Café Fleuri is known for the Chocolate Bar- it’s amazing. Such a great thing to do with the kids! A little pricey but worth it. Great bucket list item. Great idea to include some salty with all that sweet though! Thoroughly enjoyed! Staff was amazing as well.
Great food quality and presentation. Excellent service as well! Thank you.
It was a girl's holiday get together for Sunday Brunch. We loved the food, atmosphere, service and seeing Santa! $95 was a little steep....but for a holiday event it was fun. A lot if you want to bring a family.
Brunch was amazing! Such a wide array of delicious food and cocktails and friendly people!
The Saturday chocolate bar was a great experience. Tons of desserts to choose from and a good variety that didn’t involve chocolate. The crepes were fantastic. It is important to pace yourself or you’ll get full quickly. It is a little pricey so make sure you pace and stay awhile in order to get your money’s worth. Also, it was $15 more a person when I went for the holiday theme and music but I didn’t notice much of a difference that the cost should have been more. Overall, this was a good experience, something to do on occasion but definitely not often.
Once again lovely brunch at Cafe Fleuri for family reunion. Something for everyone!
Love the Sunday brunch at Cafe Fleuri, but it is really expensive during the holiday season at $95/pp. For that amount, I would have expected better service (e.g., not having to wait and ask for coffee to be refilled), and while the food was great and beautiful, I would have expected it to be even more perfect.
Family get together
Tourist trap. Mediocre food, average quality. What you see on the menu is not what you get. All the expensive items on the menu are subpar, tiny in size, or nonexistent. For example, there were no scallops. There was a “crappy” cheap seafood salad with the cheapest possible calamari and there might have been one medium scallop cut up In 20 pieces and mixed into the salad bowl. Awful.
No lobster bisque - only lobster based sauce. All meT dishes subpar like a fast food joint quality and slightly below mediocre taste. The beef carpaccio was 1 inch in diameter and thin, so you can’t even get the taste of it. It’s also been out for a while during prime brunch time, and it was dry and tasteless. Overall, this is a cheap food place, that costs $95 plus tax and gratuity. They charge for the brand of the hotel, and I should have known better than to believe their incredible menu. Really, the menu sounds incredible, but it is FAR from reality.
There were 2 items which were good: 1. Oysters - good quality, fresh, and delicious. 2. Sushi - for Boston standards they were good - nothing like real sushi you’d get in Japan, but hey, I spent my time eating oysters and a very limited assortment of sushi.
Desert is mostly horrendous. I’m a big foodie and can literally smell and taste ingredients in my food. Most desert was cheaply made and super unhealthy - literally, not because of the sugar, but because of the cheap, gmo, and other crap ingredients used to make them. There wasn’t a single desert that I thought was edible and good quality.
The wine list is decent, but you are looking at $16 and up per glass for bottle which cost a lot less at the store. I got an $18 glass of wine from a bottle that costs $20 in the store.
Overall, a huge disappointment, and you really can’t get your money’s worth by eating their oysters, because you’d get an allergy after eating so many ;) don’t recommend this place at all!
We have been going to the thanksgiving buffet for about 6 years. We love it. However this year there were two issues. The first was that it was FREEZING in the room. Everyone as complaining. For a $400 dinner I should not have had to keep my winter jacket on and wear it up to the buffet. The other issue was this year they did not include a glass of champagne. If you wanted it you had to pay. They did not decrease the price of the meal. So essentially the raised the price. With those two complaints standing out, the food was very good and the service great. Happy Thanksgiving!
The thanksgiving brunch was just the normal Sunday brunch items with a turkey station added to it. With that being said, the quality of the food was very good.
The Thanksgiving menu at Cafe Fleuri is absolutely outstanding. It makes for a memorable family occasion. Our service and waitstaff were kindly, considerate, and knowledgable. The servers at the buffet stations were most helpful. All considered, Thanksgiving Day at Cafe Fleuri was most satisfactory.
Amazing as usual. Love it.
We took our granddaughter there for the Saturday "Chocolate Bar" and it was fun. There was an incredible variety of chocolate desserts available and they were all good, though a normal person could not get through a fraction of them. There were many children and adolescents there, some celebrating birthdays, as we were. There were other items also available on the menu---my wife and I each had the excellent shrimp cocktail, with some of the largest, best cooked shrimp we have ever seen, and our granddaughter had a mini-pizza, in addition to many chocolate items as well as several servings of cotton candy. Service was good and friendly. It is certainly a place to have a good time and we recommend it.
Had a 10th birthday party there at the chocolate bar. Awesome, fancy and fun.
The food is always good here while a bit pricey. It took a long time to get our food and we were not planning on an almost 2 hours lunch. It seems as though they did not have enough servers as you could see vast amounts of food ready to be served under the lights in the kitchen. It is a great place to have lunch just takes too long on average.
Everything was excellent! The choice of food was amazing and the service was great! Best brunch in town by far!!
Great food and service. Waitress was the best! Would go there and ask for her
I liked the brunch but a few worries. We were told you had lobster tails. Which you didn't have. I loved the concept please don't get me wrong, but a lot of food just had no taste to it and this i was disappointing. Great Shrimp!!!! i didn't like your set up of the raw bar, it was too small. We had to wait for shrimp. I did love the Clam Chowder. The waffles was cute and small but no flavor. We enjoyed the omelets and eggs benedict , bacon, sausage, potatoes, . The chocolate fountain outstanding!! a lot of desserts had no taste to them at all. Wasn't happy with the kids station. We had to wait at other stations because there was no food in the buffet chafing dish. I love pasta but your station didn't excite me at all.
But was this worth $175.00 per person, I think not!!! you should offer champagne with this as well. Even if you offered a one time bloody mary! This is our second time there and this time we brought our niece and her husband. They did enjoy this brunch but also felt it wasn't worth the price. We loved the Waldorf Astoria's brunch and the price was $150.00 per person and they had lobster and the food was a lot better.
I think you need a lot of improvement to this brunch for the price. Your staff should also know what you serve on your brunch buffet.
Seated in basement next to loud college men - I was with Two kids. Server nice but never checked on us once meals came. Out of wine I ordered. Expensive for what it was - I’ve had much better in little Italy at smaller restaurants.
2nd trip to Cafe Fleuri for the Sunday Brunch in one year was underwhelming and not as good as the first. The coffee was great during our first visit and not so much during the 2nd. That set the tone for pretty much everything else. The Crepe and the Pasta stations were outstanding though, both times. This 2nd time, the creme brulee was terrible and some of the other sweets too were like blehh. The ice cream was awesome though. Overall food was hit or miss this time.
The live music felt very nice and our 4- year old enjoyed it as well. Service was excellent as expected.
Not sure if we'll visit again though. For the cost, you expect every item on the menu to be better than average if not awesome!
What an experience! Booked this as part of our city break experience in Boston and can safely say it was one of our favourite memories of the trip. Value for money as can go up as many times as possible.
We are two foodies from Switzerland and love chocolate. That's why we came, for the buffet. We enjoyed the variety of your desserts but found that the actual chocolate desserts were mediocre. Much had nothing to do with chocolate, like the donuts and popcorn and ice cream And a bit too kid oriented with milk and cookies, etc. A fun experience nonetheless. But, for real chocolate desserts and "chocolate soup" I would go elsewhere.
There were 5 of us women getting together for a fun chocolate buffet experience! There were so many desserts to choose from -way beyond just chocolate! Everything was impressively displayed! The crepe station had to be my favorite! Donut station, ice cream station, milk & cookies, chocolate fountains (milk, dark, & strawberry)! It just went on and on! Then there were salty things when you just couldn’t do chocolate anymore, such as popcorn, mixed nuts, homemade chips, pretzels!
Well done! 😋 👍
Café Fleuri is my "go-to" for business lunches in downtown Boston.
Nice looking place but that's where it stops for this restaurant. I had a business meeting and was thoroughly embarrassed on picking this place. I can cook better food and the service was worst than the food. 30 minutes to get the waitress to take our order and 20 more minutes to get it.
Without a doubt the most high end brunch I’ve attended. The buffet was incredible-there was definitely something for everyone. The one area that could be improved is beverages. The wait for coffee and tea was on the long end. On a plus note, parking was only $10.
Been coming to Boston for years and read about this gem in a travel guide.
Will be sure to be here every Saturday I visit!
The selection of dessert and how they tasted were incredible!
The venue was lovely and the food was delicious as would be expected at this price point for brunch. Quite a varied brunch buffet with a tremendous selection of shellfish, including sushi. The only negatives: the hostess was clueless and surprisingly unprofessional for such a high quality establishment.
My go-to birthday brunch with family
The Chocolate Bar was a once in a life time experience. Great adventure into the world of chocolate.
The chocolate bar shouldn’t be missed! Atmosphere, live jazz music, and amazing pastries. Really special.
I ordered an entree salad with salmon. It had kale, butternut squash and pomegranate. Very healthy! I liked the plenty of light and the layout. Definitely returning next time I’m in Boston
Great location and pleasant staff but food is horribly overpriced. It simply is not that special of a place (a la Four Seasons or Ritz) to warrant the excessive prices.
A extremely large buffet offering anything you can think of. You will not walk away hungry and I highly recommend the mimosa flight and/or espresso martinis. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly.
Went for the Saturday chocolate buffet and it was amazing! Had tons of chocolate options. Had some popcorn and chips for salty options which was very much appreciated at the end of a ton of sweets
I have wanted to try the chocolate bar for years! It was all I thought it would be and more. The food was delicious. The service was excellent. The creativity was off the hook! We look forward to going back with our children next time. It is perfect for a brunch with that special someone or bringing the whole family for a special occasion.
We were in town for a Red Sox/Astros game and had brunch at the Cafe prior to the game. Food and service were excellent
