Cafe Du Parc
A Forbes Travel Guide Recommended restaurant, Café du Parc is a quintessential French bistro offering classic French dishes with a contemporary twist.
Influenced by the Beaux-Arts architecture of the Willard InterContinental and the French-inspired design of Washington, D.C. by Pierre L’Enfant, a French-American Engineer, Café du Parc was opened as a French restaurant in 1997 looking to bring a slice of France once more to the Nation’s Capital.
Located on Pennsylvania Avenue across from Pershing Park, a national park home to the World War 1 Memorial, Café du Parc is reminiscent of a Parisian-inspired sidewalk café. Paying homage to traditional French cooking, the restaurant offers diners a variety of culinary offerings from coffee and pastries at its coffee shop, Le Café, to breakfast, lunch, and dinner on its terrace or inside the main dining room.

As always, the food and service were excellent!
Good attenrtive service but the food was mediocre. Appreciate the free dessert and glass of prosecco for the birthday we were celebrating.
One of the best brunch’s in town. Chef clearly aims to please. Top notch staff, very Covid aware. A true delight.
A last minute reservation, but so worth it!
Service was incredible, food was so delicious!
Will definitely visit again and recommend.
Service was amazing, the food was wonderful, and it was an excellent experience all around. I will definitely return.
I went to Cafe Du Parc with two of my friends for Valentine's Day dinner and it was truly amazing. I was a bit worried when we walked in because the bottom level is a cafe (perfect for brunch, not so much for fancy dinner) but I was pleasantly surprised that they also have an upper level for dining. The lighting was dim, each table had a candle and a rose (for V-day). Since it was Valentine's Day, my friends and I decided to go big (Our bill was over $500) and order many appetizers and entrees along with the 3-course meal that they offered for V-Day. And OMG the food was AMAZING! It was definitely worth the price. Seriously, the best food I have had at a restaurant thus far! The chefs really know what they are doing, and our servers were so polite, attentive, and amazing. I am quite sad that I don't live in D.C. as I was just visiting, however, I fully intend on coming back when I visit again! Ps. Our servers gave us all of the roses at the end of the night which was so sweet! Keep up the outstanding service!
We stayed 2 nights over Valentines weekend. Service was outstanding and the room was clean but had a strange odor, maybe it used to be a smoking room? The restaurant was good but not outstanding. We ate breakfast, had room service, and the Valentine special menu. We were served a shrimp cocktail that was not good. The shrimp were not de-veined and were over-cooked. Everything else was pedestrian excluding an outstanding braised beef risotto which was amazing, best dish by far. Overall, average food not worth the cost. Fun hotel though.
What a wonderful experience all around. Easy to park, easy to check-in, food and wine were delicious and the service was friendly and prompt. I got the halibut and scallops over couscous and it was so fresh and expertly prepared. I was also impressed by how clean everything was and how all the servers wore double masks.
This was one of the worse service I have received in dc so far. There was no one to greet or seat us. The staff would disappear quite frequently. It was just bad all around.
Was wonderful
Not real French food. Was disappointed by the rasin bread...
The food was amazing! The tuna Tar Tar was the best I have ever had which is saying quite a lot!
Restaurant week lunch was not as good. Love the Willard, but this fell short
Had a great birthday lunch here for my mom. The wine pairings were incredible qnd I don’t even like wine.
We had a great dinner at Cafe du Parc four days after DC opened for indoor dining again. The food (and wine!) was delicious and we had a fantastic server, who was friendly and attentive. Kudos to the chef for bringing a little bit of France to us for a few hours. We plan on coming back for restaurant week!
With COVID 19 restrictions setting the operating standards, the overall visit was acceptable.
The food was good and the wait staff tried. BUT, it was under the staffed and the staff was over worked, yet they were pleasant. The heater was not adequate, but we managed.
We arrived and every table outside was vacant, except for one. The bakery/to go was open. We left because who would want to have dinner at a restaurant that is nothing like what is described on Open Table. We understand that COVID protocols have been challenging for restaurants, but this experience was avoidable and therefore inexcusable.
Great and fast service. We had the beef bourguignon which was prepared well and quite delicious. We were in a bit of a hurry but they were able to accommodate without diminishing their quality of service. Great date night location as well!
Location is nice. Food was ok.
Service was good. Food was delicious but no kids menu options. We had to order full portions. Also too pricey for what it was.
Café ambience. Great food, service not intrusive, but I had to call the server over 3 times. Second appetizer ordered arrived 20 minutes after the first. Had finished appetizers several minutes, had to flag down server to order main courses. Need to work on rotation among diners.
Food delicious & tasty! Ambience was great! Highly recommend!
Outdoor seating is not available even if you make a reservation outdoors. The staff were rude when showing them the confirmed reservation for outdoors. We received sliced cheddar cheese (like for a sandwich) and something that seemed like a small baby bell as the cheese for our cheese board. The lobster melt was not satisfactory... the desserts were nice and the service was nice once seated.
Best meal I’ve had in many years. Beautifully presented, excellent service!
We had lobster bisque soup . It’s was terrible. It’s was like water and no lobster meat.
Duck was tender sous was good but cabbage didn’t match. And so many potato.
Waiters was not professional. They don’t smile and not good for explanation of the menu. This hotel is amazing but restaurant must be more careful with food and stuff.
Non mi è piaciuto il servizio! Molto prepotenti e senza rispetto ! Non è più come una volta . Il cameriere portava la mascherina sotto il naso sempre. Negativo come cibo e come servizio
The website of this restaurant gave a misleading impression of having a grand upscale space. In reality it turned out to be just a cafe with upscale french restaurant prices.
A fantastic meal with a superb wait staff. Thank you to the entire Du Parc team for making it another great night despite the pandemic!
The atmosphere was nice and our server remembered us from the previous morning. The menu is very small for breakfast. The prices are a little much, but we didn't have time to go elsewhere.
It was extremely crowded. We were seated in a booth, which was fine. Took some time for our drink order to be made because they were so busy. A pen also landed in between us from the second story. We just laughed about it. However, the double doors closest to us was our main problem. One door was left open, which we understand it helps the staff walk in and out. However, it was allowing a freezing chill into the small space. I had to eat with my coat on the whole time.
Food was delicious AMS service was spectacular
Food was fair. Interesting menu. Slow inconsistent service. The big plus was a nice outdoor location a few blocks from the White House.
Food was cold, could never get a coffee refill, reservation was for the dining room but was sat in the middle of the coffee shop.
Felt like a 3 star hotel disappointing room service versus a legit restaurant and way overpriced for the quality
I was not impressed with the menu options. The server he was very nice. Our drinks were nothing great!
Revival gathering on Mall.
Attending Worship Rally
The patio was absolutely great. Service was excellent and food was quite good. If there had been tablecloths on the tables it would have felt like Paris! I’ll definitely go back.
Get the lobster bisque! Salmon was terrific, great desserts, which I give away, but responses were amazing.
Excellent service!
Everything was as good as could be expected eating indoors during Covid 19. Fabulous bouillabaisse. Other than a small fruit fly who annoyed us throughout our meal, we really enjoyed ourselves. Nice ambience. Way more than 6 ft between each table so the place looked very sparse. You can definitely feel relaxed dining indoors at this location
Food so good ! I’m French and I eat French food in this restaurant and it was like at home in France ! So just so good !
