 3 year old.. the selection. Is incredible and the quality is top notch.. there is something for everybody
Everyone should experience the chocolate bar at least once! We celebrated our daughter's birthday with her fiance. Lee did an awesome job of keeping us supplied with clean plates, water, coffee, and great jokes ... as we wandered with open eyes and mouths through mountains of chocolate on all sides. It was fantastic!!
Dined at Easter Brunch. It was a beautiful setting, very elegant. A quartet played jazz and so it was very nice. The buffet selection was very extensive. I was not able to sample everything.
The prime rib was excellent, but no au jus? The lamb wasn’t as tender and lacked taste. Think average buffet beef roast... it didn’t compare to the prime rib.
The oysters were flavorful, but the crab claws were thawed and had virtually no taste. The sushi was about average for a buffet, with the salmon nigiri being the best. The smoked salmon was also very good. The seared tuna tataki was overdone and tasted previously frozen.
The Waffles were really done well. It came with numerous toppings. There was a crepe service, but i didn’t participate. The blueberry muffins were also great and fresh. There was a chocolate fountain... but again I didn’t part.
The service wasn’t particularly good. The silverware had bits of food that were stuck on a spoon. We never had coffee filled without asking. And plates were slow to be cleared.
I think it would have been ok, but the cost per person was $110, which given the quality of food and the average service we received... I don’t believe it was worth it.
I bit on the steep side, but absolutely outstanding!
Food, service, ambiance.. Absolutely perfect for the Easter brunch!
The venue and service were both very nice, but the oatmeal was lukewarm and pretty tasteless.
Delicious breakfast!
Great selection.
Friendly staff
Will be back.
We went to Cafe Fleuri for my girlfriends birthday. It was our first time here and we didn’t know where to start. We looked at the menu and we both agreed to order the lobster mac and cheese. Our waiter came by and explained how everything worked, at that time we also told our waiter that we would like to order food as well. His response was “it’ll ruin your appetite,” however we thought our order was put in. Guess it wasn’t because we waited almost 45 minutes before we realized that we probably weren’t getting the food we ordered. Also a table that was seated after us got their food before we did. We were also seated next so a large party that was having some type of celebration as well. They also added to our unpleasurable experience. We then waited another 10 minutes after we got our check to pay because our waiter didn’t take it from us, even though he walked by about 10 times serving the large party next to us. And the last thing is, when I booked the reservation I had asked if they could come out with a small cake with a candle or something so my girlfriend could blow out. Also did not happen. Aside from that, the chocolates themselves were great and they had a variety of options. It was cool to see all the different chocolates laid out and they had unique desserts as well as classic ones. However, unless you’re 10 or under, you probably couldn’t eat $45 worth of chocolates. It probably would be nice if you’re in the main room, but if you’re in the back corner there is not scenery.
Birthday Excellent experience! A very special way to celebrate a birthday! She absolutely loved it! Absolutely going to go back again. Happy wife -- happy life!
Chef always makes me my special omelet for lunch and my guests are always satisfied by decor, presentation, service and venue
Excellent brunch. Great selection of small plates. Great shellfish. Pasta station. Super yummy duck with cherries. Enjoyed beets with goat cheese. Good carpaccio. Will try to eat here for brunch whenever I’m in Boston.
The Chocolate Buffet is amazing. It's a must AT LEAST once. Great chocolate foods paired with nice live music in a quiet setting.
Menu is rather basic but eggs, meat, juice And coffee is $25.
Denny’s has more variety. The coffee place across the street is cheaper for pastries.
No issue with the food or service but my business lunch was less expensive than my breakfast.
Sunday is the day to go. The buffet is more than your typical “free” breakfast at a hotel, but it is not free.
The food is ok but nothing fantastic.
I appreciated the fruit choices ( watermelon, blueberries, pineapple and raspberry) and the blintzes are excellent.
Saturday Chocolate Bar. Every year a different theme. This year was chocolate through the ages...,chocolate with pop rocks, Twinkie’s, s’mores, peanut butter cups...if you enjoy chocolate this is a can’t miss event.
Atmosphere was conducive for business lunch. Staff was professional, very nice and not at all overbearing. My guest and I each had the Caesar salad with chicken. Salad was fresh. Dressing was flavorful. Unfortunately the chicken was dry.
It was my wife's birthday and so I wanted to take her to a special place for brunch. We had a great experience. The food was great and varied. My wife was very happy. Would recommend it highly.
Outstanding brunch. Large variety of breakfast, luncheon dishes and desserts, including a raw bar, prime rib, and salmon. However it would have been nice to include a glass of champagne or a Bloody Mary in the $75 price.
We celebrated a grand sons birthday and the attentive staff, the lovely jazz music and the amazing offerings at the City Buffet were just perfect.
The Sunday brunch was phenomenal. The selection was enormous and everything was delicious. Highly recommend for a special occasion!
I would go back in a heart beat!
The chocolate bar was amazing and there was live jazz band!
As I was leaving there was a wedding in progress — a glowing indication that the surroundings and ambiance were beautiful. The actual brunch experience, however, I found lacking.
We attended the 1:30 sitting of City Brunch this past Sunday. I wish they treated the 1:30 sitting with more care, as the food was picked over and mostly cold. I was left without flatware on more than one occasion and my water glass was never refilled. I was also surprised how small the selection was — I suppose I am used to the Four Seasons. What I did try was very good (when it wasn’t cold). The omelette station was superb! My guests also enjoyed the chocolate fountain.
I am giving Cafe Fleuri the benefit of doubt that it was a timing issue with the Holiday and it isn’t indicative of their offerings.
Fantastic for the chocolate bar, always inventive and great for special occasion!
Great burger and as always, impeccable service. Tables nicely spaced for business lunches. Prices very high as usual, as well.
Cafe Fleuri has completely deteriorated. Food has declined. Servers are still delightful but very slow.
I wish the servers knew what was included with the continental breakfast with a hotel stay. I got three different stories (yogurt only, up to $48, etc.) and then got a bill at the end of my stay. Please be sure of what is offered before extending it.
A very light and airy place for a business lunch with excellent service and good food. I had a burger which was slightly over cooked but tasty. Fries were disappointing. My lunch companion had chicken pot pie which was deconstructed and looked good but very rich. Prices are high. Most men were wearing suits or jacket and tie.
Pre Celtics Game on trip from UK
We went to The Langham’s Cafe Fleuri for my daughter’s birthday. The Chocolate Buffet was excellent! So many desserts!! It was the closest thing to Willy Wonka as we will ever get! The kids had a blast and we would definitely recommend it to friends.
The Chocolate Buffet is so awesome! Birthday gift for 15 yo daughter, her request, and loved it as much as last time! Fun, sweet, some savory stuff, casual, so good, oh and FUN!
It was amazing as usual. I have been probably around 4 times over the years and it is always delicious. The band was wonderful and the atmosphere was fantastic. I will definitely keep coming to these events.
We were very disappointed with breakfast Cafe Fleuri. The room looks a bit worn and the server first rushed us with trying to take our orders and then disappeared, so after about 15 minutes, another server finally came by.
The bacon was not good quality and the sausage was mushy. No one ever came by to refill water glasses. The staff seemed much more intent on rushing breakfast parties along so they could prepare for brunch.
I wouldn't go back.
Wonderful experience at the Saturday Chocolate Bar. Everything was of high quality, wonderfully presented and delicious! Our server, Juan, was superb as well. Never did we have an empty coffee cup or water glass. He was always present however we never felt smothered. We cannot wait to return!
Cafe Fleuri was unable to seat us at our reservation time because they had an electrical issue. Even though there were guests already dining in the restaurant, the host said they were unable to seat additional guests at that time. So unfortunately I cannot provide a review regarding the food (this was going to be my first visit). Since the ratings above were required, I had to put in 1 star.
We went for the chocolate buffet. It was amazing. I knew I couldn’t eat as much as I paid but, I wanted just once to eat all I wanted and not have to pick 1 thing out of 50 to try. Although, I kind of did have to pick because I couldn’t eat 1 of everything there. It was all delicious.
Marvelous as usual - food was excellent and service was very attentive.
