I have been to the Cafe several times and it has always been delightful. November 12th was an unusual evening for the Willard Hotel. The Turkish president was a guest and security was incredibly tight. We were four of the few diners that night and we were amazed that we were even allowed into the building. Very odd to be in such a quiet space with so much happening outside the window.
A side note: the air vent was directly over the heads of my friends on the bench seats under the window. They had to wear their coats during our meal. We were told that the engineering department had been called, but nothing ever happened to warm it up! They did bring us a dessert gratis in apology! It was delicious!
It was excellent! It was a special lunch to
Celebrate my daughter’s 21st birthday, and we just wanted something casual but elegant! The server (Salvador) was very friendly and the food was delicious. We had a happy time, special!
Friend and I went for brunch before an event at Ripley Center on other side of Mall. Only a handful of other folks there . Didn't need our 1;30 reservation. Our traditional brunch items came out quickly and both were delicious. Service was very good!
Nice lunch spot but those days are dwindling. Food was good; service excellent but overpriced for the meal we had. But, sitting on a sidewalk in DC in late October on Pennsylvania Ave has its perks. I like this place and would go again.
This place is perfect for a relaxing morning. Excellent breakfast/brunch buffet.
The food was great and the service was attentive but not intrusive. Elizabeth was so helpful. Thanks for a great evening.
Service was slow. Brought wrong entree. Food was only OK.
We went to this restaurant in the evening and sat outside. There wine list is ok, but not as extensive as it could be for location. We ended up having mussels and pasta. The mussels were very good and the broth was great. The pasta was good but on the heavier side. I would be back, especially for the mussels.
The service at both breakfast and dinner was very good. The breakfast buffet selections were numerous, and delicious. The dinner selections were good, and the food was excellent.
Disappointing but there was outdoor seating.
It was delightful for my birthday. Dara was extraordinary as a host and waiter. So amazingly thoughtful of our visit Thank you
Nice place when the weather is nice. Food was good. Service was a bit haphazard but acceptable.
Great food, great service and great location. I would definitely recommend Cafe Du Parc and I would absolutely go back again
Best onion soup in DC by far. Excellent dessert and wine choices. One of my favs.
Good food, good service, great outdoor patio for when the weather is nice. Accommodated my group of 7 easily.
Poor and slow service
Terrific food and located in a convenient location.
Highly recommend sitting outside
I made a reservation at Cafe Du Parc on the official restaurant week website. When I arrived at the restaurant, the staff informed me that restaurant week was over. I was quite confused because I should not have been able to schedule a reservation on the official restaurant week website outside of the time frame.
We had a very enjoyable dinner at Cafe du Parc! It’s a lovely restaurant located in the Willard hotel. Nice location. The main dining room is on the second floor. My husband and daughter ordered the crab cake appetizer and I had the French onion soup to start - all delicious! Both my husband and daughter commented on how good the sauce was that was served with the crab cake. The menu offered a nice selection of seafood, chicken, beef and lamb dishes. We chose beef bourguignon and the New York strip steak. Meat was tender, cooked perfectly and served with delicious sauces. Service was outstanding too! If you like French food or just an enjoyable dining experience, I highly recommend Cafe du Parc!
Wonderful diner for my birthday - it was restaurant week, so a fabulous deal. The only contradiction was that the food was amazing quality, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was less ritzy. The service was great, and since it was my b day they embellished my dessert. Their golden port was some of the best wine I've ever had.
During restaurant week they offered an additional $29 wine pairing. Not only the restaurant agree that how they display that info was “misleading” because it is made to read that the lunch is $22 but if you add wine is $29.... also the amount of wine is very very small. We wanted to take advantage of restaurant week but got taken advantage of.
Went to CduP for restaurant week, menu advertised as a prix fixe 3 course for $22, “w/ wine pairing $29”. We we awed. As a loss leader, these folks were taking one for the team. Cheers all round. When the bill comes, come to find out those three little half glasses were$29, and the meal another $22 on TOP of that. I and my colleagues were appalled, but the waiter was adamant. So, like $10 a half glass for middling wine...yeah, no. Neither I nor my colleagues nor any of our friends and relations are getting anywhere near this place again. In the trade, IMHO this seems to fit the textbook def of ‘false and deceptive marketing practices’. The very last word in tacky. I feel kind of like I visited a gastronomic low rent used car dealer. Pity, the onion soup was well regarded , although sadly the bland broth lacked that touch of sherry, or the buttery nuttiness of a fine cheese, but I’ll be hornswoggled if I find out next time that the crouton has its own pricing scheme.
Nice location and food was decent.
Nice small restaurant, even though in a hotel it doesn't feel like a hotel venue. Access from the street, no need to go through hotel. On second floor, cozy with an outdoor section on the very broad sidewalk. Food is delicious, good standard portions.
Restaurant Week specials were great !!!
Our servers was amazing. He was very welcoming and attentive. The food was good and we’re surprised by how full we were. Highly recommended the creme brulee.
We went for a birthday dinner and they were happy to sing for us. The meal was lovely, however I would not reccomend the wine pairings. They didn't not go well with the selected meals.
My server Edwin was very pleasant and took great care of me. The restaurant week menu was delicious and I will recommend this to friends!
The food at this restaurant is amazing. The lunch that we had was excellent and they surprised my wife with a wonderful gluten free crème brûlée.
Nice breakfast spot. A little pricey for a buffet imo. $36/ person. I can't eat that much food, so I ordered off the menu which was fine. The croque madame was delicious, as was the eggs benedict. Berries were fresh. I'd definitely go back!
Always a favorite. The food was good as was my chai latte.
Service was excellent. Food was mediocre. My fish dish was poorly prepared. My mint julep was disappointing. I expected upscale food preparation for the price but it was only fair. Ambience was not inviting. Very few diners on a Saturday night. Diners were dressed just casually. It was supposed to be a special anniversary celebration but it was not. Pear dessert was not tasty. Overall would not recommend.
The food was excellent. The Chef certainly has talent and carefully crafts the dishes. The service seemed to not match the quality of the food. I would also recommend table cloths, the crumbs on the table from the bread were very obvious and we kept having to wipe them off. Would highly recommend for food, not necessarily experience.
Outstanding service and food on the patio. It’s my new favourite!
Another very pleasant visit with a friend over lunch, outdoors. With that section's multiple umbrellas, a great option for outdoor lunches, as in avoiding the sun. Service continues to be slower when outdoors, however. Inside or out, I go for its healthy and light food options and the quiet.
I would only recommend this restaurant to elite friends.
Everything was average. Nothing special or great. Restaurant is in a nice location.
