Cafe Du Parc
Influenced by the Beaux-Arts architecture of the Willard InterContinental and the French-inspired design of Washington, D.C. by Pierre L’Enfant, a French-American Engineer, Café du Parc was opened as a French restaurant in 1997 looking to bring a slice of France once more to the Nation’s Capital.
Located on Pennsylvania Avenue across from Pershing Park, a national park home to the World War 1 Memorial, Café du Parc is reminiscent of a Parisian-inspired sidewalk café. Paying homage to traditional French cooking, the restaurant offers diners a variety of culinary offerings from coffee and pastries at its coffee shop, Le Café, to breakfast, lunch, and dinner on its terrace or inside the main dining room.

The patio was absolutely great. Service was excellent and food was quite good. If there had been tablecloths on the tables it would have felt like Paris! I’ll definitely go back.
Everything was as good as could be expected eating indoors during Covid 19. Fabulous bouillabaisse. Other than a small fruit fly who annoyed us throughout our meal, we really enjoyed ourselves. Nice ambience. Way more than 6 ft between each table so the place looked very sparse. You can definitely feel relaxed dining indoors at this location
Food so good ! I’m French and I eat French food in this restaurant and it was like at home in France ! So just so good !
Absolutely superb service. Outdoor seating is on busy Pennsylvania Avenue, but perfect for a 60 degree clear day and some people watching. Service was excellent.
a beautiful day and we could be outside. truly delightful.
Sat outside and had late dinner.
Great for breakfasts, delicious food at dinner time.
Great experience, it was my first time there but everything went well.
We made a reservation, but arrived and did not have a table ready. When we were seated, the wait staff was disorganized with multiple waiters coming to take orders. We made reservations for 11:00 AM because the website and menu both said that’s when the restaurant starts serving lunch. When we asked for the lunch menu, the waiter told us that lunch wouldn’t start until noon, then rushed us for a breakfast order. We had coffees, quickly made reservations for the Old Ebbitt Grill around the corner instead, and had a much better experience there. This place is not worth it and not up to the otherwise exceptional quality of the Willard.
Beautiful and comfortable setting. Delicious Cafe du Parc salad! But need to do something about the bees!
Food was very good but service was terrible. There seemed to be as many servers as patrons but it still took them 30 mins to take our order. Then the appetizers came out well after the entrees and only after we flagged someone down to ask about them. Actually, we had to flag someone down every time we wanted something. Unfortunately, the beautiful view was marred by the sight and sound of construction right across the street, so outdoor dining here won’t be truly enjoyable until next year.
Fantastic service! The food was great! The cafe was located in a historical/beautiful hotel.
Great meal in a beautiful setting!
We made reservations, got there and they told us they aren’t taking reservations. We then waited for a table and multiple groups of people who were there after us were seated first. When we got seated we waited 15 minutes for someone to come to our table then left because it was obvious we would not get waited on.
We highly recommend Cafe Du Parc. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was great.
We stayed 3 nights at the Willard Intercontinental so we had dinner twice at the Cafe Du Parc. Both nights the service was extremely bad even though we had different servers each night. Several employees were overlapping in their responsibilities. I don't know if the servers have too many tables or what the reason is for such poor service. The 2nd night it took 2 hours (exactly) to have a dinner that shouldn't have lasted not more than 1 hour.
Great wait staff, very attentive and the food was delicious
The kitchen was backed up 30 min when we got there. Not a big deal, but kind of annoying.
I get it, COVID, and a busy weekend. We arrived at 9:40 for our 9:45 reservation. We were seated shortly after. Then we sat, while every single waiter walked past us, and even made eye contact. After 25 minutes my husband went to get a waiter so we could at least get drinks. We were told that they would not take our order for 30 minutes because the kitchen was backed up. I've never heard of this before, as orders usually are taken then submitted when the kitchen is reopen. Nope. All the distanced tables were full when we walked in, but emptied to about half before we even ordered our drinks. There was line for the pastry counter of 9 people, which made it crowded for current times.
After sitting there for 30 minutes, another table walked in and sat right away. About 10 minutes later our server finally came by to take our order. (this was 40 minutes after we arrived) I watched the recently arrived table almost complete eating their meal before our food arrived. Over an hour for eggs and waffles was beyond understandable. No offer for a pastry, coffee, or anything else for the inconvenience. I was not impressed. Upon leaving, I did speak to the manager. and encouraged him to give his staff discretion for compensating when the kitchen is refusing to take orders for over 30 minutes. He offered champagne which was kind, but we didn't want to wait any longer, so we declined.
My friend and I arrived in DC in the early am to volunteer for the Franklin Graham Prayer March. We dined inside Cafe Du Parc for breakfast (due to covid spacing restrictions, we had to make a reservation in advance). When we arrived shortly after 7am, several tables had just been seated, but there was plenty of space in between tables.
Cafe Du Parc is a beautiful, immaculate French bistro that’s part of the luxurious Willard Hotel next door, and a block and a half away from the White House. The wood panels/trims, upholstered and leather chairs, thick cloth napkins, etc, all made for a warm, elegant and cozy charm...especially so early on a rainy morning like on our visit. They also have an expansive outdoor eating area.
Our breakfast was absolutely delicious (their home fries are amazing...so light, airy and crispy) with special touches on the plate like a broiled cheese-topped tomato wedge. I’ve also been to Cafe Du Parc twice in the past for coffee and dessert while in DC (pre covid pandemic), and their pastries were scrumptious and exquisitely decorated. Along with the wonderful ambience and great food, their service is very professional, warm, friendly and accommodating. If you’re ever in DC, you should definitely give them a try!
The food was very tasty and the waiters were attentive. I unfortunately almost passed out at dinner so I was unable to finish and try a dessert but they looked delicious and what I ate was very good. I’ll try this place again for sure!
Dined here all 3 nights it was so good. Outside quiet. Simple but excellent menu. Will return for more if ever in DC again.
Food was very good. Lovely umbrella lit outdoor table worked well with rain. Waitress was lovely, just had too many tables.
The food was excellent we had breakfast and dinner there. We had to ask twice for juice for my daughter but overall was very good and the people were nice
You pay for what you get. Party of 4 paid $400 for dinner stood there for 2 hours. Outstanding quality. Drinks well made. Ambience is classy. Busy establishment went for breakfast the same morning I ate dinner that speaks volumes to want to go back the same day. Friendly workers.
We had reserved outdoor dining but appreciated their cooperation -- because the temperature had dropped precipitously -- to move us indoors when we requested it.
Lovely setting and food. Will be going back.
The service was horrible. Only one waiter was working and there was no hostess. People were just standing around trying to figure out how to be seated. No one was greeting guests.
Beautiful setting. Brunch selections were excellent. Great service. Moderate price. Socially distanced. A very nice dining experience.
My omelet was runny/undercooked. Our waiter was nice but busy because people just kept helping themselves to tables and waiving down the waiter. He wasn’t able to get us what we needed cause of this. Seemed a little hectic for 9:30am reservation. We couldn’t get refills on our iced coffee. All and all we prolly won’t stop back.
What a great treat. My family and I had breakfast outside, on Pennsylvania Avenue. The team could not have been more helpful and friendly. French breakfast was delicious.
The gazpacho soup was perfect. Lots of tomato flavor and very refreshing. The salmon was very juicy and light. The accompanying vegetables very an added delight. Great service.
I thought the food was just OK at best.
Such a great service, Javier is such a great waiter.
Cute place and delicious food! The truffle mashed potatoes are absolutely amazing!
Great hotel. Great location. The Willard is a classic. We tried to have breakfast at the outside cafe. When we were there, there was loud construction noise across The street at the WW1 memorial. We left because of the noise. We will go back at some point.
Breakfast with my family on a Wednesday morning. Chose an outdoor table and the atmosphere was lovely but incredibly mosquito ridden. Food and service were excellent.
Because of COVID, we ate outside. The ambiance was still nice. The staff were fantastic, checking on when we needed something, but rushing us or hovering over us. The food was very good and it was served quickly, and hot.
It was just perfect! We sat outside and the nicoise was exquisite, the service great and view lovely! So glad you were open!
This was our third time at the cafe. Outdoor seating was not available, which was unfortunate- it was not yet set up. The value for money is just not there. It was a simple lunch and extremely overpriced. We were supposed to meet a colleague, which is why we went again. Service was friendly but just not up to par with the location. Ordered items like tea never arrived. Bathrooms weren’t available for use that day so I had to find it in the hotel. Two fast food style meals cost us $65 with tip. Just not worth it again - go to a fast food place for 1/4 the price and avoid the disappointment.
