Cafe Europa is a Central/Eastern European restaurant in San Francisco. We serve fresh homemade favorites from Poland, Germany, Russia and many more countries. We take pride in our food and prepare everything in house fresh. Our idea is to bring together Central/Eastern European cuisine and make it welcoming for everyone regardless of their background. Our menu features such fan favorites as: Pierogi, Red Borscht, Dill Cucumber Soup - another soup that’s a hit with our guests, Pork Schnitzel - tenderized loin breaded and sautéed (Some say best in San Francisco), Stuffed Cabbage Rolls, Homemade sausage - yes we do our own sausage in house from scratch, Goulash and Stroganoff stews with rich sauces full of flavor. While European cuisine is meat heavy we do offer few excellent vegetarian/vegan choices. Since we do everything in house we know all the ingredients and can accommodate people with food allergies. We also offer one of the best European beer selections in the city.

I have been to Cafe Europa many times and it is always consistent.
I am so happy they have put Beet Salad back on the menu.
I usually have Cabbage Rolls. They used to serve two and now they only serve one on a plate with mashed potatoes. I found that two Cabbage Rolls were too much for me and serving one (for lesser price) is just perfect.
I highly recommend Cafe Europa for German and Polish Food.

Great food and authentic ambiance. The owner is so kind and friendly. The food was amazing. We had such a great evening at this neighborhood gem. Quiet place, but still has so much life. Obvious that the owner loves hospitality.

Family business. Kids doing homework at the bar set the tone and left you feeling like you were part of the family. Quaint and quiet with great food. What a find- would highly recommend it for a nice relaxed meal

I have dined here many times before and never been disappointed. If you like hearty
European food both Eastern and Western this is the place. They have a wonderful selection of imported beers and a good wine list. The owner is always gracious and welcoming.
The one thing I hope he puts back on the Menu is Beet Salad.
This is my favorite place.

We have been wanting to try this place for s long time as I love Central European food (Czech, Polish, Herman, Hungarian). We went as s family to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant was very accommodating to our needs (infant and elderly) and gave us a spacious table in the back room. We had ordered three appetizers (pierogis, crepe and a daily special). They were tasty overall but nothing to brag about. We ordered the famous goulash, schnitzel, cabbage roll and salmon. Our favorite was the cabbage roll. We noticed all the food (appetizers and main courses) all came out warm, not hot. That was extremely disappointing. We finished our m al with a blintz. Again good but nothing to brag about. Overall food was ok but not worth driving 15 miles for. The service was good.

European Cafe Experience in SF. Reminds me of local dinning spots I enjoyed while traveling in
Germany, northern Italy, Austria.

Food was as it should be and the owner was accommodating , warm , charming and interesting.

My aunt loves polish food, so on our San Francisco trip we searched for the best before we went. We found this place, which was not easy to get to via public transportation, but totally worth the Uber drive. Pieroges were amazing, loved the cabbage rolls and schnitzel. Authentic polish food. Only problem is we were on vacation, would bring this restaurant home if we could!
