One of our absolute favorite places in the Twin Cities. Outstanding food with exceptional service equals fantastic visits. Highly recommend.
Wonderful as always!! Offered both patio and in house dining with plenty of space, and the staff very much respected and organized very well for social distancing and masked.
Always solid - love the guacamole- that is what keeps us coming back
We had an enjoyable time. I’m happy you are in the neighborhood.
We had a great meal at Cafe Ena! The service was outstanding, and the food was awesome. We will definitely eat there again.
While other restaurants finally reopening and/or moving from curbside take out to table service again, have menus suggesting there's not much to choose from in their freezers, Cafe Ena's offerings are as fully unique and intriguing as they ever have been. Our food was exquisitely prepared and beautifully presented and their wine list is has more than enough appropriate pairings to please any fussy connosseur. But don't rush to the entree, you must take your time first and share the treat you've been dreaming about all though the pandemic shutdown, Cafe Ena's guacamole tower! Perfection.
First lunch out in months. Great job at keeping things clean and safe.
I love Cafe Ena! We have dinners there for special occasions and are always pleased. I ordered pork with mofongo for the first time at Ena. It was the first time that I was disappointed. The pork was not as tender as it should be. Also the mofongo wasn’t plantain, but yucca. I am sure of it. The menu can benefit from a few more vegetarian options. Otherwise my family enjoyed their meals and it was a great time.
Wonderful food as always! Ate outside on Father's Day. Great service and felt proper COVID-19 precautions were taken.
The food is excellent - delicious Latin fusion, and we love the sangria. It's one of our favorite places in the Twin Cities. The last 2 times we've dined outside. It's a pleasant outdoor space - the only negative is that it faces a busy street and sometimes it gets very noisy.
One of my favorite restaurants in minneapolis - fresh and creative food with unique and amazing flavors. Professional service. Great location.
It was our first time dining at Cafe Ena. We loved it and will be back. We sat outside, so that is why I rated the noise level at moderate. Enjoyed our evening immensely.
Had a great night with great food!
Great location. The service was gracious and the food was fantastic, better than the high quality I expect, especially the seafood.
We had the sea bass and the halibut. Both were absolutely outstanding. Everything about this place is top-notch. Highly recommended.
Fantastic experience our waiter was top notch wish I remembered his name, sweet and efficient. Food delicious but didn’t come out hot only lukewarm. Definitely will come back
There is no nicer place to be than Cafe Ena's flower-bordered patio, where I was personally served by Chef Hector Ruiz, who was visibly taking infection control precautions. The Bent Paddle 14° ESB beer and the Negril sandwich were both enjoyable.
Wonderful food, service, & ambience. Great neighborhood gem. Thank you!
It was great to be back in a restaurant. The food was delicious and the service top notch.
The food was great. We had a little wait despite having a reservation but we had good service while we waited.
We enjoyed one of our first dinners out, since COVID. And we could not have picked a better place for our meal. The patio is very nice and sheltered from the sun. The service was amazing...our server was not only very helpful but super sweet with our young son. And last but not least the food is unforgettable! I have recommended to all my friends! This is a must go!
Sat outside on the patio. Server wore mask and gloves but mask was pulled down every time he spoke so not really very effective. Tables spaced fine. Individual water bottles vs. glasses of water. Menus wiped down. Food was good, not great. We really liked our empanada appetizer. Main courses were visually appealing, but fish entree came out lukewarm and oversalted and beef entree was cooked more rare than medium and was a tough cut of meat to cut and chew. We normally love our dining experience at Cafe Ena so hopefully this was just a blip.
Great dinner - great service. So nice to be able to go out to eat again at one of my favorite restaurants.
The fish entrees were outstanding! Chilean sea bass and halibut, each with really interesting flavors. Try the tomato salad with grilled panela cheese too...delicious. Service was a little uneven, but we were there on the first night of being able to sit inside, so that was to be expected. We're glad Cafe Ena is back!
Service was great with Rene. Best ceviche in town
Amazing to be back at Cafe Ena. Thank you for making our time there memorable and awesome. :)
Bloody marvelous just moved to MN it will be our regular for sure
Best Chilean Sea Bass I ever had and I have ordered a lot over the years at many different restaurants.
First time dining out post covid—the experience was wonderful and the food was exceptional! Well done cafe ena!
Dear Chef Hector and team: Oh, how we've missed you! Had the Lubina and Bife De Chorizo. Both were fantastic!
I had the scallops and my wife had the sea bass. Both wonderful.
The best lemon-lime pie I have tasted!
We had excellent service--polite, informative, and friendly (perhaps in part due to the fact that there were very few diners because of the latest "social distancing".)
As always, the food was uniquely prepared and delicious!
Always a winner, especially with the best guacamole in the Twin Cities, as well as their lunch salmon plate. Service was impeccable. Our guests from Texas enjoyed their meal and experience near Lake Harriet.
Never disappoints!! It’s nice to see this neighborhood business continues to thrive !
We arrived 10 minutes early for our reservation - our friends had not arrived - and the staff refused to seat us even though there were plenty of empty tables. Finally they accommodated our request. We were crammed into a 4 top. Food was rushed and cold. I informed the staff early on that we were there to celebrate a birthday. After our meal, our server brought out dessert menus and I whispered that it was my husband’s birthday and would like a sliver of cake and candle. I was told they had no record of that. We ordered 4 desserts and they comped one of them - which was nice. As we were leaving, a sliver of cake and candle was on its way to another birthday celebration. I have been a regular satisfied customer at Cafe Ena through the years and the restaurant is definitely not what it used to be. Gone is the neighborhood warm feeling and graciousness. I will not be returning
Service is very good. The food is innovative and excellent. It is always a pleasure to see how it is plated. Good selection of wine and beer.
Wonderful as always. Everyone loved the choices they made for brunch.
great food. The guac appetizer is the best I have ever had.
My husband and I were with another couple and we all loved our meals! Scallops, lamb chops, halibut and salmon were all prepared perfectly. And for an appetizer the guacamole is not to be missed. The service was exceptional. We will be going back soon.
