Great location and ambiance, but food just average
service, as always was outstanding! Food quality not as good as we have had in the past. Wonderful atmosphere
My wife and I enjoyed the food here. We brought a nice bottle of wine but did not finish it. The waiter was very thoughtful and brought us a paper bag to carry that back to our hotel. We appreciated that. Thanks!
Sat us at a booth which we liked a lot.
A touch of Paris in the elegant El Paseo area of Palm Springs. Friendly efficient service offered with a smile and some menu suggestions. Food included a fish dish, a chicken dish, and a couple of meat dishes all were delicious and cooked to specifications.
The cocktails and wine selection was good. The Tito martinis were perfect.
Classic French desserts were offered but no room left to indulge, unfortunately.
An enjoyable evening thank you!
It's Easter Sunday so its LAMB for everybody. Had four portions full and half servings and they were all cooked perfectly. Everybody thought their meals were delicious. Server was quite good and the wine awesome. Great eve
I can’t say there was anything special about this dinner. The food was ok and the service was just ok. I have to say I was disappointed and was somewhat embarrassed that I had made this reservation for my friends and me for a birthday celebration.
Rubbery mussels and indifferent service. Very disappointing and diffère from previous experience.
Just fair. We’ve been several times before, we didn’t feel that it was as good. Caesar salad was not good. Veal scallopini special tasted like it had a packaged sauce. Everything else was ok. Service not great.
Bread was rock hard, cocktail was not good and good was mediocre.
Excellent food, ,lovely atmosphere!
A nice atmosphere, however a disappointing meal and service.
Always an excellent meal with attentive service. Every entree was superb, but especially the scallop/shrimp salad. If you get the crepes for dessert, they'll do it with chocolate. Yummy!
Our meal was delicious, the atmosphere was cozy, delightful, warm and pretty. Absolutely loved it and would go again. Our waiter I think was Jose and was great. Thank you for a charming evening.
My wife ate like a pig
We always have a delicious meal here at lunch and at dinner.
I thought the experience was disappointing based on the description that I read online, and the fact the restaurant is located on El Paseo Drive, which represents itself to be up-scale. We were given our choice of sitting in the bar area where the entertainers were located or a table for two in the main dining area. We made the latter choice, which turned out to be somewhat cramped, and suffering from major air infiltration (it was a windy day and the "windows" were plexiglass with substantial gaps at the corners). A waiter lit an outdoor heater, which helped. The website mentioned "smart casual" for dress; but, it looked to us like most people walked in off of El Paseo wearing their tourist clothes.
My wife had Caesar Salad (good) and stuffed chicken breast (just "so-so"); I had the beet salad (very good) and the salmon (grilled), which was overcooked. I thought the salad portions were fine, but the entrees were skimpy. I had two martinis, which were very good. We are accustomed to spending more than we were charged here for a dinner in the Palm Desert; but, overall, especially considering our uncomfortable seating, we don't believe that we received very good value for our money. We won't be going back, nor will we recommend this restaurant without a lot of conditions.
Ok food but not really authentic French cog au vin not made right Apple tart was cold and sent it back.
A local gem. We have been dining here for years. Always consistently great.
Very noisy but pleasant service great waiters knew about menu
Never had a bad meal here. Delicious French bread salads are great - love the Beaux Artes salad and the Nicoise. Do not leave out the Profiterole!
Great Place! Always good, this was for an after church breakfast with friends and the restaurant didn't disappoint!
This place is absolutely awful....came here with some friends on a Sunday for a late breakfast. Don’t waste your time or money. The service is substandard and the food is the terrible.
A Palm Desert favorite. Good french food makes CBA pleasantly busy. Continuity of staff makes it work well. We will be back.
The four of us enjoyed different but excellent meals with a personable server and a very good choice of wines.
Typical French bistro menu served in older, quaint restaurant. Nice ambiance and very good service.
Comfortable!Good with friends. Nice place...Friendly staff!
We sat near an open door, and nearly froze. It took 25 minutes to get someone to turn on the adjacent heater. The food was mediocre; only good thing was they offered 1/2 portions.
Very good food. The French onion soup is great and I had the halibut special which was very good. Friendly staff and a pleasant semi outdoor environment. Good place to eat before attending the McCallum.
Cute place, standard French bistro food, technically well prepared. But if you're a foodie like me you may well leave disappointed. As my husband said, they have good line cooks, but the Chef is not great
Went there with friends and everyone loved their dinner choices. Wide ranging menu, mostly French and Italian. Energetic and fun atmosphere. Service was a bit slow and had trouble finding the waiter for wine refills. The only negative on the food was the crepe suzette. Was not made at the table and seemed to almost to be pre made. Came out covered to excess with a thick orange sauce. They should leave this off the menu.
Food was very good but service was very slow. Waited an hour for food.
Bland food, nothing seems to have been updated since the Regan administration. Waiter was unfamiliar with the menu items, their preparation, and their pronunciation. Side dishes are miniscule. Once it got busy, the time gap in service stops increased disproportionately.
It is always wonderful.
We went there for a Valentine's day dinner. Reservation was handled promptly, good table. Main course meat was slightly overcooked (both meals). Service was good, but seemed rushed, leading to an atmosphere where you felt rushed. It's a nice place and it seems quite popular, but there are better values elsewhere.
Exceptional in every way.
As usual this restaurant was a joy! It is always a pleasure to go there and it is our favorite restaurant in the desert.
This is a favorite restaurant for us ... always a good experience. We have a special table we like, and they always accommodate us.
Sides were cold and one serving of seafood was under-cooked. Husband's New York was really a cut of prime rib -- but it was delicious. Desserts were great.
