The restaurant itself was very nice and the staff were very friendly. We all ordered the buffet and it was good but very typical of a buffet. Nothing stood out as "amazing" and the price was extremely high ($32 for an adult). I'm in no rush to go back but for a quick breakfast it was a good spot.
I have been to this restaurant twice before and enjoyed it. This visit was very disappointing. The food was dry and not very appealing. The portion for the tofu scramble was extremely small.
Nice dinner. Bug in my wife's wine, however. Restaurant apologized and put drinks on the house.
Breakfast at noon is pushing the brunch thang but I am not from this area so maybe I don’t “get it”. Not bad food.
The food and service was excellent - hard to have a nice French dinner with spring break tourists... still, a nice dinner.
We had breakfast here on a cold April morning. The whole cafe was very cold. Most diners were wearing their outer coats if they had one; some diners who stayed at the hotel went back to their rooms to get their parkas. Most of the food was server room temperature , including the coffee until we asked for a hot pot. Service was good, food was OK, but the overall experience was quite unpleasant.
We waited a long time to be waited on and they screwed up our order.
My sister and I went for my birthday. We dressed up, although the dress attire for the cafe is mixed between casual and business casual. Yet, the formality of the cafe made us feel like we were not overly dressed, and I think it is possible to get away with wearing whatever to the cafe. The Cafe Du Parc is special to us because our grandparents would take us there as little kids. Even through our transition to our adult lives, the restaurant (and the Willard) has been one of the few places to retain its childhood magic and become something of an adulthood gem. The food is outstanding and well portioned. It has a strong European vibe, which I think all of F street gives off. Anyone else from the D.C./DMV area would understand what I mean. The meals are a bit pricey, but thetas to be expected. However, the menu definitely has some options, such as soups and salads, if you do not want to shell out more than twenty dollars for a meal. We would definitely go again.
Excellent service, tasty food, but otherwise a mixed bag. Honesty, they advertise that it is the French bistro experience, and that is probably correct. But as part of the hotel, you get the guests and their little kids, and the ambiance is less than the dollar value.
Prompt service, good food. The menu we were given differed from the menu posted by the door so some of the things we wanted weren’t available.
Good French food. Reasonably priced wine list with good choices. Comfortable setting and very good service. A place to come back to in DC
Everything was absolutely great, even though the description on some dishes in the menu ware not accurate but close.
We were in Washington looking at colleges for my son. I had been to the Willard Hotel many years ago and wanted my family to see it, so I thought it would be nice to have dinner there.
Willard Hotel is absolutely gorgeous. I did expect the restaurant to be a little more upscale in decor. It was a very casual average atmosphere. The food is really delicious, and the service was great. A bit pricey but quite enjoyable.
Amazing food and an gourmet birthday surprise from the pastry chef!
Great and amazing service!!!
This is a great place to eat before going to the National or Warner theatre. They can get you out fast, but it's better if you allow enough time so you can relax and enjoy the meal.
We were staying at The Willard and met our son for brunch. We were told when we sat down that they were not offering the a la carte menu. As a result we paid $30 per person for oatmeal with fruit. As nice as The Willard is it is disappointing that the restaurant was expensive and below par.
We had tickets to Capitol Steps and had dinner here....Restaurant is in The Willard Hotel, an historic icon in DC. We all ordered smaller fares from the appetizer menu and could not have been more pleased. The presentation and service were outstanding, and I would highly recommend for a taste of fine food and ambiance in this revered historic gem.
A friend and I had an event at the National Press Club and wanted to have a nice lunch afterwards. The Cafe du Parc is right across the street, with valet parking and a well deserved reputation. This bistro did not disappoint! We both had wine, mussels and frites - perfection.
The service is impeccable, as it should be. My car was waiting when we left the cafe ... if only someone could have driven us back to Annapolis!
Onion soup was a nice treat on a cold day. Good service.
My first visit to Cafe du Parc will not be my last! The entire experience was first-class from start to finish. We had an early pre-theater dinner and although we were early birds, the ambiance was lovely. The lighting was just right, we were seated near the huge window overlooking the Willard entrance and our waiter was wonderful. From the start of our dinner service, we received a great deal of attention, without feeling like our waiter was hovering. He was professional, very courteous, thorough in explaining dishes and the young lady who also served our table was delightful. They both greeted us so warmly and checked on us to see how our meals were going. The icing on the cake, no pun intended, was when they presented our Mom's birthday surprise. She did not see it coming!!!! I was so TOUCHED. In addition to granting my special request, the dessert was PHENOMENAL! Mom offered us all a taste and we were in disbelief.. Too stuffed for dessert, we did not order individual desserts, but I already know I am saving room on my next visit for the orange creamsicle!!! Major thumbs up to you, Cafe du Parc! Merci Beacoup! Bon Travail. :-)
Food was great. Hit there during restaurant week and followed the server’s recommendations. She was right on every course.
The food and service are phenomenal. A great selection for Restaurants Week.
Good is good.
Must have been an off night for an otherwise great restaurant.
We went for Sunday brunch and it was amazing! Would highly reccomend if you’re looking for a classy brunch spot in downtown DC.
We were disapppinted with the dinner service of our waitress. Our streak choices were delicious .
The cafe is in the Willard Hotel.
I would not miss the lobby of the Willard. Not necessary to actually eat there.
we went for a pre-theater dinner with grandparent and children, the service was very slow and after 1.5 hours we got our main course in time to dash out to the theater missing the opportunity to order dessert.
We were seated in a corner instead of a nicer central area, where there were open tables.
Service was excellent, food was creative, well presented and fresh. Great location but the ambiance was rather sterile. One major turn off was that we were seated next to a service buffet table where they had a baby booster seat nestled among the clean wine glasses...
The food was fantastic and the service. I will be back as it is awesome! Thankyou
Fabulous from start to finish!! We went to Cafe Du Parc last week to celebrate my birthday and it could not have been better. Food was flavorful and delicious. The manager gave me complimentary dessert to celebrate my birthday! I can’t wait to go again!!
Great experience as usual
Always amazing! Excellent customer care-Food is awesome! And centrally located! Highlight for my two Grandsons is to accompany me to High Tea for the Holidays!
Great place for breakfast but dinner was totally disappointing. Service was slow, food was mediocre for dinner, and definitely not worth the money paid. Not what I was expecting for dinner after such a nice breakfast there.
Food very good. Service seemed shaky, like they had inexperienced staff and were not quite sure what they were doing.
If Cafe du Parc isn't on the list of top Washington restaurants you are using, think about finding a new reviewer. I am a local and happened in for lunch by chance. I was rewarded with an outstanding lunch. The kitchen showed great attention to detail on all aspects of the order. The setting of the eatery in the Willard Hotel cannot be beat either.
Our brunch at Café du Parc was disappointing. We have dined at the Willard before and the food was always fine and the atmosphere outstanding, so our recent visit came as a shock. My husband's steak and eggs had been under the heat lamp so long that the eggs looked like rubber and the steak was overcooked- yet, the waiter served them. When my husband expressed surprise at the dish, the waiter ordered a new plate and took the cost off our bill. Great. While he was waiting for his dish, he shared one of my Eggs Benedict. We kept getting crunchy stuff in the eggs and finally figured out that there were egg shells in the poached eggs. Not great. We didn't say anything about the eggs, at that point all we wanted to do was finish our food and get out of there. The waiter stopped by to express his concern over my husband's dish, the manager came by to express his concern and offered us dessert to compensate for our poor meal, but we just wanted to put a bad experience behind us. Will we return? Not sure, but we certainly know what not to order.
