The food is just not as good as it used to be. Very disappointing and the constrcution all around the entrance made it even more disappointing.

My wife and I arrived for dinner about a half hour before our reservation for 5:30. It was a down time between lunch and dinner and the staff could not be more accommodating. We were shown both the lunch and dinner menus and told we could order off either one. We decided on items from the dinner menu and the meals were served nicely presented and delicious. We will be back again and expect that we will be treated as well the next time.

Everything was perfect until the end. I had a bit of a run around when I asked to validate parking. I had to go downstairs, then back upstairs, then back downstairs for this simple task. It was awkward and uncomfortable.

Limited menu choices, smaller portions, nicely presented but higher end pricing for the value. Likely paying for the location.

The restaurant was under construction, yet we were taken to an unattractive back room and served from there. Whether we had the normal menu or not was not clear, but the choices were limited, and the food was not great. Very disappointing -

I was advised 10 minutes before our 7:30 reservation that my reservation was cancelled. After too much discussion we were offered a table on a different floor in a small room which had less ambiance than a McDonald’s.
Food and service was acceptable but didn’t make up for the inconvenience and hassle.
Our only night in DC and it was a bust

They were undergoing a renovation as we ate! Very noisy but they did give us a 50% refund. We should have been notified of the renovation before we made the reservation.

Our food was fantastic and the staff was like a well-oiled machine! Everyone was so pleasant and welcoming, will certainly be returning again in the future! Until then I'll dream about the eggs benedict with crab ...

Six of us dined for a late lunch. Pluses: Friendly wait staff, convenience to the National Theatre, crab cakes, green beans, fries. Minuses: The chicken was mushy and flavorless, the steak was only just okay (maybe you should add a rib eye).

Poorly cooked food arrived lukewarm. Escargot were poorly flavored. Completely inconsistent with a restaurant in this price range.

Fabulous food as part of restaurant week offer but felt let down by our table as could of been any cafe and not grand enough to fit beautiful lobby and bar of The Willard

A nice Rest. Week lunch menu-haven't had escargot in a long time and enjoyed them at Cafe du Parc. The scallop salad entree was really good-sweet, tender scallops with a nice dressing. The salmon with lentils that my husband had was very good also. His squash soup was just a tad bit sweet for our taste. Deserts were yummy. Our server was attententive. An enjoyable lunch.

Cafe du Parc was a nice restaurant experience, however the space is in the hotel, part of and connected to the downstairs breakfast cafe. Ambiance is lacking but service and food quality was very good. Nothing special but solid.

The hostess was visibly annoyed because my party had a last minute change to 3 instead of 4 people. We waited 10 minutes before we got water and a greeting at the table. The server was abrupt and fairly helpless with questions about the menu.

The appetizers were all excellent, especially the escargots, onion soup and seared tuna. The beef bourguignon was very good, the salmon overdone and dry.

Overall, this was a poor performance for a restaurant in a place like the Willard Hotel. It was a far cry from the comfortable luxury and personal service I expected.

It took 15-20 minutes from being seated for a waiter to come to the table, and only after we called out to him. This is unacceptable. The food was good. The new pay at your seat feature is OK, but no one wants their waiter hovering over them when determining a tip amount. I probably won’t come back.

Our dinner took advantage of Restaurant Week. They had great choices for appetizers like escargot, foie gras, etc. Main entrees, especially the beef bourguignon and salmon, were excellent. Great value all in all.

We had an incredible meal on a quiet night in Washington D.C., immediately following the holidays. The filet mignon was melt-in-your mouth and perfectly prepared. My tuna tartare was delicious and just the right portion. Our waiter was attentive but did not hover. Eat here, you will not be sorry.
* We are not related to anyone at the Cafe du Parc, nor provide services for them. This is a completely un biased review from two seniors that happened upon this restaurant in our walk through D.C. the day we arrived.

We were treated like VIPs from the minute we walked in the door. My French toast was good, but nothing to write home about. My boyfriend's hache parmontier was good, but the meat was a little overcooked. Our friend had a good eggs Benedict. The restaurant wasn't crowded, so the noise level was low and we weren't at all rushed, which was very nice for catching up with an old friend.

I ordered their variation of the ham breakfast sandwich, the name of which I do not recall. The sandwich was unique, yet simple and quite well done. The service was stretched, though I’ll admit this may have to do with the January 1st crowd hankering for some morning after pancakes. Pricing was typical for the area and the location was convenient to the Intercontinental Hotel and White House crowds.

Bad service, the table was not even replenished with jams, nor water. I understand that it was busy due to the season but I expected a better service from the Willard hotel.

Although the staff were pleasant, service overall was haphazard with little cohesion, beginning with the acceuil.
Food was ordinary and the size of the single serving of the mussels order was absurd (!)
Perhaps because it is D.C., the prices for any wine bottle are simply not justifiable.
Overall, this “cafe“ does not resemble any cafe found in France.
So, yes we were disappointed and will not be back.
We will not recommend it to our friends.

The noise created by staff at the silverware/glassware station was unnecessary. The noise created by staff while bussing the tables was unnecessary. The noise created by staff as orders were called out to the line cooks was unnecessary.

The dinner was expensive, entirely average, and certainly sub par at that price point. We expected much more.

Exceptional dining experience! From the reception team to the service team, everything, including the food, was exceptional. We arrived ahead of our reservation and the maitre-d accommodated us with optimum efficiency. Staff was very attentive throughout our meal without being too intrusive. Cafe du Parc is the ideal choice for intimate romantic moments or special occasions with family and friends. This is our “go to” place each time we are at the Willard!
