This was my first time at this restaurant and it was wonderful. The food was delicious and the staff were very helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys a great French take on brunch.
Great service, food, ambiance. We enjoyed the restaurant week menu and will dine again at this restaurant soon.
It was 5:30 pm, 95 degrees out and no air conditioning. We ate fast and got out fast. The food and service were very good.
A friend and I tried this out during restaurant week. She had been there for lunch only. I had the stuffed trout which was excellent. I would not only go there again but would certainly recommend it. It was a bit noisy because we sat outside, right by the sidewalk, so there was traffic noise. If we had sat closer to indoors, that wouldn’t have been an issue . It wasn’t bad as it was our choice to sit there and we certainly had options.
Wonderful meal! Fresh mussels clams gorgeous pomme frites Miguel our server was delightful. This our favourite for breakfast also. Charming restaurant!
Very nice atmosphere and very good food and service. Definitively a must go!
THE FOOD WAS COOKED TO ORDER AND SERVED FRESH ,THE STAFF WAS HAPPY TO HELP WITH SPECIAL REQUESTS LOVE THIS LOCAL OWNED RESTAURANT IT IS ALWAYS A THE TOP OF MY LIST
TO RECOMMEND TO FRIENDS
Yankee pot roast just melted in your mouth. The bread pudding was very good. The French onion soup was one of the best that I’ve had.
Delicious mussels and escargot to start, then duck and lamb that were spectacular. Great service.
The shrimp crepes were outstanding...with beurre blanc , perfection!
Wonderful! This is such a charming place — the food, the staff and the ambiance are equally terrific! It is like being transported to a French bistro without the travel ! We especially like the booths in the bar area where the service is very special thanks to Jim who is also the bartender who suggests the best wines and describes the evening specials in perfect detail.
As always a nice place to celebrate a BIRTHDAY!
There were four of us--all local residents--expecting a decent French-inspired meal. It took almost forever to place our order and even longer to receive it. My wife's escargot was burned to a crisp, other people's soup and salad were mediocre. Our appetizers were followed by what seemed like an endless wait for our entrees. The restaurant's main dining room where we were seated was near empty so the number of patrons cannot account for the kitchen's inability to get the food out in a timely manner. Finally, my bouillabaisse came and the fish was overcooked and the broth tasted bland. My wife's shrimp Provençal was virtually Inetable, the shrimp tasting soggy and not properly cooked and the accompanying pasta undercooked. Our friends found their liver and fish dishes satisfactory but uninspiring. All in all, we would not recommend this restaurant.
We went for dinner and after May 1 they have some super summer specials. The shrimp stuffed pepper and red trout was both excellent. We got the crepes for dessert and the chocolate sauce was decadent. Attentive service. All in all an excellent dining experience.
We had a birthday dinner that was very nice. Service was very attentive and thorough. We ordered the French onion soup which was fantastic!! Then a chicken dish and the scallop shrimp and mushroom in a puff pastry. Delicious.
It's patio dining on El Paseo in Palm Desert. A quaint cafe on a street that speaks well for people and dog watching helps make an evening both interesting and an excellent dining experience. Try the three course sunset dinner at $16.95 p/p for great choices and value. Regular menu very popularly priced with choices from France, The Med, Italy, and the USA.
They are also open for Breakfast and Lunch and probably one of the top restaurants on a high end street with many choices
From the Time we entered to the time we departed, the service, the cuisine and wine were all excellent. I had the scallops and shrimp on a salad. I started with crab cakes. The Rosé was perfect with it. A week later we went back. The trout almandine was wonderfully prepared. Next time, I plan to have the steak au poivre. The restaurant is one of Coachella Valley’s best.
Our server Dilip took great care of us. We appreciate the kitchen honoring my husbands gluten free needs.
We have enjoyed going there for almost 20 years. We have never been disappointed. The food and atmosphere are wonderful.
Comfortable outdoor seating, excellent service and fresh, delicious food.
Great service, wonderful staff and a nice location help make this restaurant worth a look. However like many valley restaurants, the food is predictable, under seasoned and just plain boring. Don’t get me wrong, it’s better than ok, but not special/memorable.
Could not have had better service!
Lovely spot for breakfast. Food very good, service even better!
Excellent as always. One of our very favorite restaurants.
Great location and ambiance, but food just average
service, as always was outstanding! Food quality not as good as we have had in the past. Wonderful atmosphere
My wife and I enjoyed the food here. We brought a nice bottle of wine but did not finish it. The waiter was very thoughtful and brought us a paper bag to carry that back to our hotel. We appreciated that. Thanks!
Sat us at a booth which we liked a lot.
A touch of Paris in the elegant El Paseo area of Palm Springs. Friendly efficient service offered with a smile and some menu suggestions. Food included a fish dish, a chicken dish, and a couple of meat dishes all were delicious and cooked to specifications.
The cocktails and wine selection was good. The Tito martinis were perfect.
Classic French desserts were offered but no room left to indulge, unfortunately.
An enjoyable evening thank you!
It's Easter Sunday so its LAMB for everybody. Had four portions full and half servings and they were all cooked perfectly. Everybody thought their meals were delicious. Server was quite good and the wine awesome. Great eve
I can’t say there was anything special about this dinner. The food was ok and the service was just ok. I have to say I was disappointed and was somewhat embarrassed that I had made this reservation for my friends and me for a birthday celebration.
Rubbery mussels and indifferent service. Very disappointing and diffère from previous experience.
Just fair. We’ve been several times before, we didn’t feel that it was as good. Caesar salad was not good. Veal scallopini special tasted like it had a packaged sauce. Everything else was ok. Service not great.
Bread was rock hard, cocktail was not good and good was mediocre.
Excellent food, ,lovely atmosphere!
A nice atmosphere, however a disappointing meal and service.
Always an excellent meal with attentive service. Every entree was superb, but especially the scallop/shrimp salad. If you get the crepes for dessert, they'll do it with chocolate. Yummy!
A great neighborhood restaurant
Our meal was delicious, the atmosphere was cozy, delightful, warm and pretty. Absolutely loved it and would go again. Our waiter I think was Jose and was great. Thank you for a charming evening.
My wife ate like a pig
